سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِۦ لَيْلًا مِّنَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْأَقْصَا ٱلَّذِى بَٰرَكْنَا حَوْلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَآ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ
Transcendent is the One who made His servant travel by night, from the inviolable place of prostration to the farthest place of prostration, whose surroundings We have blessed, in order that We show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He—He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
Research verse 17:1 →
وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ مِن دُونِى وَكِيلًا
And We gave Moses the Scripture, and We made it a guidance for the Children of Israel: “Do not take, apart from Me, any trustee.”
Research verse 17:2 →
ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا
Offspring of those We carried along with Noah; indeed, he was a servant (devotedly) grateful.
Research verse 17:3 →
وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا
And We decreed to the Children of Israel in the Book: “You will surely cause corruption in the land twice, and you will surely rise to a great height.”
Research verse 17:4 →
فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ أُولَىٰهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًا لَّنَآ أُو۟لِى بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ فَجَاسُوا۟ خِلَٰلَ ٱلدِّيَارِ وَكَانَ وَعْدًا مَّفْعُولًا
So when the promise of the first of the two came, We raised up against you servants of Ours, possessors of intense might, and they moved about through the midst of the dwellings, and it was a promise carried out.
Research verse 17:5 →
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَٰكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيرًا
Then We turned back for you the turn against them, and We extended you with wealth and sons, and We made you greater in [numbers of] men.
Research verse 17:6 →
إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لِيَسُـۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا
If you do good, you do good for your own selves; and if you do bad, then it is against them. So when the promise of the latter [time] comes, [We will raise others] to harm your faces, and to enter the mosque just as they entered it the first time, and to demolish utterly whatever they have prevailed over.
Research verse 17:7 →
عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يَرْحَمَكُمْ وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ حَصِيرًا
It may be that your Lord will show you mercy; but if you return, We return, and We have made Jahannam for the deniers as an enclosure.
Research verse 17:8 →
إِنَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَهْدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا
Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright, and it gives glad tidings to the believers—those who do the sound/wholesome deeds—that they will have a great reward.
Research verse 17:9 →
وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
And that those who do not trust in the Hereafter – We have readied for them a painful punishment.
Research verse 17:10 →
وَيَدْعُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ بِٱلشَّرِّ دُعَآءَهُۥ بِٱلْخَيْرِ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَجُولًا
And the human calls for the bad as he calls for the good, and the human has always been hasty.
Research verse 17:11 →
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ ءَايَتَيْنِ فَمَحَوْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَآ ءَايَةَ ٱلنَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةً لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَصَّلْنَٰهُ تَفْصِيلًا
And We made the night and the day two signs; then We effaced the sign of the night and made the sign of the day one that enables seeing, so that you may seek a bounty from your Lord and so that you may know the number of the years and the reckoning; and every thing We have set out in detailed differentiation.
Research verse 17:12 →
وَكُلَّ إِنسَٰنٍ أَلْزَمْنَٰهُ طَٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِى عُنُقِهِۦ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ كِتَٰبًا يَلْقَىٰهُ مَنشُورًا
And every human — We have made his augury cling to his neck, and We will bring out for him on the Day of Standing a writing which he will encounter spread open.
Research verse 17:13 →
ٱقْرَأْ كِتَٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا
“Read your book; today your own self is enough against you as one who reckons.”
Research verse 17:14 →
مَّنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّىٰ نَبْعَثَ رَسُولًا
Whoever is guided, is only guided for his own self; and whoever goes astray, only goes astray against it. And no bearer (of burden) will bear the burden of another. And We were not ones to chastise until We send a messenger.
Research verse 17:15 →
وَإِذَآ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا۟ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَٰهَا تَدْمِيرًا
And when We intend that We destroy a town, We command its luxuriant ones, then they deviate therein; so the word becomes binding upon it, and We annihilate it with utter annihilation.
Research verse 17:16 →
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ نُوحٍ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًا
And how many generations after Noah We caused to perish; and sufficient is your Lord, regarding the tails (i.e., trailing consequences) of His servants, as fully Aware, Seeing.
Research verse 17:17 →
مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُۥ فِيهَا مَا نَشَآءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَىٰهَا مَذْمُومًا مَّدْحُورًا
Whoever has been wanting the hasty (world), We hasten for him within it whatever We will, for whomever We will; then We assign for him Jahannam: he will be exposed to it, blameworthy, driven away.
Research verse 17:18 →
وَمَنْ أَرَادَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُم مَّشْكُورًا
And whoever wants the Hereafter and strives for it with its [proper] striving while he is one who trusts [in God], then those—their striving has been rewarded.
Research verse 17:19 →
كُلًّا نُّمِدُّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مِنْ عَطَآءِ رَبِّكَ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَآءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا
Each one — We extend these and those from the giving of your Lord; and the giving of your Lord has never been withheld.
Research verse 17:20 →
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَٰتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلًا
Look how We have given some of them advantage over others; yet the Later one is greater in ranks and greater in bestowal of advantage.
Research verse 17:21 →
لَّا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَّخْذُولًا
Do not set up, along with Allah, another god, lest you end up blamed and abandoned.
Research verse 17:22 →
وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَآ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا
And your Lord has decided that you serve none except Him, and (that you show) excellence toward the parents. If one of them or both of them reaches old age with you, then do not say to them “Uff,” and do not rebuke them, but say to them a noble saying.
Research verse 17:23 →
وَٱخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ ٱلذُّلِّ مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱرْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيرًا
And lower for them the wing of lowliness, out of mercy, and say, “My Lord, have mercy on them as they nurtured me when I was small.”
Research verse 17:24 →
رَّبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِى نُفُوسِكُمْ إِن تَكُونُوا۟ صَٰلِحِينَ فَإِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِلْأَوَّٰبِينَ غَفُورًا
Your Lord is most knowing of what is in your selves. If you are sound (in yourselves), then indeed He has always been exceedingly forgiving to those who repeatedly turn back.
Research verse 17:25 →
وَءَاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا
And give the near-relative his due, and the needy and the wayfarer; and do not scatter [your wealth] in reckless scattering.
Research verse 17:26 →
إِنَّ ٱلْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوٓا۟ إِخْوَٰنَ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِرَبِّهِۦ كَفُورًا
Indeed, the scatterers (of wealth) have been brothers of the devils, and the devil has been exceedingly ungrateful to his Lord.
Research verse 17:27 →
وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ رَحْمَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُل لَّهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّيْسُورًا
And if you must turn away from them, seeking a mercy from your Lord that you hope for, then say to them a word that is easy [for them to bear].
Research verse 17:28 →
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ ٱلْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَّحْسُورًا
And do not make your hand shackled to your neck, nor spread it out in total spreading, so that you then sit blamed and worn-out.
Research verse 17:29 →
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًا
Indeed, your Lord spreads out the provision for whom He wills and measures it (down). Indeed, He has always been, regarding His servants, fully aware and seeing.
Research verse 17:30 →
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَٰقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ إِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْـًٔا كَبِيرًا
And do not kill your children out of fear of destitution; We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing has always been a great offence.
Research verse 17:31 →
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلزِّنَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةً وَسَآءَ سَبِيلًا
And do not come near fornication; indeed, it has been an outrageous indecency and a wretched path.
Research verse 17:32 →
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَمَن قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًا فَلَا يُسْرِف فِّى ٱلْقَتْلِ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مَنصُورًا
And do not kill the living self which Allah has made inviolable, except with due right. And whoever is killed while wronged, then We have indeed granted to his close protector an authority, so let him not be excessive in killing; surely he has been given support.
Research verse 17:33 →
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ مَالَ ٱلْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَأَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعَهْدِ إِنَّ ٱلْعَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْـُٔولًا
And do not go near the wealth of the orphan except by what is best, until he reaches his full strength. And fulfill the covenant; indeed, the covenant is something that will be asked about.
Research verse 17:34 →
وَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ إِذَا كِلْتُمْ وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا
And complete the measure when you measure, and weigh with the straight balance. That is better and more excellent in outcome.
Research verse 17:35 →
وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ إِنَّ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْبَصَرَ وَٱلْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْـُٔولًا
And do not follow what you have no knowledge of. Indeed, the hearing, and the sight, and the inner heart—each of those has always been [something] to be asked about.
Research verse 17:36 →
وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا إِنَّكَ لَن تَخْرِقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَلَن تَبْلُغَ ٱلْجِبَالَ طُولًا
And do not walk on the earth exultantly; you will certainly never pierce the earth, nor will you ever reach the mountains in stature.
Research verse 17:37 →
كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّكَ مَكْرُوهًا
All of that—its bad aspect has been, with your Lord, something loathed.
Research verse 17:38 →
ذَٰلِكَ مِمَّآ أَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ مِنَ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتُلْقَىٰ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَلُومًا مَّدْحُورًا
That is among what your Lord has inspired to you of wisdom. And do not set up, along with Allah, another god, lest you be cast into Hell—blameworthy, driven away.
Research verse 17:39 →
أَفَأَصْفَىٰكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ وَٱتَّخَذَ مِنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنَٰثًا إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا
Has your Lord, then, specially reserved for you the sons and taken from the angels females? You are indeed uttering a tremendous statement.
Research verse 17:40 →
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا
And We have indeed varied [the presentation] in this Qur’an so that they might remember; but it does not increase them in anything except fleeing away.
Research verse 17:41 →
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ مَعَهُۥٓ ءَالِهَةٌ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذًا لَّٱبْتَغَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ سَبِيلًا
Say, “If there had been with Him gods, as they say, then indeed they would have sought a way to the Possessor of the Throne.”
Research verse 17:42 →
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا
Immaculate is He, and He has risen far above what they say — a tremendous rising.
Research verse 17:43 →
تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ٱلسَّبْعُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ وَإِن مِّن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا
The seven heavens and the earth and whoever is in them declare His glory; and there is not a thing but that it declares His glory along with His praise, but you do not comprehend their glorification. Indeed, He has always been clement and ever-covering [of faults].
Research verse 17:44 →
وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُورًا
And when you recite the Qur’an, We place between you and those who do not trust in the Hereafter a screened-off barrier.
Research verse 17:45 →
وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِى ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَحْدَهُۥ وَلَّوْا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَٰرِهِمْ نُفُورًا
And We have placed upon their hearts coverings so that they do not comprehend it, and in their ears a heaviness; and when you mention your Lord in the Recitation alone, they turn away on their backs in fleeing aversion.
Research verse 17:46 →
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِذْ هُمْ نَجْوَىٰٓ إِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا
We are most knowing of what they listen with, when they listen to you, and when they are in secret counsel, when the wrongdoers say, “You are following nothing but a man under a spell.”
Research verse 17:47 →
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا
Look how they set up likenesses for you, so they have sunk astray, and thus are unable [to find] any path.
Research verse 17:48 →
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا وَرُفَٰتًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا
And they say, “Is it that when we have become bones and scattered fragments, will we indeed be raised as a new creation?”
Research verse 17:49 →
قُلْ كُونُوا۟ حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا
Say, “Be [even] stones or iron
Research verse 17:50 →
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِّمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِى صُدُورِكُمْ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَن يُعِيدُنَا قُلِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ قُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا
or [even] a creation from whatever seems greater in your chests.” Then they will say, “Who will bring us back?” Say, “The One who originated you the first time.” Then they will shake their heads at you and say, “When will that be?” Say, “It may well be that it is near.”
Research verse 17:51 →
يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
The Day He calls you, then you will respond with His praise, and you will suppose that you did not remain except a little.
Research verse 17:52 →
وَقُل لِّعِبَادِى يَقُولُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ يَنزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ عَدُوًّا مُّبِينًا
And say to My servants that they should say that which is best; indeed, the Satan stirs (hostility) between them. Indeed, the Satan has always been a clear enemy to the human being.
Research verse 17:53 →
رَّبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِن يَشَأْ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَوْ إِن يَشَأْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلًا
Your Lord is most knowing of you. If He wills, He shows you mercy, or if He wills, He subjects you to punishment. And We have not sent you over them as one entrusted with their affairs.
Research verse 17:54 →
وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُورًا
And your Lord is most knowing of whoever is in the heavens and the earth; and We have indeed given some of the prophets advantage over others, and We granted David a Zabūr.
Research verse 17:55 →
قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ كَشْفَ ٱلضُّرِّ عَنكُمْ وَلَا تَحْوِيلًا
Say, “Call upon those you have claimed apart from Him; they do not possess [any] removal of the harm from you, nor [even] a shifting of it.”
Research verse 17:56 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُۥ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُۥٓ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا
Those whom they call upon — they themselves seek the means of approach to their Lord, [striving to see] which of them is nearer, and they hope for His mercy and fear His repair‑punishment; indeed, the repair‑punishment of your Lord has always been something to beware.
Research verse 17:57 →
وَإِن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا نَحْنُ مُهْلِكُوهَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَسْطُورًا
And there is no town but that We are destroyers of it before the Day of Standing, or punishers of it with an intense punishment; that has been inscribed in the Writing.
Research verse 17:58 →
وَمَا مَنَعَنَآ أَن نُّرْسِلَ بِٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ إِلَّآ أَن كَذَّبَ بِهَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ وَءَاتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ ٱلنَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُوا۟ بِهَا وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ إِلَّا تَخْوِيفًا
And nothing prevented Us from sending with the signs except that the former ones denied them. And We gave Thamud the she‑camel as one making [things] seen, but they wronged through it. And We do not send with the signs except [for] causing fear.
Research verse 17:59 →
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِٱلنَّاسِ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا ٱلرُّءْيَا ٱلَّتِىٓ أَرَيْنَٰكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّجَرَةَ ٱلْمَلْعُونَةَ فِى ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا طُغْيَٰنًا كَبِيرًا
And when We said to you, “Indeed, your Lord has encompassed the people.” And We did not make the vision which We showed you except as a trial for the people, and [likewise] the cursed tree in the Qur’an. And We cause them to fear, but it increases them only in great overstepping.
Research verse 17:60 →
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ ءَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا
And when We said to the angels, “Fall down in prostration to Adam,” so they fell in prostration, except Iblis; he said, “Shall I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?”
Research verse 17:61 →
قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كَرَّمْتَ عَلَىَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
He said, “Have You considered this one whom You have given distinction over me? If You delay me until the Day of Rising, I will most certainly take full control of his offspring, except for a few.”
Research verse 17:62 →
قَالَ ٱذْهَبْ فَمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَآؤُكُمْ جَزَآءً مَّوْفُورًا
He said, “Go. So whoever follows you from among them, then indeed Hell is your recompense—an abundant recompense.”
Research verse 17:63 →
وَٱسْتَفْزِزْ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتَ مِنْهُم بِصَوْتِكَ وَأَجْلِبْ عَلَيْهِم بِخَيْلِكَ وَرَجِلِكَ وَشَارِكْهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِ وَعِدْهُمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا
“And unsettle, with your voice, whoever among them you are able; and muster against them your cavalry and your infantry; and share with them in the wealth and the children; and promise them. But Satan does not promise them except delusion.”
Research verse 17:64 →
إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنٌ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ وَكِيلًا
Indeed, My servants – you have no authority over them; and sufficient is your Lord as a trustee‑in‑charge.
Research verse 17:65 →
رَّبُّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُزْجِى لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ لِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا
Your Lord is the One who gently drives the ships for you in the sea so that you may seek of His bounty; indeed, He has always been compassionate towards you.
Research verse 17:66 →
وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ كَفُورًا
And when harm touches you in the sea, those you call upon are lost, except Him; then when He delivers you to the land, you turn away, and the human being has always been intensely ungrateful.
Research verse 17:67 →
أَفَأَمِنتُمْ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمْ جَانِبَ ٱلْبَرِّ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا۟ لَكُمْ وَكِيلًا
So do you feel secure that He will not cause the side of the land to cave in with you, or send upon you a stone‑hurling [blast]? Then you will not find for yourselves any trustee‑disposer [of affairs].
Research verse 17:68 →
أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ أَن يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفًا مِّنَ ٱلرِّيحِ فَيُغْرِقَكُم بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا۟ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِۦ تَبِيعًا
Or have you felt secure that He would not return you in it another time, then send against you a shattering [blast] from the wind and so drown you because of what you covered [over], then you would not find for yourselves, against Us regarding it, any follower-up [to pursue the matter]?
Research verse 17:69 →
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا
And indeed We have ennobled the children of Adam, and We have carried them on the dry land and on the sea, and We have provided for them out of the wholesome things, and We have given them advantage over many of those We have created, with a distinct giving-of-advantage.
Research verse 17:70 →
يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا۟ كُلَّ أُنَاسٍۭ بِإِمَٰمِهِمْ فَمَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَٰبَهُمْ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا
The Day We call every group of humans with their leader; then whoever is given his writ in his right hand – such as these will read their writ, and they will not be wronged in the least.
Research verse 17:71 →
وَمَن كَانَ فِى هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعْمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَعْمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
And whoever has been blind in this, then he will be blind in the Later [life], and further astray in [his] path.
Research verse 17:72 →
وَإِن كَادُوا۟ لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِىَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُۥ وَإِذًا لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلًا
And indeed, they almost subjected you to a trial away from what We revealed to you, so that you would fabricate, against Us, something other than it; and then they would have taken you as an intimate ally.
Research verse 17:73 →
وَلَوْلَآ أَن ثَبَّتْنَٰكَ لَقَدْ كِدتَّ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْـًٔا قَلِيلًا
And if it were not that We made you firm, you were indeed about to lean toward them a little bit.
Research verse 17:74 →
إِذًا لَّأَذَقْنَٰكَ ضِعْفَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ وَضِعْفَ ٱلْمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيْنَا نَصِيرًا
Then, We would certainly have made you taste a double [share] of the life and a double [share] of the death; then you would not find for yourself, against Us, any helper.
Research verse 17:75 →
وَإِن كَادُوا۟ لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجُوكَ مِنْهَا وَإِذًا لَّا يَلْبَثُونَ خِلَٰفَكَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
And indeed, they almost provoke you out of the land to drive you out from it; and then, they would not remain after you except a little.
Research verse 17:76 →
سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا
[This is] the pattern of those whom We have already sent before you from among Our messengers, and you will not find for Our pattern any change.
Research verse 17:77 →
أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِدُلُوكِ ٱلشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَقُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا
Maintain the salāh from the slipping of the sun until the deep darkness of the night, and (especially) the recitation at daybreak; indeed, the recitation at daybreak has always been witnessed.
Research verse 17:78 →
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِۦ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا
And from the night, keep awake with it as an extra (devotion) for you; it may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised standing-place.
Research verse 17:79 →
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِى مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِى مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَٱجْعَل لِّى مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَٰنًا نَّصِيرًا
And say, “My Lord, cause me to enter an entrance of truth, and bring me out an exit of truth, and appoint for me, from Yourself, an authority as a helper.”
Research verse 17:80 →
وَقُلْ جَآءَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ إِنَّ ٱلْبَٰطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا
And say, “The truth has come, and the falsity has vanished; indeed, the falsity has always been something that vanishes.”
Research verse 17:81 →
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا
And We are sending down, from the Recitation, that which is a healing and a mercy for those who are secure in it; and it does not increase the darkeners except in loss.
Research verse 17:82 →
وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوسًا
And when We bestow ease and pleasant good upon the human, he turns away and draws off to his side; but when harm touches him, he is ever deeply despairing.
Research verse 17:83 →
قُلْ كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ عَلَىٰ شَاكِلَتِهِۦ فَرَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ سَبِيلًا
Say, “Each one acts according to his own pattern; so your Lord is most knowing of who is more guided in [the] way.”
Research verse 17:84 →
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلرُّوحِ قُلِ ٱلرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّى وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
And they ask you about the rūḥ. Say, “The rūḥ is from the command of my Lord, and you have not been given of knowledge except a little.”
Research verse 17:85 →
وَلَئِن شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِۦ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا
And if We should will, We would surely take away what We have communicated to you, then you would not find for yourself, regarding it, any entrusted agent against Us.
Research verse 17:86 →
إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ إِنَّ فَضْلَهُۥ كَانَ عَلَيْكَ كَبِيرًا
Except as a mercy from your Lord; indeed, His bounty toward you has been immense.
Research verse 17:87 →
قُل لَّئِنِ ٱجْتَمَعَتِ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا
Say, “If humankind and the unseen beings were to gather together in order to bring something like this Qur’an, they would never bring anything like it, even if some of them were backing up others.”
Research verse 17:88 →
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا
And We have indeed varied, for the people, in this Qur’an, [presentations] from every kind of likeness; yet most people refused [to respond] with anything but intense covering [of the truth].
Research verse 17:89 →
وَقَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ تَفْجُرَ لَنَا مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ يَنۢبُوعًا
And they said, “We will never trust in you until you cause to burst forth for us from the earth a spring.”
Research verse 17:90 →
أَوْ تَكُونَ لَكَ جَنَّةٌ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَعِنَبٍ فَتُفَجِّرَ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ خِلَٰلَهَا تَفْجِيرًا
Or [until] there is for you a garden of date-palms and grapevines, and then you cause the rivers to burst forth through its midst, bursting forth.
Research verse 17:91 →
أَوْ تُسْقِطَ ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَمَا زَعَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا أَوْ تَأْتِىَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ قَبِيلًا
or you make the sky fall upon us, in pieces, as you have claimed; or you bring God and the angels to us, face‑to‑face.
Research verse 17:92 →
أَوْ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيْتٌ مِّن زُخْرُفٍ أَوْ تَرْقَىٰ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَن نُّؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّىٰ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَٰبًا نَّقْرَؤُهُۥ قُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّى هَلْ كُنتُ إِلَّا بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا
or there be for you a house of ornament, or you ascend into the sky; yet we will never be secure in (i.e., accept with trust) your ascending until you bring down upon us a writing that we can read.” Say, “Glory be to my Lord! Have I ever been anything but a human, a messenger?”
Research verse 17:93 →
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا
And nothing prevented the people from trusting [in it] when the guidance came to them, except that they said, “Has God sent a human as a messenger?”
Research verse 17:94 →
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ يَمْشُونَ مُطْمَئِنِّينَ لَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَلَكًا رَّسُولًا
Say, “If there were on the earth angels walking, at ease, We would surely have sent down upon them from the heaven an angel as a messenger.”
Research verse 17:95 →
قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًۢا بَصِيرًا
Say, “Allah is enough as a witness between me and you; indeed, He has always been fully aware of His servants, all‑seeing.”
Research verse 17:96 →
وَمَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِهِۦ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا مَّأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَٰهُمْ سَعِيرًا
And whomever Allah guides, then he is the guided one; and whomever He lets stray, you will never find for them any allies apart from Him. And We will gather them on the Day of Standing upon their faces, blind, and dumb, and deaf. Their shelter is Jahannam; whenever it dies down, We increase for them a blazing flame.
Research verse 17:97 →
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا وَرُفَٰتًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا
That is their recompense because they covered up (the truth of) Our signs and said, “Is it that when we have become bones and scattered dust, shall we indeed be raised as a new creation?”
Research verse 17:98 →
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَهُمْ أَجَلًا لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَأَبَى ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِلَّا كُفُورًا
Have they then not seen that Allah—the One who created the heavens and the earth—is capable of creating the like of them, and He has set for them a term in which there is no doubt? Yet the wrongdoers refused nothing but extreme denial.
Research verse 17:99 →
قُل لَّوْ أَنتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَآئِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّىٓ إِذًا لَّأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ ٱلْإِنفَاقِ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ قَتُورًا
Say, “If you were to possess the treasuries of the mercy of my Lord, then you would surely hold back, out of fear of expenditure; and man has always been extremely tight‑fisted.”
Research verse 17:100 →
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ تِسْعَ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍ فَسْـَٔلْ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ إِذْ جَآءَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُۥ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّى لَأَظُنُّكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ مَسْحُورًا
And indeed We gave Moses nine clear signs; so ask the Children of Israel when he came to them, and Pharaoh said to him, “Indeed I surely think you, O Moses, to be bewitched.”
Research verse 17:101 →
قَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَآ أَنزَلَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِلَّا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ بَصَآئِرَ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّكَ يَٰفِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورًا
He said, “You have certainly known that none has sent these down as insights except the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and indeed I surely regard you, O Pharaoh, as one destined for ruin.”
Research verse 17:102 →
فَأَرَادَ أَن يَسْتَفِزَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ جَمِيعًا
So he intended to unsettle them from the land, then We drowned him and whoever was with him, all together.
Research verse 17:103 →
وَقُلْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ لِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفًا
And We said, after him, to the Children of Israel, “Settle in the land; then when the appointment of the Later (time) comes, We will bring you forth as an interwoven multitude.”
Research verse 17:104 →
وَبِٱلْحَقِّ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ وَبِٱلْحَقِّ نَزَلَ وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا
And with the truth We sent it down, and with the truth it came down; and We did not send you except as a bringer of good news and a warner.
Research verse 17:105 →
وَقُرْءَانًا فَرَقْنَٰهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَٰهُ تَنزِيلًا
And [it is] a Qur’an that We have set apart in sections so that you may recite it to the people with pause, and We have sent it down as a gradual sending-down.
Research verse 17:106 →
قُلْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوْ لَا تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦٓ إِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدًا
Say, “Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given the knowledge before it—when it is recited to them, they collapse upon the chins, prostrating.”
Research verse 17:107 →
وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِن كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا
And they say, “Glory be to our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord is surely to be carried out.”
Research verse 17:108 →
وَيَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ يَبْكُونَ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ خُشُوعًا
And they collapse upon the chins, weeping, and it increases them in humbling.
Research verse 17:109 →
قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ أَوِ ٱدْعُوا۟ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ أَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُوا۟ فَلَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَٱبْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا
Say, “Call upon Allah, or call upon the All-Merciful; whichever you call upon, then to Him belong the most excellent names. And do not raise your voice loudly in your prayer, nor lower it to concealment within it, but seek a way in between that.”
Research verse 17:110 →
وَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلِىٌّ مِّنَ ٱلذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًۢا
And say, “All praise is for Allah, the One who has not taken a child, and there has never been for Him any partner in the dominion, and there has never been for Him any ally arising from lowliness; and magnify Him with (utter) magnification.”
Research verse 17:111 →
