ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا
Praise belongs to Allah, the One who has sent down upon His servant the Book and has not made for it any crookedness,
Research verse 18:1 →
قَيِّمًا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا
Upright, so that it may warn of a severe might from His presence, and give good news to the believers who do the sound/wholesome deeds that they will have a fine reward,
Research verse 18:2 →
مَّٰكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا
remaining therein endlessly
Research verse 18:3 →
وَيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا
and to warn those who said, “Allah has taken [for Himself] a child.”
Research verse 18:4 →
مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِـَٔابَآئِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا
They have no knowledge of it, nor do their fathers. Enormous is the utterance that comes out of their mouths; they say nothing but a lie.
Research verse 18:5 →
فَلَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا
So perhaps you would destroy yourself over their traces, if they do not believe in this discourse, out of grief.
Research verse 18:6 →
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا
We have indeed made whatever is upon the earth an adornment for it, so that We may test them [to see] which of them is best in deed.
Research verse 18:7 →
وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا
And indeed, We are surely to make whatever is upon it into a bare, cut‑off surface.
Research verse 18:8 →
أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا عَجَبًا
Or did you reckon that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, something astonishing?
Research verse 18:9 →
إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
When the youths took refuge in the cave and said, “Our Lord, grant us from Yourself a mercy, and arrange for us, in regard to our affair, sound rightness.”
Research verse 18:10 →
فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًا
So We struck upon their ears in the cave for numbered years.
Research verse 18:11 →
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَىُّ ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓا۟ أَمَدًا
Then We raised them up so that We might know which of the two groups was more exact in counting the span of time they had remained.
Research verse 18:12 →
نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ هُدًى
We recount to you their news in truth: indeed, they were young men who trusted in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.
Research verse 18:13 →
وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا۟ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَٰهًا لَّقَدْ قُلْنَآ إِذًا شَطَطًا
And We bound firmly upon their hearts when they rose and said, “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth; we will never call, apart from Him, upon any god — for then we would indeed have spoken an outrageous excess.”
Research verse 18:14 →
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمُنَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّوْلَا يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَيِّنٍ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا
These are our people who have taken, apart from Him, gods. Why do they not bring over them a clear authority? So who is more darkly unjust than one who has fabricated a lie against Allah?
Research verse 18:15 →
وَإِذِ ٱعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَأْوُۥٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُم مِّنْ أَمْرِكُم مِّرْفَقًا
And when you have separated yourselves from them and from what they serve, apart from Allah, then seek refuge in the cave; your Lord will spread out for you something of His mercy, and will arrange for you, in regard to your affair, a means of ease.
Research verse 18:16 →
وَتَرَى ٱلشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَت تَّزَٰوَرُ عَن كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَت تَّقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِى فَجْوَةٍ مِّنْهُ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مَن يَهْدِ ٱللَّهُ فَهُوَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُۥ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا
And you would see the sun, when it rose, drawing away from their cave to the right, and when it set, cutting across them to the left, while they were in a spacious hollow within it. That is from the signs of Allah. Whoever Allah guides, then he is the guided one; and whoever He lets go astray, you will never find for him a protecting, directing ally.
Research verse 18:17 →
وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَكَلْبُهُم بَٰسِطٌ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِٱلْوَصِيدِ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًا
And you would reckon them to be awake, while they were sleepers; and We kept turning them to the right and to the left, while their dog was stretching out its forelegs at the closed entrance. If you had looked down upon them, you would surely have turned away from them in flight, and you would surely have been filled with dread because of them.
Research verse 18:18 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِيَتَسَآءَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمْ قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَٱبْعَثُوٓا۟ أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَآ أَزْكَىٰ طَعَامًا فَلْيَأْتِكُم بِرِزْقٍ مِّنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلَا يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدًا
And in this way We raised them up so that they might ask one another. A speaker among them said, “How long did you stay?” They said, “We stayed a day or part of a day.” They said, “Your Lord is more knowing of how long you stayed. So send one of you with these pieces of silver of yours to the city, and let him look which of them has more wholesome food, then let him bring you provision from it, and let him be gentle, and let him not make anyone aware of you.”
Research verse 18:19 →
إِنَّهُمْ إِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ يَرْجُمُوكُمْ أَوْ يُعِيدُوكُمْ فِى مِلَّتِهِمْ وَلَن تُفْلِحُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًا
Indeed, if they gain the upper hand over you, they will stone you, or they will turn you back into their creed; and then you will never prosper, ever.
Research verse 18:20 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ فَقَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَٰنًا رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا
And in this way We made them be discovered, so that they would know that the appointment of Allah is real, and that the Hour – there is no doubt about it – when they were disputing among themselves about their affair. Then they said, “Build over them a structure; their Lord knows best about them.” Those who prevailed over their affair said, “We will certainly take over them a place of prostration.”
Research verse 18:21 →
سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلَٰثَةٌ رَّابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَةٌ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْمًۢا بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَةٌ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ فَلَا تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلَّا مِرَآءً ظَٰهِرًا وَلَا تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِم مِّنْهُمْ أَحَدًا
They will say, “[They were] three, the fourth of them being their dog,” and they will say, “[They were] five, the sixth of them being their dog,” — a casting of stones at the unseen — and they will say, “[They were] seven, and the eighth of them [was] their dog.” Say, “My Lord is most knowing regarding their number; none knows them except a few. So do not dispute about them except with an outward disputation, and do not seek a ruling concerning them from any one of them.”
Research verse 18:22 →
وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَا۟ىْءٍ إِنِّى فَاعِلٌ ذَٰلِكَ غَدًا
And do not ever say about anything, “I am indeed one who will do that tomorrow”
Research verse 18:23 →
إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ وَٱذْكُر رَّبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّى لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَٰذَا رَشَدًا
except if Allah wills. And remember your Lord when you forget, and say, “It may be that my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this in sound guidance.”
Research verse 18:24 →
وَلَبِثُوا۟ فِى كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَٰثَ مِا۟ئَةٍ سِنِينَ وَٱزْدَادُوا۟ تِسْعًا
And they remained in their cave three hundred years, and they added nine.
Research verse 18:25 →
قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا۟ لَهُۥ غَيْبُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَبْصِرْ بِهِۦ وَأَسْمِعْ مَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِى حُكْمِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا
Say, “Allah is most knowing of how long they stayed. To Him belongs the hidden (unseen) of the heavens and the earth. Look how He sees, and how He hears! They have, apart from Him, no protecting ally, and He does not join anyone in His judgment.”
Research verse 18:26 →
وَٱتْلُ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَن تَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا
And recite what has been communicated to you from the Book of your Lord; there is no substituter for His words, and you will never find, apart from Him, any place of escape.
Research verse 18:27 →
وَٱصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُۥ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُۥ فُرُطًا
And endure with those who call upon their Lord at early morning and late evening, seeking His face; and do not let your eyes pass beyond them, wanting the adornment of the lowly life. And do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, and who follows his desire, and whose affair is an excess.
Research verse 18:28 →
وَقُلِ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَآءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا۟ يُغَاثُوا۟ بِمَآءٍ كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى ٱلْوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ ٱلشَّرَابُ وَسَآءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا
And say, “The truth is from your Lord. So whoever wishes – let him trust, and whoever wishes – let him cover [it]. Indeed, We have made ready for the wrongdoers a fire whose enclosing canopy surrounds them. And if they cry for rescue, they will be rescued with water like molten dregs that roast the faces. Miserable is the drink, and wretched as a place to lean.”
Research verse 18:29 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا
Indeed, those who have trusted (felt secure) and have done the sound/wholesome deeds – indeed, We do not let go to waste the recompense of whoever has excelled in deed.
Research verse 18:30 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا مِّن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ فِيهَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ نِعْمَ ٱلثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا
Those – for them are gardens of enduring stay, beneath them the rivers flow. They are adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein upon the couches. Excellent is the recompense, and how good as a place of support.
Research verse 18:31 →
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا رَّجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لِأَحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ مِنْ أَعْنَٰبٍ وَحَفَفْنَٰهُمَا بِنَخْلٍ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعًا
And strike for them a likeness of two men: We made for one of them two gardens of grapevines, and We encircled them with date‑palms, and We made between them cultivated growth.
Research verse 18:32 →
كِلْتَا ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ ءَاتَتْ أُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِم مِّنْهُ شَيْـًٔا وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلَٰلَهُمَا نَهَرًا
Each of the two gardens yielded its produce and did not diminish anything of it, and We caused a river to burst forth through the midst of them.
Research verse 18:33 →
وَكَانَ لَهُۥ ثَمَرٌ فَقَالَ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَنَا۠ أَكْثَرُ مِنكَ مَالًا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرًا
And he had produce, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, “I am greater than you in wealth and stronger in manpower.”
Research verse 18:34 →
وَدَخَلَ جَنَّتَهُۥ وَهُوَ ظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ قَالَ مَآ أَظُنُّ أَن تَبِيدَ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَبَدًا
And he entered his garden while he was a wrongdoer against his own self; he said, “I do not think that this will ever perish.”
Research verse 18:35 →
وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًا
And I do not think the Hour is standing. Yet if I am indeed returned to my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a place of return.
Research verse 18:36 →
قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرْتَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلًا
His companion said to him, while he was engaging him in dialogue, “Have you covered over (rejected) the One who created you from dust, then from a drop (of fluid), then fashioned you as a man?”
Research verse 18:37 →
لَّٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًا
But as for me: He is Allah, my Lord, and I do not make anyone share with my Lord.
Research verse 18:38 →
وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا۠ أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا
And if only, when you entered your garden, you had said, “Whatever Allah wills; there is no strength except by Allah.” If you see me as being less than you in wealth and children—
Research verse 18:39 →
فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا
So perhaps my Lord will grant me better than your garden, and will send upon it a reckoning from the sky, so it becomes a bare, slippery ground.
Research verse 18:40 →
أَوْ يُصْبِحَ مَآؤُهَا غَوْرًا فَلَن تَسْتَطِيعَ لَهُۥ طَلَبًا
Or its water could become deeply sunken, and then you would not be able to seek it at all.
Research verse 18:41 →
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًا
And his produce was encompassed, so he began turning his palms over (and over) in regret for what he had spent on it, while it lay emptied upon its trellises, and he kept saying, “If only I had not joined anyone with my Lord.”
Research verse 18:42 →
وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ فِئَةٌ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرًا
And he had no group to help him apart from Allah, and he was not one who could help himself.
Research verse 18:43 →
هُنَالِكَ ٱلْوَلَٰيَةُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْحَقِّ هُوَ خَيْرٌ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ عُقْبًا
Thereupon, the true close‑protective authority belongs to Allah; He is best as a requital and best as a final outcome.
Research verse 18:44 →
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيمًا تَذْرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ مُّقْتَدِرًا
And strike for them the likeness of the nearer life: as water which We have sent down from the sky, then with it the growth of the earth became mixed, then it became dry broken-off debris which the winds scatter, and Allah has always been, over every thing, One fully able.
Research verse 18:45 →
ٱلْمَالُ وَٱلْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا
Wealth and children are an adornment of the lowly life, while the enduring sound deeds are better, with your Lord, in recompense and better in expectation.
Research verse 18:46 →
وَيَوْمَ نُسَيِّرُ ٱلْجِبَالَ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ بَارِزَةً وَحَشَرْنَٰهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا
And [remember] the Day We set the mountains in motion, and you see the earth laid bare, and We gather them, so We do not leave out from them anyone.
Research verse 18:47 →
وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًا
And they will be presented before your Lord in a row: “You have indeed come to Us just as We created you the first time. Rather, you had claimed that We would never set for you an appointed time.”
Research verse 18:48 →
وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًا وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًا
And the written record will be set down, and you will see the criminals anxious about what is in it, and they will say, “O our woe! What is [with] this book that it leaves out neither a small thing nor a great one without having counted it?” And they will find what they did present, and your Lord does not wrong anyone.
Research verse 18:49 →
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ بِئْسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًا
And when We said to the angels, “Fall down for Adam,” so they fell down, except Iblis; he had been of the jinn, so he broke away from the command of his Lord. Will you, then, take him and his offspring as protectors apart from Me, while they are an enemy to you? How evil a substitute for the wrongdoers!
Research verse 18:50 →
مَّآ أَشْهَدتُّهُمْ خَلْقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا خَلْقَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ ٱلْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًا
I did not make them witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor the creation of their own selves; and I was not one to take the misleaders as a support.
Research verse 18:51 →
وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ نَادُوا۟ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّوْبِقًا
And [remember] the Day He will say, “Call upon My partners whom you claimed,” so they will call upon them, but they will not respond to them; and We will place a ruinous barrier between them.
Research verse 18:52 →
وَرَءَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٱلنَّارَ فَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًا
And the criminals saw the Fire, so they were convinced that they would be falling into it, and they did not find any turning away from it.
Research verse 18:53 →
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَكْثَرَ شَىْءٍ جَدَلًا
And We have indeed varied, in this Qur’an, for the people, every kind of likeness; yet the human being has been, more than anything, argumentative.
Research verse 18:54 →
وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِذْ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ قُبُلًا
And nothing has been preventing the people from believing when the guidance came to them and from seeking forgiveness of their Lord, except that there should come upon them the pattern of the former ones, or that the punishment should come upon them face‑to‑face.
Research verse 18:55 →
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَيُجَٰدِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَمَآ أُنذِرُوا۟ هُزُوًا
And We do not send the envoys except as bearers of good news and as warners; yet those who have covered over [the truth] argue with what is null and void so that they may thereby make the truth slip away, and they have taken My signs and what they were warned of as a mockery.
Research verse 18:56 →
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِىَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَلَن يَهْتَدُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًا
And who is more darkly unjust than one who has been reminded by the signs of his Lord, then turned away from them and forgot what his own hands had sent ahead? We have indeed placed coverings upon their hearts so that they do not comprehend it, and a heaviness in their ears; and if you call them to the guidance, then they will never be guided, ever.
Research verse 18:57 →
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ بَل لَّهُم مَّوْعِدٌ لَّن يَجِدُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَوْئِلًا
And your Lord is the Forgiving, possessor of mercy. If He were to take them to task for what they have earned, He would indeed have hastened the punishment for them. But instead, for them there is an appointed time which they will never find any refuge away from.
Research verse 18:58 →
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدًا
And those towns — We destroyed them when they wronged, and We set for their ruin an appointed time.
Research verse 18:59 →
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِفَتَىٰهُ لَآ أَبْرَحُ حَتَّىٰٓ أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِىَ حُقُبًا
And when Moses said to his young attendant, “I will not depart until I reach the meeting-place of the two seas, or I will go on for long spans (of time).”
Research verse 18:60 →
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا فَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ سَرَبًا
Then when they reached the meeting‑place of the two (seas), they forgot their fish, and it took its path in the sea as a tunnel‑like passage.
Research verse 18:61 →
فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتَىٰهُ ءَاتِنَا غَدَآءَنَا لَقَدْ لَقِينَا مِن سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا نَصَبًا
Then when they had passed on, he said to his young man, “Bring us our meal; we have indeed encountered, from this journey of ours, hardship.”
Research verse 18:62 →
قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَآ إِلَى ٱلصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّى نَسِيتُ ٱلْحُوتَ وَمَآ أَنسَىٰنِيهُ إِلَّا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَهُۥ وَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ عَجَبًا
He said, “Did you see, when we sought shelter by the rock? Indeed, I forgot the fish, and none made me forget it except the shayṭān, so that I did not remember it; and it took its path into the sea in a wondrous way.”
Research verse 18:63 →
قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ فَٱرْتَدَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًا
He said, “That is what we had been seeking.” So they turned back, following upon their traces, tracking them.
Research verse 18:64 →
فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًا
Then they found a servant from among Our servants, to whom We had given mercy from Us, and We had taught him, from Our very presence, knowledge.
Research verse 18:65 →
قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدًا
Moses said to him, “May I follow you on [the basis] that you teach me, of what you have been taught, right guidance?”
Research verse 18:66 →
قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًا
He said, "Indeed, you will never be able to endure together with me."
Research verse 18:67 →
وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلَىٰ مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ خُبْرًا
And how could you endure regarding what you have not encompassed with experience?
Research verse 18:68 →
قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ صَابِرًا وَلَآ أَعْصِى لَكَ أَمْرًا
He said, "You will soon find me—if Allah wills—enduring, and I will not oppose you in any command."
Research verse 18:69 →
قَالَ فَإِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَنِى فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِى عَن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ أُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرًا
He said, “Then if you follow me, do not ask me about anything until I produce for you, regarding it, a mention (reminder).”
Research verse 18:70 →
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَكِبَا فِى ٱلسَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا إِمْرًا
So they set out until, when they both boarded the ship, he damaged it. He said, “Have you damaged it in order to drown its people? You have indeed brought something outrageous.”
Research verse 18:71 →
قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًا
He said, "Did I not say that you will never be able to endure with me?"
Research verse 18:72 →
قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِى بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلَا تُرْهِقْنِى مِنْ أَمْرِى عُسْرًا
He said, “Do not call me to account for what I forgot, and do not burden me, in regard to my affair, with hardship.”
Research verse 18:73 →
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَٰمًا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةًۢ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا نُّكْرًا
So they set out until, when they encountered a boy, then he killed him. He said, “Have you killed a pure life, not in place of a life? You have certainly brought something monstrous.”
Research verse 18:74 →
قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكَ إِنَّكَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِىَ صَبْرًا
He said, "Did I not say to you that you will never be able to endure along with me?"
Research verse 18:75 →
قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَىْءٍۭ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَٰحِبْنِى قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّى عُذْرًا
He said, “If I ask you about anything after this, then do not accompany me; you have indeed reached, from my side, an excuse.”
Research verse 18:76 →
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَيَآ أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ ٱسْتَطْعَمَآ أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا۟ أَن يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارًا يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَهُۥ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا
So the two went on until, when they came to the people of a town, they asked its people for food, but they refused to host them as guests. Then they found in it a wall that was wanting to fall down, so he set it upright. He said, “If you wished, you could certainly have taken a payment for it.”
Research verse 18:77 →
قَالَ هَٰذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا
He said, "This is the separation between me and you. I will soon inform you of the outcome‑meaning of that over which you were not able to endure."
Research verse 18:78 →
أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَٰكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًا
As for the ship, it was for needy people who worked in the sea, so I wanted to blemish it, for there was ahead of them a king who seizes every ship by force.
Research verse 18:79 →
وَأَمَّا ٱلْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَن يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰنًا وَكُفْرًا
And as for the boy, his parents were believers, so we were apprehensive that he would press them into excess and denial.
Research verse 18:80 →
فَأَرَدْنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُ زَكَوٰةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا
So we intended that their Lord should replace for them one better than him in purity and nearer in mercy.
Research verse 18:81 →
وَأَمَّا ٱلْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَٰمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهُۥ كَنزٌ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَٰلِحًا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَن يَبْلُغَآ أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَمَا فَعَلْتُهُۥ عَنْ أَمْرِى ذَٰلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِع عَّلَيْهِ صَبْرًا
And as for the wall, it was for two orphan boys in the town, and beneath it there was a treasure belonging to them, and their father had been of the righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach their full strength and that they bring out their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did not do it by my own command. That is the outcome/realization of what you were not able to endure.
Research verse 18:82 →
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَن ذِى ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ قُلْ سَأَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْهُ ذِكْرًا
And they ask you about the possessor of the two horns. Say, “I will soon recite to you, from him, a mention.”
Research verse 18:83 →
إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ سَبَبًا
Indeed, We firmly established him in the land, and We granted him, of every thing, a means.
Research verse 18:84 →
فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا
So he followed up a means.
Research verse 18:85 →
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا
Until, when he reached the place of the sun’s setting, he found it setting in a murky spring, and he found near it a people. We said, “O Possessor of the Two Horns, either you punish, or you adopt among them what is good.”
Research verse 18:86 →
قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُۥ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ فَيُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا
He said, “As for whoever has done wrong, then we are indeed going to punish him; then he will be turned back to his Lord, and He will punish him with a punishment that is intensely repudiated.”
Research verse 18:87 →
وَأَمَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَلَهُۥ جَزَآءً ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًا
And as for whoever has believed and done what is sound, then for him is the recompense of the most excellent, and We will say to him, from Our command, [what is] ease.
Research verse 18:88 →
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا
Then he followed a means.
Research verse 18:89 →
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًا
Until, when he reached the rising-place of the sun, he found it rising upon a people for whom We had not made, apart from it, any covering.
Research verse 18:90 →
كَذَٰلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًا
In this way. And We had already encompassed what was with him, in knowledge.
Research verse 18:91 →
ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا
Then he followed a means.
Research verse 18:92 →
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا
Until, when he reached between the two barriers, he found, on the nearer side of them, a people who could hardly grasp any speech.
Research verse 18:93 →
قَالُوا۟ يَٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا
They said, “O Possessor of the Two Horns, indeed Yajuj and Majuj are agents of corruption in the land, so shall we assign for you an outgoing payment on condition that you set up between us and between them a barrier?”
Research verse 18:94 →
قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّى فِيهِ رَبِّى خَيْرٌ فَأَعِينُونِى بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا
He said, “What my Lord has established me in is better, so help me with strength: I will make between you and between them a filled-up barrier.”
Research verse 18:95 →
ءَاتُونِى زُبَرَ ٱلْحَدِيدِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ ٱلصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ ٱنفُخُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَعَلَهُۥ نَارًا قَالَ ءَاتُونِىٓ أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا
“Bring me blocks of iron.” Then, when he had made [it] level between the two sides, he said, “Blow!” until, when he had made it [like] a fire, he said, “Bring me [something] that I may pour over it molten qitr.”
Research verse 18:96 →
فَمَا ٱسْطَٰعُوٓا۟ أَن يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ لَهُۥ نَقْبًا
So they were not able to scale over it, nor were they able, with respect to it, to pierce through.
Research verse 18:97 →
قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحْمَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّى فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى جَعَلَهُۥ دَكَّآءَ وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى حَقًّا
He said, “This is a mercy from my Lord. But when my Lord’s appointment comes, He will make it crushed flat, and my Lord’s appointment has indeed been true.”
Research verse 18:98 →
وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَمُوجُ فِى بَعْضٍ وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَٰهُمْ جَمْعًا
And We left some of them that Day surging within others, and the Trumpet was blown, so We gathered them as a gathering.
Research verse 18:99 →
وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَرْضًا
And that Day We will lay bare Hell to the deniers in a full laying-bare.
Research verse 18:100 →
ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا
those whose eyes had been in a covering away from My remembrance, and they had not been able (to exercise) hearing.
Research verse 18:101 →
أَفَحَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَن يَتَّخِذُوا۟ عِبَادِى مِن دُونِىٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ نُزُلًا
So did those who covered [the truth] reckon that they could take My servants, apart from Me, as protectors? Indeed, We have made ready Hell as an initial hospitality for the deniers.
Research verse 18:102 →
قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَٰلًا
Say, “Shall We inform you about the ones in the greatest loss regarding deeds?”
Research verse 18:103 →
ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا
Those whose striving has gone astray in the lowly life, while they assume that they are doing excellent workmanship.
Research verse 18:104 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَزْنًا
Those are the ones who covered over the signs of their Lord and the meeting with Him, so their deeds were nullified; and We shall not set up for them, on the Day of Standing, any weight.
Research verse 18:105 →
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا
That is their recompense: Hell, because they covered over [the truth] and took My signs and My messengers as mockery.
Research verse 18:106 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتُ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا
Indeed, those who have attained trust/security and have done sound deeds — for them the gardens of al‑Firdaws are a first hospitality.
Research verse 18:107 →
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًا
Remaining therein, they will not seek any change away from it.
Research verse 18:108 →
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ ٱلْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّى لَنَفِدَ ٱلْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَٰتُ رَبِّى وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِۦ مَدَدًا
Say, “If the sea were an ink for the words of my Lord, the sea would run out before the words of my Lord run out, even if We came with another like it as an extension.”
Research verse 18:109 →
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدًۢا
Say, “I am only a human being like you; it is being revealed to me that your god is one God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him do a sound, wholesome deed, and let him not join anyone with his Lord in the devotion to Him.”
