يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِيمٌ
O people, be wary of your Lord; indeed, the shaking of the Hour is a tremendous thing.
Research verse 22:1 →
يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ
The Day you see it, every nursing female will be stunned away from what she has nursed, and every possessor of a burdened carrying will drop her burden, and you will see the people as if intoxicated, while they are not intoxicated; but the constraining repayment of Allah is intense.

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَٰنٍ مَّرِيدٍ
And among the people is one who argues concerning Allah without any knowledge and follows every defiant satan.
Research verse 22:3 →
كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
It has been prescribed for him that whoever turns to him, then he surely makes him go astray and guides him to the punishment of the Blaze.
Research verse 22:4 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْـًٔا وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ
O mankind, if you are in doubt about the re‑raising, then We have indeed created you from dust, then from a small drop, then from a clinging [substance], then from a chewed‑like lump, shaped and unshaped, so that We may make [this] clear to you. And We cause to remain in the wombs whatever We will, for a specified term; then We bring you out as an infant, then [We develop you] so that you reach your full strength. And among you is one who is taken in death, and among you is one who is returned to the most wretched age, so that he does not know, after [having had] knowledge, anything. And you see the earth still and lifeless; then when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells and brings forth from every delightful pair.
Research verse 22:5 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
That is because Allah—He is the Reality, and because He gives life to the dead, and because He is powerful over every thing.
Research verse 22:6 →
وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
And that the Hour is indeed coming—there is no doubt about it—and that Allah will raise up those who are in the graves.
Research verse 22:7 →
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِى ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَٰبٍ مُّنِيرٍ
And among the people is one who disputes concerning Allah without knowledge, nor guidance, nor an illuminating Book.
Research verse 22:8 →
ثَانِىَ عِطْفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
Turning aside his side, to lead [others] astray from the path of Allah. For him, in the nearest life, is disgrace, and We will make him taste, on the Day of Standing, the punishment of the burning.
Research verse 22:9 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
That is because of what your two hands have put forward, and [because] Allah is not one who greatly wrongs the servants.
Research verse 22:10 →
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُۥ خَيْرٌ ٱطْمَأَنَّ بِهِۦ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْخُسْرَانُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
And among the people is one who serves Allah upon an edge: so if good reaches him, he is reassured by it; but if a trial reaches him, he turns back on his face. He has lost the nearer life and the later one; that is the evident loss.
Research verse 22:11 →
يَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا يَنفَعُهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ
He calls, apart from Allah, upon what does not harm him and what does not benefit him. That is the far‑reaching straying.
Research verse 22:12 →
يَدْعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ
He calls upon one whose harm is nearer than his benefit. How miserable a guardian, and how miserable a close companion.
Research verse 22:13 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ
Indeed, Allah will cause those who have trusted (in Him) and done sound deeds to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does whatever He intends.
Research verse 22:14 →
مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ
Whoever has been thinking that Allah will never help him in this world and the Hereafter, then let him stretch out by a means up to the sky, then let him cut off, and let him look: does his plotting take away what enrages (him)?
Research verse 22:15 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يُرِيدُ
And thus We have sent it down as evident signs, and [so that] Allah guides whoever He wills.
Research verse 22:16 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
Indeed, those who have trusted, and those who have become Jews, and the Ṣābi’īn, and the Christians, and the Magians, and those who have joined [others] as partners — indeed, Allah will separate between them on the Day of Standing. Indeed, Allah is, over every thing, a Witness.
Research verse 22:17 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَمَن يُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ
Have you not seen that Allah—to Him submits in lowliness whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the moving creatures, and many of the people? And upon many the requital has become established. And whomever Allah abases—then he has no one to grant him honor. Indeed, Allah does whatever He wills.
Research verse 22:18 →
هَٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِّن نَّارٍ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ
These two are opponents who have contended concerning their Lord; so those who covered [the truth]—garments of fire have been cut up for them, scalding water is poured from above their heads.
Research verse 22:19 →
يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ
By it is smelted what is in their bellies, and [also] the skins.
Research verse 22:20 →
وَلَهُم مَّقَٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ
And for them are instruments of suppression made of iron.
Research verse 22:21 →
كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
Every time they intend to get out of it, [driven] by some distress, they are made to be returned into it, and: “Taste the punishment of the burning.”
Research verse 22:22 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ
Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done the sound/wholesome deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and with pearl, and their clothing therein will be silk.
Research verse 22:23 →
وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلطَّيِّبِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
And they will be guided to the goodly of speech, and they will be guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
Research verse 22:24 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلْنَٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَآءً ٱلْعَٰكِفُ فِيهِ وَٱلْبَادِ وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ بِظُلْمٍ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
Indeed, those who have covered [the truth] and who block from the path of God and from the Restricted Mosque, which We have made for the people—equally [for] the one devotedly staying there and the desert-dweller—and whoever intends in it a deviation, in wrongdoing, We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
Research verse 22:25 →
وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَكَانَ ٱلْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِى شَيْـًٔا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّآئِفِينَ وَٱلْقَآئِمِينَ وَٱلرُّكَّعِ ٱلسُّجُودِ
And when We settled for Abraham the location of the House: “Do not join anything with Me, and purify My House for those who go around, and those who stand, and those who bow, those who prostrate.”
Research verse 22:26 →
وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ
And announce among the people the *ḥajj*: they will come to you on foot and upon every lean mount, coming from every deep mountain-pass.
Research verse 22:27 →
لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟ مَنَٰفِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ مَّعْلُومَٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْبَآئِسَ ٱلْفَقِيرَ
So that they may witness benefits for themselves, and mention the name of Allah during known days over what He has provided them from the cattle-beasts of the livestock. Then eat from them, and feed the distressed, the poor.
Research verse 22:28 →
ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ
Then let them bring to completion their coarse state, and let them fulfill their vows, and let them go around the Ancient House.
Research verse 22:29 →
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلرِّجْسَ مِنَ ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَ ٱلزُّورِ
That is so. And whoever magnifies the inviolable things of Allah, then it is better for him with his Lord. And the livestock animals have been made lawful for you, except what is recited to you; so keep away from the filth that is from the idols, and keep away from the speech of falsehood.
Research verse 22:30 →
حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ
As ones devoting yourselves exclusively to Allah, not joining [anything] with Him. And whoever joins [anything] with Allah, then it is as though he had fallen down from the sky, so the birds snatch him away, or the wind hurls him down into a far‑distant place.
Research verse 22:31 →
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ
That is so; and whoever magnifies the *shaʿāʾir* of Allah, then indeed it is (a sign) from the God-consciousness of hearts.
Research verse 22:32 →
لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَآ إِلَى ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ
For you, in them, are benefits until a specified term; then their point of release is to the Ancient House.
Research verse 22:33 →
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا لِّيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ فَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَلَهُۥٓ أَسْلِمُوا۟ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُخْبِتِينَ
And for every community We have appointed a devotional rite, so that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided them of the cattle-beasts of the livestock. So your god is one God; therefore, yield yourselves to Him. And give good tidings to those who are humble and yielding.
Research verse 22:34 →
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ وَٱلْمُقِيمِى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
Those who, whenever Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble; and those who endure what has struck them; and those who establish the prayer; and from what We have provided them, they spend.
Research verse 22:35 →
وَٱلْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَٰهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَٰٓئِرِ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَآفَّ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْقَانِعَ وَٱلْمُعْتَرَّ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَٰهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
And the sacrificial bodies We have made for you as part of the *shaʿāʾir* of Allah; for you in them is good. So mention the name of Allah over them while they are standing in rows; then when their sides have fallen, eat from them and feed the contented one and the one who comes asking. Thus We have subjected them to you so that you may be grateful.
Research verse 22:36 →
لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Their meats will never reach Allah, nor their bloods; but what reaches Him from you is the conscientious wariness. Thus He has subjected them to you so that you may magnify Allah for what He has guided you to, and proclaim good news to the doers of good.
Research verse 22:37 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ
Indeed, Allah repels on behalf of those who have believed; indeed, Allah does not love any excessively treacherous, intensely ungrateful one.
Research verse 22:38 →
أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا۟ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ
Permission has been granted to those against whom fighting is conducted, because they have been wronged; and indeed Allah is surely capable of giving them victory.
Research verse 22:39 →
ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَٰمِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَٰتٌ وَمَسَٰجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًا وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ
Those who were driven out from their dwellings without any right, only because they say, “Our Lord is Allah.” And were it not for Allah’s repelling of people, some by means of others, cloisters, and houses of devotion, and acts of prayer, and places of prostration in which the name of Allah is mentioned abundantly would certainly have been torn down. And Allah will indeed grant victory to whoever grants Him victory; indeed, Allah is surely Strong, Mighty.
Research verse 22:40 →
ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ
Those who, if We establish them firmly in the land, maintain the prayer, and give the zakah, and command what is recognized [as right], and forbid what is disapproved [as wrong]. And to Allah belongs the outcome of all matters.
Research verse 22:41 →
وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ
And if they deny you, then already, before them, the people of Noah, and ‘Ād, and Thamūd denied.
Research verse 22:42 →
وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ
And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot,
Research verse 22:43 →
وَأَصْحَٰبُ مَدْيَنَ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
And the companions of Madyan, and Moses was [also] denied; so I granted the deniers respite, then I seized them—so how was My disowning?
Research verse 22:44 →
فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِىَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَّشِيدٍ
So how many a town We destroyed while it was doing wrong, and it is (now) collapsed upon its roofs, and (likewise) a well left unused, and a fortified structure well-built.
Research verse 22:45 →
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَآ أَوْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَلَٰكِن تَعْمَى ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٱلَّتِى فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
So have they not journeyed through the land, such that there would be for them hearts by which they use reason, or ears by which they hear? For it is not the sights that go blind, but the hearts that go blind — those which are within the chests.
Research verse 22:46 →
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
And they seek to hasten you for the corrective suffering, but Allah will not break His appointment. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.
Research verse 22:47 →
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
And how many a town I granted respite to while it was wrongdoing; then I seized it, and to Me is the destination.
Research verse 22:48 →
قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Say, “O people, I am only a manifest warner for you.”
Research verse 22:49 →
فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
So those who have attained trust and done sound deeds—for them is a covering-over and a generous provision.
Research verse 22:50 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ سَعَوْا۟ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مُعَٰجِزِينَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
And those who strive in regard to Our signs, thinking to make [Us] incapable – those are the companions of the Blaze.
Research verse 22:51 →
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ وَلَا نَبِىٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰٓ أَلْقَى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فِىٓ أُمْنِيَّتِهِۦ فَيَنسَخُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
And We did not send before you any messenger or any prophet except that, when he desired, the satan cast into his desire; then Allah effaces what the satan casts, then Allah makes His signs firm. And Allah is All‑Knowing, All‑Wise.
Research verse 22:52 →
لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَٱلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
so that He may make what Satan casts a test for those in whose hearts is sickness, and for those whose hearts are hardened; and indeed, the darkeners (wrongdoers) are surely in far‑reaching rupture.
Research verse 22:53 →
وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُۥ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
And so that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, then they trust in it, and so their hearts become lowly and yielding to it. And indeed Allah is surely One who guides those who have believed to a straight path.
Research verse 22:54 →
وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ
And those who have covered [the truth] will not cease to be in contention about it until the Hour comes upon them suddenly, or the punishment of a barren day comes upon them.
Research verse 22:55 →
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
The dominion, on that Day, belongs to Allah; He will judge between them. So those who trusted and did sound deeds will be in gardens of delight.
Research verse 22:56 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
And those who have covered over [the truth] and denied Our signs – those, for them is a degrading punishment.
Research verse 22:57 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوٓا۟ أَوْ مَاتُوا۟ لَيَرْزُقَنَّهُمُ ٱللَّهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
And those who migrated in Allah’s path, then were killed or died – Allah will most surely provide for them a good provision, and indeed Allah – He is the best of providers.
Research verse 22:58 →
لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُم مُّدْخَلًا يَرْضَوْنَهُۥ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ
He will surely cause them to enter an entry that they are pleased with, and indeed Allah is All-Knowing, Forbearing.
Research verse 22:59 →
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمَّ بُغِىَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنصُرَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ
That, and whoever requites with the like of what he was requited with, then aggression is committed against him—Allah will surely grant him support. Indeed, Allah is surely Ever-Pardoning, Ever-Forgiving.
Research verse 22:60 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ
That is because Allah interweaves the night into the day and interweaves the day into the night, and because Allah is All‑Hearing, All‑Seeing.
Research verse 22:61 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ هُوَ ٱلْبَٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ
That is because Allah—He is the Reality, and because what they call upon apart from Him, it is the nullity; and because Allah—He is the Exalted, the Great.
Research verse 22:62 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَتُصْبِحُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ
Have you not seen that Allah sends down water from the sky, and then the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Gentle, All‑Aware.
Research verse 22:63 →
لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and indeed Allah—He is the Self‑sufficient, the Praiseworthy.
Research verse 22:64 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْفُلْكَ تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَيُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَآءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Have you not seen that Allah has subjected to you whatever is in the earth, and the ships that run in the sea by His command, and He holds back the sky so that it does not fall upon the earth except by His leave? Indeed, Allah is certainly most gentle and most merciful towards people.
Research verse 22:65 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌ
And He is the One who enlivened you, then He makes you die, then He will enliven you. Indeed, the human being is surely very much a concealer (of blessing).
Research verse 22:66 →
لِّكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ فَلَا يُنَٰزِعُنَّكَ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
For every community We have made a devotional practice which they are devotedly performing; so let them not contend with you concerning the matter, and call [them] to your Lord—indeed, you are surely upon straight guidance.
Research verse 22:67 →
وَإِن جَٰدَلُوكَ فَقُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
And if they argue with you, then say, “Allah is most knowing of what you do.”
Research verse 22:68 →
ٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
Allah will decide between you on the Day of Standing‑up (Resurrection) concerning that in which you used to differ.
Research verse 22:69 →
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِى كِتَٰبٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ
Have you not known that Allah knows whatever is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed, that is in a written register; indeed, that is, upon Allah, effortless.
Research verse 22:70 →
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ
And they serve, apart from Allah, what He has not sent down any authority for, and that of which they have no knowledge. And there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.
Research verse 22:71 →
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلْمُنكَرَ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَعَدَهَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
And when Our signs are recited to them as clear [ones], you recognize in the faces of those who have covered [the truth] the disapproved [reaction]; they almost launch a violent attack against those who recite Our signs to them. Say, “Shall I then inform you of something worse than that? The Fire: Allah has promised it to those who have covered [the truth], and wretched is the outcome.”
Research verse 22:72 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟ لَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا۟ ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ ٱلذُّبَابُ شَيْـًٔا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ ٱلطَّالِبُ وَٱلْمَطْلُوبُ
O people, a likeness has been struck, so listen to it: indeed, those whom you call upon apart from Allah will never create a fly, even if they were to gather together for it; and if the fly should snatch away from them anything, they would not recover it from it. Feeble is the seeker and the sought.
Research verse 22:73 →
مَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَقَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌ
They have not gauged Allah with the true gauging; indeed, Allah is surely strong, overpowering.
Research verse 22:74 →
ٱللَّهُ يَصْطَفِى مِنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ
Allah selects from the angels [as] envoys, and from the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
Research verse 22:75 →
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ
He knows what is between their hands and what is behind them, and to Allah all affairs are returned.
Research verse 22:76 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O you who have attained faith, bow, and prostrate, and serve your Lord, and do the good, so that you may attain success.
Research verse 22:77 →
وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦ هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ
And strive, regarding Allah, with the striving truly due to Him. He has selected you, and He has not placed upon you, in the judgment‑way, any constraint — the creed of your father Abraham. He is the one who has named you “those who submit” before and in this, so that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and you may be witnesses over the people. So uphold the prayer, and give the purifying‑due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your protecting‑ally — and how excellent is the protecting‑ally, and how excellent the helper.
Research verse 22:78 →
