الٓر تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the signs of the wise Writing.
Research verse 10:1 →
أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Has it been a cause of astonishment for the people that We have communicated to a man from among them: “Warn the people and give good news to those who have attained faith that they have a true, firmly‑preceding standing with their Lord”? The deniers said, “Indeed, this is a clear exposer.”
Research verse 10:2 →
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِۦ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then rose over the Throne, administering the command. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so serve Him. Will you then not remember?
Research verse 10:3 →
إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّا إِنَّهُۥ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
To Him is your place of return, all together — the promise of Allah, truly. Indeed, He initiates the creation, then brings it back, so that He may recompense those who have trusted and done sound deeds with equity; and as for those who have covered [the truth], for them is a drink from boiling heat and a painful punishment for how they used to cover [the truth].
Research verse 10:4 →
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَٱلْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
He is the One who made the sun radiance and the moon light, and He measured out for it stages so that you may know the number of the years and the calculation. Allah did not create that except with truth. He sets out the signs in detail for a people who know.
Research verse 10:5 →
إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in whatever Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, there are surely signs for a people who are mindful (of Him).
Research verse 10:6 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟ بِهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا غَٰفِلُونَ
Indeed, those who do not look forward to meeting Us, and are content with the lowly life and have settled down with it, and those who, concerning Our signs, are heedless—
Research verse 10:7 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
Those — their shelter is the Fire because of what they used to acquire.
Research verse 10:8 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمْ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Indeed, those who have trusted and done sound deeds – their Lord guides them by their trust; rivers flow beneath them, within gardens of delight.
Research verse 10:9 →
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Their call therein is, “Glory be to You, O Allah,” and their greeting therein is “Peace.” And the last of their call is, “Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”
Research verse 10:10 →
وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم بِٱلْخَيْرِ لَقُضِىَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
And were Allah to hasten for the people the evil, as their own hastening with the good, their term would indeed have been concluded to them. So We leave those who do not anticipate meeting Us, in their overstepping, wandering blindly.
Research verse 10:11 →
وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَآئِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
And when harm touches the human, he calls upon Us, lying on his side or sitting or standing; then when We uncover his harm from him, he passes on as though he had never called upon Us regarding a harm that had touched him. Thus is made fair‑seeming to the extravagant what they have been doing.
Research verse 10:12 →
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
And indeed We destroyed the generations before you when they wronged, while their messengers had come to them with the clear evidences, but they were never going to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.
Research verse 10:13 →
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
Then We made you successors in the land after them, so that We may observe how you act.
Research verse 10:14 →
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئْتِ بِقُرْءَانٍ غَيْرِ هَٰذَآ أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلْقَآئِ نَفْسِىٓ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
And when Our signs are recited to them as clear [ones], those who do not hope for meeting Us say, “Bring a proclamation other than this, or alter it.” Say, “It is not for me to alter it on my own self-initiative; I follow nothing but what is inspired to me. Indeed, I fear—if I disobey my Lord—the retribution of a tremendous Day.”
Research verse 10:15 →
قُل لَّوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَدْرَىٰكُم بِهِۦ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُرًا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦٓ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
Say, “If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made you perceive it. For I have remained among you a lifetime before it; will you then not use your reason?”
Research verse 10:16 →
فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
So who is more darkly unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals do not attain success.
Research verse 10:17 →
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
And they serve, apart from Allah, what can neither harm them nor benefit them, and they say, “These are our intercessors with Allah.” Say, “Are you informing Allah of what He does not know in the heavens or in the earth? Glory be to Him, and He is exalted above what they join with Him.”
Research verse 10:18 →
وَمَا كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً فَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
And humanity was nothing but a single community, then they came to differ. And were it not for a word that had already gone ahead from your Lord, it would have been decided between them regarding that in which they differ.
Research verse 10:19 →
وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
And they say, “Why has a sign not been sent down upon him from his Lord?” So say, “The hidden (realm) belongs only to God; so wait—indeed, I am with you among those who are waiting.”
Research verse 10:20 →
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةً مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكْرٌ فِىٓ ءَايَاتِنَا قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ
And when We make the people taste a mercy after hardship has touched them, then—there and then—they have a scheme concerning Our signs. Say, “God is swifter in scheming. Indeed, Our envoys are writing down what you scheme.”
Research verse 10:21 →
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا جَآءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
He is the One who sets you in motion on the land and the sea, until, when you are in the ships and they move along with them by a pleasant wind and they rejoice in it, there comes upon it a raging wind, and the wave comes upon them from every place, and they are convinced that they have been encompassed. They call upon Allah, devoting the judgment to Him alone: “If You rescue us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.”
Research verse 10:22 →
فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُم مَّتَٰعَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
But when He has saved them, there they are, transgressing on the earth without the truth. O people, your transgression is only against your own selves—[it is but] an enjoyment of the lowly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you had been doing.
Research verse 10:23 →
إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَٱزَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَآ أَنَّهُمْ قَٰدِرُونَ عَلَيْهَآ أَتَىٰهَآ أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا حَصِيدًا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِٱلْأَمْسِ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
The likeness of the nearer life is only like water which We have sent down from the sky, then with it the growth of the earth became mixed, from that which people and livestock eat, until when the earth has taken on its ornament and has adorned itself, and its folk have supposed that they are ones empowered over it, Our command came to it by night or by day, and We made it a reaped field, as if it had not dwelt there yesterday. Thus We distinguish the signs for a people who reflect.
Research verse 10:24 →
وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
And Allah calls to the abode of soundness, and He guides whoever wills to a straight path.
Research verse 10:25 →
لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَزِيَادَةٌ وَلَا يَرْهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمْ قَتَرٌ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
For those who have done good is the finest, and an increase; and no gloom will press upon their faces, nor lowness. Those are the companions of the Garden; they are in it everlasting.
Research verse 10:26 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَسَبُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةٍۭ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مُظْلِمًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
And those who have earned the bad deeds – a repayment of a bad deed is [only] its like, and abasement will overtake them; they have, from Allah, no protector. It is as though their faces had been covered with patches of the night, darkened. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will remain therein.
Research verse 10:27 →
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَقَالَ شُرَكَآؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ
And [remember] the Day We gather them all together; then We will say to those who joined [others with Us], “Stay in your place, you and your associates.” Then We will separate between them, and their associates will say, “You were not worshipping us.”
Research verse 10:28 →
فَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَ
So Allah is enough as a witness between us and you: we were indeed, regarding your worship, surely unaware.
Research verse 10:29 →
هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُوا۟ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّآ أَسْلَفَتْ وَرُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
Thereupon every soul will experience what it has sent on ahead, and they will be returned to Allah, their true Patron, and lost from them will be whatever they used to fabricate.
Research verse 10:30 →
قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَمَّن يَمْلِكُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَمَن يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَمَن يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ فَسَيَقُولُونَ ٱللَّهُ فَقُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Say, “Who provides for you from the sky and the earth, or who possesses the hearing and the sights, and who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living, and who manages the affair?” They will say, “Allah.” So say, “Will you then not shield yourselves?”
Research verse 10:31 →
فَذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَٰلُ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ
So that is Allah, your Lord, the True One. Then what is there after the True One except sinking‑astray? So how are you turned away?
Research verse 10:32 →
كَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Thus the word of your Lord became binding upon those who broke away, that they will not trust (in Him).
Research verse 10:33 →
قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
Say, “Is there, among your join-partners, anyone who initiates the creation and then brings it back?” Say, “Allah initiates the creation, then brings it back, so how are you turned away?”
Research verse 10:34 →
قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى لِلْحَقِّ أَفَمَن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَن يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لَّا يَهِدِّىٓ إِلَّآ أَن يُهْدَىٰ فَمَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
Say, “Is there, among your joiners, anyone who guides to the truth?” Say, “Allah guides to the truth. So is one who guides to the truth more entitled to be followed, or one who does not find guidance except that he is guided? What is [wrong] with you—how do you judge?”
Research verse 10:35 →
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
And most of them follow nothing but conjecture; and indeed conjecture does not suffice in place of the truth in any way. Indeed, Allah is All‑Knowing of what they do.
Research verse 10:36 →
وَمَا كَانَ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ أَن يُفْتَرَىٰ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And this Qur’an was not to be fabricated apart from Allah; rather, it is a confirmation of what is between its hands, and an articulation in detail of the Book—there is no doubt about it—from the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 10:37 →
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِسُورَةٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Or do they say, “He has fabricated it”? Say, “Then bring a surah like it, and call whomever you are able, apart from Allah, if you are truthful.”
Research verse 10:38 →
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُوا۟ بِعِلْمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِهِمْ تَأْوِيلُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
No, they have denied what they have not encompassed in knowledge, while its outcome has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny; so look how was the end of the wrongdoers.
Research verse 10:39 →
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
And among them is one who trusts in it, and among them is one who does not trust in it; and your Lord is most knowing of those who cause ruin.
Research verse 10:40 →
وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّى عَمَلِى وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
And if they deny you, then say, “For me is my work, and for you is your work. You are clear of what I do, and I am clear of what you do.”
Research verse 10:41 →
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
And among them is one who listens attentively to you. So will you make the deaf hear, even if they are not using reason?
Research verse 10:42 →
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيْكَ أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
And among them is one who looks toward you. So will you guide the blind, even though they do not perceive?
Research verse 10:43 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ ٱلنَّاسَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people in anything at all, but it is the people who wrong their own selves.
Research verse 10:44 →
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَن لَّمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِينَ
And on the Day He gathers them, it will be as though they had not stayed except for an hour of the daytime, mutually recognizing one another between themselves. Indeed, they have lost—those who denied the meeting with Allah—and they had not been guided.
Research verse 10:45 →
وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ ٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ
And whether We indeed show you some of what We promise them, or We indeed take you fully (in death), then to Us is their return; then Allah is a Witness over what they do.
Research verse 10:46 →
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولٌ فَإِذَا جَآءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
And for every community there is a messenger; then when their messenger comes, judgment is concluded between them with equity, and they are not wronged.
Research verse 10:47 →
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
And they say, “When is this appointment, if you are truthful?”
Research verse 10:48 →
قُل لَّآ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِى ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Say, “I do not control for myself harm or benefit, except what Allah wills. For every community there is a term; when their term comes, they can neither delay it by an instant nor advance it.”
Research verse 10:49 →
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُهُۥ بَيَٰتًا أَوْ نَهَارًا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
Say, “Have you considered: if His corrective suffering comes upon you by night or by day, what is it that the criminals are hastening for from it?”
Research verse 10:50 →
أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦٓ ءَآلْـَٰٔنَ وَقَدْ كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Is it then, when it has fallen upon you, that you will believe in it? “Now? Yet you had been hastening it on.”
Research verse 10:51 →
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْخُلْدِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
Then it was said to those who did wrong, “Taste the torment of abiding (duration); are you recompensed for anything except what you used to earn?”
Research verse 10:52 →
وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ قُلْ إِى وَرَبِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
And they seek a decisive pronouncement from you: “Is it truly so?” Say, “Yes, by my Lord, indeed it is surely true, and you are not ones who can render [Him] incapable.”
Research verse 10:53 →
وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفْسٍ ظَلَمَتْ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لَٱفْتَدَتْ بِهِۦ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
And if every soul that had done wrong possessed whatever is in the earth, it would surely ransom itself with it; and they conceal the regret when they see the punishment, and judgment is concluded between them with equity, and they are not wronged.
Research verse 10:54 →
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Behold! Indeed, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Behold! Indeed, the promise of Allah is a reality, but most of them do not know.
Research verse 10:55 →
هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
He is the One who gives life and causes death, and to Him you are returned.
Research verse 10:56 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O people, there has certainly come to you an admonition from your Lord, and a healing for what is in the chests, and a guidance and a mercy for the believers.
Research verse 10:57 →
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Say, “By the bounty of Allah and by His mercy, then by that let them rejoice; it is better than what they gather.”
Research verse 10:58 →
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ فَجَعَلْتُم مِّنْهُ حَرَامًا وَحَلَٰلًا قُلْ ءَآللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمْ أَمْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَفْتَرُونَ
Say, “Have you considered what Allah has sent down for you of provision, and you have made some of it forbidden and [some] permitted?” Say, “Is it Allah who has given you leave, or is it against Allah that you are fabricating?”
Research verse 10:59 →
وَمَا ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
And what expectation do those who fabricate the lie against Allah have for the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allah is surely possessor of bounty toward the people, but most of them do not show gratitude.
Research verse 10:60 →
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِى شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُوا۟ مِنْهُ مِن قُرْءَانٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ
And you are not in any concern, nor do you recite from it anything of a Qur’an, and you do not do any deed, but that We are, over you, witnesses as you pour yourselves forth in it. And nothing escapes your Lord — [not even] the weight of a speck in the earth nor in the sky, nor anything smaller than that nor greater, but that it is in a clear Book, making [it] evident.
Research verse 10:61 →
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
No indeed! Surely, the allies of Allah—no fear is upon them, nor do they grieve.
Research verse 10:62 →
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ
those who have attained faith and used to be mindful (of Him)
Research verse 10:63 →
لَهُمُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
For them is the glad announcement in the lowly life and in the later one. There is no altering of the words of Allah. That is the tremendous success.
Research verse 10:64 →
وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And do not let their saying grieve you. Indeed, the might belongs to Allah entirely; He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Research verse 10:65 →
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
Behold! Indeed, to Allah belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth. And what those who call upon, apart from Allah, follow as joined-associates is nothing: they follow nothing but conjecture, and they are nothing but ones who conjecture (by guesswork).
Research verse 10:66 →
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
He is the One who made the night for you so that you may become still in it, and the day as one that enables seeing. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who listen.
Research verse 10:67 →
قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بِهَٰذَآ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
They say, “Allah has taken a child.” Far above is He! He is the Self‑sufficient; to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority regarding this—do you say about Allah what you do not know?
Research verse 10:68 →
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ
Say, “Indeed, those who fabricate the lie against Allah do not attain success.”
Research verse 10:69 →
مَتَٰعٌ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
An enjoyment in the nearest life; then to Us is their return; then We make them taste the intense correction for how they had been covering [the truth].
Research verse 10:70 →
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُم مَّقَامِى وَتَذْكِيرِى بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ ٱقْضُوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ وَلَا تُنظِرُونِ
And recite to them the account of Noah, when he said to his people, “My people, if my standing and my reminding you of the signs of Allah has become great upon you, then upon Allah I have relied. So gather your affair and your partners, then let your affair not be obscure to you; then carry it out against me and do not grant me delay.”
Research verse 10:71 →
فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
So if you turn away, then I have not asked you for any compensation; my compensation is only upon God, and I have been commanded to be among those who submit.
Research verse 10:72 →
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
So they denied him, and We delivered him and whoever was with him in the vessel, and We made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. So look how was the outcome of those who had been warned.
Research verse 10:73 →
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
Then, after him, We raised up messengers to their people; they came to them with the clear evidences, but they were never going to trust in what they had already denied before. Thus do We stamp upon the hearts of those who overstep the limits.
Research verse 10:74 →
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ
Then, after them, We raised up Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our signs, but they acted arrogantly, and they were a criminal people.
Research verse 10:75 →
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Then when the truth came to them from Us, they said, “Indeed, this is a manifest sorcery.”
Research verse 10:76 →
قَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَتَقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَكُمْ أَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّٰحِرُونَ
Moses said, “Do you say to the truth, when it has come to you, ‘Is this sorcery?’ while the sorcerers do not succeed.”
Research verse 10:77 →
قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
They said, “Have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our fathers upon, and so that greatness in the land might belong to you two? Yet we are not ones who trust in you two.”
Research verse 10:78 →
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ٱئْتُونِى بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ
And Pharaoh said, “Bring to me every knowledgeable magician.”
Research verse 10:79 →
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, “Throw whatever you are going to throw.”
Research verse 10:80 →
فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
So when they threw, Moses said, “What you have come with is sorcery; Allah will indeed make it cease to function. Indeed, Allah does not set right the work of the corrupters.”
Research verse 10:81 →
وَيُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
And Allah makes the truth prevail by His words, even if the criminals dislike it.
Research verse 10:82 →
فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
So none trusted in Moses except an offspring from his people, while in fear of Pharaoh and their elite, that he might put them to a trial; and indeed Pharaoh was exalted in the land, and indeed he was surely among the extravagant.
Research verse 10:83 →
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَٰقَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَ
And Moses said, “My people, if you have attained faith in Allah, then upon Him place your reliance, if you are ones who have submitted.”
Research verse 10:84 →
فَقَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
So they said, “Upon Allah we have relied. Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people,
Research verse 10:85 →
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And deliver us, by Your mercy, from the people who cover [the truth].
Research verse 10:86 →
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَٱجْعَلُوا۟ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And We inspired to Moses and his brother: “Take up dwellings for your people in Misr, as houses, and make your houses a focal point, and establish the prayer, and give glad tidings to the believers.”
Research verse 10:87 →
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ ءَاتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُۥ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَٰلًا فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِكَ رَبَّنَا ٱطْمِسْ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَٱشْدُدْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
And Moses said, “Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his chiefs adornment and wealth in the lowly life of this world. Our Lord, so that they may cause [people] to stray from Your path. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and tighten upon their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the painful punishment.”
Research verse 10:88 →
قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا فَٱسْتَقِيمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعَآنِّ سَبِيلَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
He said, “The call of you two has indeed been responded to, so stand firm, and do not, certainly not, follow the path of those who do not know.”
Research verse 10:89 →
وَجَٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ بَغْيًا وَعَدْوًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَدْرَكَهُ ٱلْغَرَقُ قَالَ ءَامَنتُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَتْ بِهِۦ بَنُوٓا۟ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
And We carried the Children of Israel across the sea, so Pharaoh and his forces followed them, in seeking (them) and transgressing, until, when drowning overtook him, he said, “I have trusted that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel have trusted, and I am among those who have surrendered.”
Research verse 10:90 →
ءَآلْـَٰٔنَ وَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ قَبْلُ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
“Now? While you had defied before, and you had been among the corrupters.”
Research verse 10:91 →
فَٱلْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ ءَايَةً وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا لَغَٰفِلُونَ
So today We will rescue you with your body, so that you may be a sign for whoever comes after you. Yet indeed, many among the people are surely heedless of Our signs.
Research verse 10:92 →
وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٍ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
And indeed We settled the Children of Israel in a settlement of truth, and We provided them with good things; then they did not differ until knowledge came to them. Indeed, your Lord will decide between them on the Day of Standing regarding that in which they had been differing.
Research verse 10:93 →
فَإِن كُنتَ فِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ فَسْـَٔلِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكَ لَقَدْ جَآءَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
So if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, then ask those who read the Book before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.
Research verse 10:94 →
وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
And do not ever be among those who have denied the signs of God, lest you become among the losers.
Research verse 10:95 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Indeed, those upon whom the decree of your Lord has become binding will not believe,
Research verse 10:96 →
وَلَوْ جَآءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
even if every sign were to come to them, until they see the painful punishment.
Research verse 10:97 →
فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
So why was there not a single town that secured [itself by] trusting, and thus its trust benefited it—except the people of Jonah? When they trusted, We lifted from them the punishment of disgrace in the lowly life, and We let them enjoy [life] for a while.
Research verse 10:98 →
وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَـَٔامَنَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعًا أَفَأَنتَ تُكْرِهُ ٱلنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
And had your Lord willed, everyone who is on the earth—all of them together—would certainly have attained faith. So will you then compel the people until they become believers?
Research verse 10:99 →
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
And no self has ever been such as to trust (in security) except by God’s leave; and He assigns the impurity upon those who do not use their reason.
Research verse 10:100 →
قُلِ ٱنظُرُوا۟ مَاذَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُغْنِى ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Say, “Look at what is in the heavens and the earth; yet the signs and the warnings do not suffice against a people who do not believe.”
Research verse 10:101 →
فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قُلْ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
So are they waiting for anything except days like those of the ones who passed away before them? Say, then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who are waiting.
Research verse 10:102 →
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Then We deliver Our messengers and those who have believed; thus, as a truth binding upon Us, We deliver the believers.
Research verse 10:103 →
قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Say, “O people, if you are in doubt about my way of life, then I do not serve those whom you serve apart from Allah; rather, I serve Allah, the One who fully takes you (to Himself), and I have been commanded to be among the believers.”
Research verse 10:104 →
وَأَنْ أَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
And that you set your face steadily toward the judgment-system as a hanīf, and do not ever be among those who join (others).
Research verse 10:105 →
وَلَا تَدْعُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ فَإِن فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِّنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And do not call, apart from Allah, upon what does not benefit you and does not harm you; for if you do so, then you would, at that point, be among the wrongdoers.
Research verse 10:106 →
وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And if Allah touches you with harm, then there is no uncoverer of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no turner-back of His bounty. He lets it reach with it whom He wills among His servants, and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Research verse 10:107 →
قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ
Say, “O people, the truth has indeed come to you from your Lord. So whoever is guided is only guided for his own self, and whoever sinks astray only sinks against it. And I am not a trustee set over you.”
Research verse 10:108 →
وَٱتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَٱصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
And follow what is conveyed to you, and endure until Allah decides; and He is the best of those who decide with wisdom.
Research verse 10:109 →
