يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْأَنفَالِ قُلِ ٱلْأَنفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا۟ ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
They ask you about the extra gains. Say, “The extra gains belong to Allah and the Messenger.” So be wary of Allah, and set right what is between you, and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you are believers.
Research verse 8:1 →
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَٰنًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His signs are recited to them, it increases them in faith, and upon their Lord they rely.
Research verse 8:2 →
ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
Those who uphold the prayer, and out of what We have provided them they spend.
Research verse 8:3 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا لَّهُمْ دَرَجَٰتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
Those – they are the believers in truth. For them are ranks with their Lord, and forgiveness, and a generous provision.
Research verse 8:4 →
كَمَآ أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَيْتِكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَٰرِهُونَ
Just as your Lord brought you out from your house with the truth, while indeed a group from among the believers were surely averse.
Research verse 8:5 →
يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ فِى ٱلْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
They dispute with you concerning the truth, after it has become clear, as though they are being driven toward death while they are looking on.

وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِحْدَى ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ ٱلشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And when Allah was promising you one of the two groups that it would be yours, while you were wishing that the one other than the possessor of sharp power would be yours; but Allah intended to make the truth real by His words and to cut off the rear of the deniers.
Research verse 8:7 →
لِيُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ ٱلْبَٰطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
so that He may make the truth prevail and nullify the falsehood, even if the criminals dislike it.
Research verse 8:8 →
إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّى مُمِدُّكُم بِأَلْفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ
When you were urgently calling upon your Lord for rescue, then He responded to you: “I am indeed one who extends support to you with a thousand from the angels, following in succession.”
Research verse 8:9 →
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِهِۦ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
And Allah did not make it except as a glad announcement, and so that your hearts might be at rest through it; and there is no support [in battle] except from Allah. Indeed, Allah is overpoweringly strong, all‑wise in judgment.
Research verse 8:10 →
إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ ٱلنُّعَاسَ أَمَنَةً مِّنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً لِّيُطَهِّرَكُم بِهِۦ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمْ رِجْزَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ ٱلْأَقْدَامَ
When He was covering you with drowsiness as a security from Him, and sending down upon you, from the sky, water to purify you with it, and to take away from you the affliction of the satan, and to bind firmly upon your hearts, and to make the feet firm by it.
Research verse 8:11 →
إِذْ يُوحِى رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَنِّى مَعَكُمْ فَثَبِّتُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ سَأُلْقِى فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلرُّعْبَ فَٱضْرِبُوا۟ فَوْقَ ٱلْأَعْنَاقِ وَٱضْرِبُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ
When your Lord was inspiring to the angels: “I am with you, so make firm those who have believed. I will soon cast dread into the hearts of those who have covered [the truth]; so strike above the necks, and strike from them every fingertip.”
Research verse 8:12 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَآقُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
That is because they split away from Allah and His messenger; and whoever splits away from Allah and His messenger, then indeed Allah is severe in the consequence.
Research verse 8:13 →
ذَٰلِكُمْ فَذُوقُوهُ وَأَنَّ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
That is yours, so taste it; and that for the concealers (of truth) is the punishment of the Fire.
Research verse 8:14 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ زَحْفًا فَلَا تُوَلُّوهُمُ ٱلْأَدْبَارَ
O you who have believed, when you encounter those who have denied, advancing in close approach, then do not turn your backs to them.
Research verse 8:15 →
وَمَن يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُۥٓ إِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِّقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا إِلَىٰ فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَآءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
And whoever turns his back to them on that day, except as one maneuvering for fighting or withdrawing toward a group, has indeed come back with anger from God, and his shelter is Hell—and wretched is the outcome.
Research verse 8:16 →
فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَمَىٰ وَلِيُبْلِىَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلَآءً حَسَنًا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
So it was not you who killed them, but Allah killed them; and you did not throw when you threw, but Allah threw, and [this was] so that He may subject the believers, from Himself, to a fine trial. Indeed, Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Research verse 8:17 →
ذَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
That is so, and [that] Allah is one who enfeebles the scheme of the deniers.
Research verse 8:18 →
إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلْفَتْحُ وَإِن تَنتَهُوا۟ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَعُودُوا۟ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِىَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
If you seek an opening, then the opening has already come to you. But if you cease, it is better for you; and if you return, We will return, and your company will never enrich you in any way, even if it becomes many; and [know] that Allah is with the believers.
Research verse 8:19 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
O you who have attained faith, respond in obedience to Allah and His messenger, and do not turn away from him while you are hearing.
Research verse 8:20 →
وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
And do not be like those who said, “We have heard,” while they do not hear.
Research verse 8:21 →
إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Indeed, the worst of the creeping creatures with Allah are the deaf, the dumb – those who do not reason.
Research verse 8:22 →
وَلَوْ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا لَّأَسْمَعَهُمْ وَلَوْ أَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوا۟ وَّهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
And if Allah had known any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear; and even if He had made them hear, they would surely have turned away while they were ones who turn aside.
Research verse 8:23 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ ٱلْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَأَنَّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
O you who have attained faith, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to what brings you to life; and know that Allah comes between a person and his heart, and that to Him you are gathered.
Research verse 8:24 →
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ فِتْنَةً لَّا تُصِيبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنكُمْ خَآصَّةً وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
And be wary of a trial that will not strike only those among you who have done wrong in particular, and know that Allah is severe in retribution.
Research verse 8:25 →
وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟ إِذْ أَنتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُّسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَن يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ فَـَٔاوَىٰكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُم بِنَصْرِهِۦ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
And remember when you were few, made weak in the land, fearing that people would snatch you away; then He sheltered you, and reinforced you with His support, and provided for you out of the good things, so that you might show gratitude.
Research verse 8:26 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَخُونُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوٓا۟ أَمَٰنَٰتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor betray your trusts while you know.
Research verse 8:27 →
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
And know that your wealth and your children are a test, and that with Allah is a tremendous reward.
Research verse 8:28 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِن تَتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
O you who have believed, if you are ever-conscious to guard yourselves regarding Allah, He will appoint for you a distinguishing separation, and He will cover over from you your bad deeds and will forgive you; and Allah is the possessor of the tremendous bounty.
Research verse 8:29 →
وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلْمَٰكِرِينَ
And when those who covered [the truth] were scheming against you, to make you firm‑detained, or to kill you, or to drive you out; they scheme, and Allah schemes, and Allah is best of the schemers.
Research verse 8:30 →
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالُوا۟ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَآ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And when Our signs are recited to them, they say, “We have heard; if we wished, we could say something like this. This is nothing but writings of the former ones.”
Research verse 8:31 →
وَإِذْ قَالُوا۟ ٱللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَوِ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
And when they said, “O Allah, if this is indeed the truth from alongside You, then pour down upon us stones from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment.”
Research verse 8:32 →
وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
And Allah was not to chastise them while you are among them, and Allah was not to be one who chastises them while they are seeking covering-forgiveness.
Research verse 8:33 →
وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
And what is [the matter] with them that Allah should not punish them, while they are blocking [people] from the inviolable place of prostration, and they were not its allies; its allies are none but those who are mindful [of Him], but most of them do not know.
Research verse 8:34 →
وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَآءً وَتَصْدِيَةً فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
And their ṣalāh at the House was nothing but mukāʾ and taṣdiyah. So taste the punishment for how you used to conceal (the truth).
Research verse 8:35 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ
Indeed, those who have denied [the truth] spend their wealth in order to turn away from the path of Allah. So they will spend it, then it will become a regret upon them; then they will be overcome. And those who have denied [the truth] will be gathered to Hell.
Research verse 8:36 →
لِيَمِيزَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُۥ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُۥ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُۥ فِى جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
so that Allah may distinguish the corrupt from the wholesome, and place the corrupt, some of it upon some, then pile it up all together, then put it in Hell. Those – they are the losers.
Research verse 8:37 →
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِن يَنتَهُوا۟ يُغْفَرْ لَهُم مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِن يَعُودُوا۟ فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Say to those who have denied: if they stop, what has already passed will be covered over for them; but if they return, then the way of the former ones has already gone ahead.
Research verse 8:38 →
وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
And fight them until there is no testing‑persecution, and the judgment‑way is, all of it, for Allah. Then if they cease, indeed Allah is Seeing of what they do.
Research verse 8:39 →
وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ نِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ
And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your patron; how excellent a patron, and how excellent a helper.
Research verse 8:40 →
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُۥ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ ٱلْتَقَى ٱلْجَمْعَانِ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
And know that whatever you obtain as booty of anything, then indeed one-fifth of it is for Allah, and for the Messenger, and for the near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the son of the road, if you have believed in Allah and in what We sent down upon Our servant on the Day of the Criterion, the day the two gatherings met; and Allah is Powerful over every thing.
Research verse 8:41 →
إِذْ أَنتُم بِٱلْعُدْوَةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُم بِٱلْعُدْوَةِ ٱلْقُصْوَىٰ وَٱلرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتُّمْ لَٱخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْمِيعَٰدِ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَقْضِىَ ٱللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا لِّيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنۢ بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَىٰ مَنْ حَىَّ عَنۢ بَيِّنَةٍ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
When you were on the nearer bank, and they were on the farther bank, and the caravan was lower than you. And if you had made a mutual appointment, you would surely have differed concerning the appointed time. But [it was] so that Allah might carry through a matter that was to be done, so that whoever passed away would pass away on the basis of a clear proof, and whoever lived would live on the basis of a clear proof. And indeed Allah is surely Hearing, Knowing.
Research verse 8:42 →
إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلًا وَلَوْ أَرَىٰكَهُمْ كَثِيرًا لَّفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَلَّمَ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
When Allah was showing them to you in your sleep as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you would surely have lost heart and you would surely have pulled apart from one another concerning the matter. But Allah made things safe and sound; indeed, He is Knowing of that which is within the chests.
Research verse 8:43 →
وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ ٱلْتَقَيْتُمْ فِىٓ أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلًا وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِىٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِىَ ٱللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ
And when He shows them to you, when you meet, as few in your eyes, and He makes you few in their eyes, so that Allah may bring to completion a matter that had been done; and to Allah all matters are returned.
Research verse 8:44 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَةً فَٱثْبُتُوا۟ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O you who have believed, when you meet a group, then stand firm, and remember Allah abundantly, so that you may attain success.
Research verse 8:45 →
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَنَٰزَعُوا۟ فَتَفْشَلُوا۟ وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ وَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
And obey Allah and His messenger, and do not pull apart from one another, lest you lose heart and your wind depart; and endure. Indeed, Allah is with those who endure.
Research verse 8:46 →
وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِم بَطَرًا وَرِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ
And do not be like those who went out from their dwellings in exultant arrogance and for people’s show, and they bar [others] from the path of Allah; and Allah is all‑encompassing of what they do.
Research verse 8:47 →
وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَإِنِّى جَارٌ لَّكُمْ فَلَمَّا تَرَآءَتِ ٱلْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنكُمْ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
And when Satan made their deeds seem attractive to them and said, “There is no overcomer of you today from among the people, and indeed I am a neighbour/ally for you.” But when the two groups saw each other, he turned back on his heels and said, “Indeed, I am clear of you; indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed, I fear Allah, and Allah is severe in retribution.”
Research verse 8:48 →
إِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ غَرَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ دِينُهُمْ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is sickness were saying, “Their dīn has deluded these people.” But whoever entrusts himself to Allah, then indeed Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Research verse 8:49 →
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
And if you could see when the angels fully take those who covered [the truth], striking their faces and their backs: “And taste the punishment of the burning.”
Research verse 8:50 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
That is because of what your hands have sent ahead, and [because] Allah is not an excessive wrongdoer to the servants.
Research verse 8:51 →
كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
Like the ongoing way of the people of Pharaoh and those before them: they covered up (the truth of) the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their trailing consequences. Indeed, Allah is strong, intense in requital.
Research verse 8:52 →
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
That is because Allah has not been one to change a blessing He has bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Research verse 8:53 →
كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ
[Their way is] like the way of the people of Pharaoh and those before them: they belied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their tails [i.e., trailing consequences], and We drowned the people of Pharaoh; and all of them had been wrongdoers.
Research verse 8:54 →
إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Indeed, the worst of the moving creatures with Allah are those who have denied, so they do not believe.
Research verse 8:55 →
ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتَّ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِى كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُونَ
Those with whom you made a covenant from among them, then they tear up their covenant every time, while they are not ever mindful (in wary restraint).
Research verse 8:56 →
فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِم مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
So if you should come upon them in war, then drive to flight by means of them those who are behind them, so that they might take heed.
Research verse 8:57 →
وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِن قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَٱنۢبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
And if you do indeed fear treachery from a people, then throw [the pact] back to them on equal terms; surely Allah does not love the treacherous.
Research verse 8:58 →
وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ سَبَقُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُونَ
And let not those who have denied think that they have gotten ahead; indeed, they are not ones to frustrate.
Research verse 8:59 →
وَأَعِدُّوا۟ لَهُم مَّا ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ ٱلْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِۦ عَدُوَّ ٱللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَءَاخَرِينَ مِن دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ
And make ready for them, as much as you are able, of force and of tethered horses, by which you instill awe thereby into the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them, apart from them, whom you do not know—Allah knows them. And whatever you spend of anything in the path of Allah will be paid back to you in full, and you will not be wronged.
Research verse 8:60 →
وَإِن جَنَحُوا۟ لِلسَّلْمِ فَٱجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And if they incline toward peace, then incline toward it, and entrust yourself to Allah; indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Research verse 8:61 →
وَإِن يُرِيدُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ ٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِۦ وَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And if they intend to deceive you, then indeed Allah is enough for you; He is the One who reinforced you with His support and with the believers.
Research verse 8:62 →
وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَّآ أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
And He made harmony between their hearts. If you were to spend all that is in the earth, you would not make harmony between their hearts; but Allah made harmony between them. Indeed, He is mighty, wise.
Research verse 8:63 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ حَسْبُكَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O Prophet, Allah is enough for you, and (so are) those who have followed you from among the believers.
Research verse 8:64 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ حَرِّضِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى ٱلْقِتَالِ إِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَٰبِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةٌ يَغْلِبُوٓا۟ أَلْفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ
O Prophet, rouse the believers to fighting. If there are among you twenty who endure, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are among you a hundred, they will overcome a thousand of those who have denied, because they are a people who do not comprehend.
Research verse 8:65 →
ٱلْـَٰٔنَ خَفَّفَ ٱللَّهُ عَنكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا فَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوٓا۟ أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
Now Allah has lightened [the burden] for you, and He has known that there is weakness within you. So if there are among you one hundred who endure, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are among you a thousand, they will overcome two thousand by Allah's leave. And Allah is with those who endure.
Research verse 8:66 →
مَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
It was not for any prophet to have captives until he has made [his position] firm in the land. You seek the fleeting gain of this nearest life, while Allah seeks the Hereafter; and Allah is overpoweringly strong, all‑wise.
Research verse 8:67 →
لَّوْلَا كِتَٰبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَآ أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Were it not for a decree from Allah that had already gone ahead, a tremendous punishment would indeed have touched you regarding what you took.
Research verse 8:68 →
فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
So eat from what you have gained as spoils—lawful, wholesome—and be mindful of Allah; indeed, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.
Research verse 8:69 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ قُل لِّمَن فِىٓ أَيْدِيكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓ إِن يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِّمَّآ أُخِذَ مِنكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O prophet, say to those who are in your hands from among the bound ones: “If Allah knows any good in your hearts, He will grant you better than what was taken from you and will cover for you (your faults). And Allah is All‑Covering (of faults), Ever‑Merciful.”
Research verse 8:70 →
وَإِن يُرِيدُوا۟ خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
And if they intend to betray you, then they have already betrayed Allah before, so He enabled (you) against them; and Allah is All‑Knowing, All‑Wise.
Research verse 8:71 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاوَوا۟ وَّنَصَرُوٓا۟ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوا۟ مَا لَكُم مِّن وَلَٰيَتِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا۟ وَإِنِ ٱسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍۭ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Indeed, those who have trusted, and have migrated, and have striven with their wealth and their selves in the path of Allah, and those who gave shelter and helped – those, some of them are protectors/allies of others. And those who have trusted but have not migrated – you have no bond of protective alliance with them in anything until they migrate. And if they seek your help concerning the deen, then upon you is the help, except against a people between you and between whom there is a solemn pact. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.
Research verse 8:72 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُن فِتْنَةٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ
And those who have covered [the truth]—some of them are protectors of others. If you do not do it, there will be a trial in the land and great corruption.
Research verse 8:73 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاوَوا۟ وَّنَصَرُوٓا۟ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا لَّهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
And those who have attained faith and emigrated and strove in the path of God, and those who gave shelter and helped – those, they are the believers in truth. For them is covering‑forgiveness and a generous provision.
Research verse 8:74 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ مَعَكُمْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مِنكُمْ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۢ
And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove along with you – then those are of you. And possessors of the womb‑ties, some of them are nearer to some (than others) in the decree/writing of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of everything.
Research verse 8:75 →
