Surah Al-Anfal (8:67)
مَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
It was not for any prophet to have captives until he has made [his position] firm in the land. You seek the fleeting gain of this nearest life, while Allah seeks the Hereafter; and Allah is overpoweringly strong, all‑wise.
