Surah Al-Anfal (8:52)

كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

Like the ongoing way of the people of Pharaoh and those before them: they covered up (the truth of) the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their trailing consequences. Indeed, Allah is strong, intense in requital.
