ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ
The praise belongs to Allah, the One who created the heavens and the earth and set up the darknesses and the light; then, those who cover [the truth] regarding their Lord set up equals.
Research verse 6:1 →
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰٓ أَجَلًا وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ
He is the One who created you from clay, then determined a term, and another term, specified with Him; then you are doubting.
Research verse 6:2 →
وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ
And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knows your hidden and your open, and He knows what you acquire.
Research verse 6:3 →
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
And no sign comes to them from among the signs of their Lord except that they have been, regarding it, ones who turn away.
Research verse 6:4 →
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
So they have indeed denied the truth when it came to them; therefore there will soon come to them the reports of that which they used to mock.
Research verse 6:5 →
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ
Have they not seen how many a generation We destroyed before them—whom We had firmly established in the earth with that which We have not firmly established you—and We sent the sky upon them in abundant pouring, and We made the rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their tails, and raised up after them another generation.
Research verse 6:6 →
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَٰبًا فِى قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
And if We had sent down to you a writing in a sheet, and they touched it with their hands, those who covered [the truth] would certainly say, “This is nothing but evident sorcery.”
Research verse 6:7 →
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ
And they said, “Why has not an angel been sent down upon him?” Yet if We had sent down an angel, the matter would indeed have been concluded; then they would not be given any respite.
Research verse 6:8 →
وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ
And if We had made him an angel, We would certainly have made him a man, and We would indeed have obscured for them what they are (already) obscuring.
Research verse 6:9 →
وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
And indeed, messengers were already made a target of mockery before you; then there closed in upon those who scoffed at them that which they had been mocking with.
Research verse 6:10 →
قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Say, “Travel through the land, then look how the outcome was for the deniers.”
Research verse 6:11 →
قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ قُل لِّلَّهِ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Say, “To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth?” Say, “To God. He has prescribed mercy upon Himself. He will surely gather you to the Day of Standing, there is no doubt in it. Those who have lost their [own] selves – so they do not trust.”
Research verse 6:12 →
وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And to Him belongs whatever comes to rest in the night and the day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Research verse 6:13 →
قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Say, “Shall I take, apart from Allah, a close guardian—Originator of the heavens and the earth—while He is the One who provides food and is not provided for? Say, ‘Indeed I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit, and never be among those who join (others) as partners.’”
Research verse 6:14 →
قُلْ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Say, “Indeed I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the correction of a tremendous Day.”
Research verse 6:15 →
مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Whoever it is turned away from on that Day – then He has certainly shown him mercy; and that is the evident success.
Research verse 6:16 →
وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
And if Allah touches you with harm, then there is no uncoverer of it except Him; and if He touches you with good, then He is powerful over every thing.
Research verse 6:17 →
وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
And He is the overpowering One above His servants, and He is the Wise, the All‑Aware.
Research verse 6:18 →
قُلْ أَىُّ شَىْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَٰدَةً قُلِ ٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌۢ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخْرَىٰ قُل لَّآ أَشْهَدُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
Say, “Which thing is greatest as testimony?” Say, “God is a witness between me and you, and this Recitation has been inspired to me so that I may warn you by it, and whoever it reaches. Is it that you indeed testify that, with God, there are other gods?” Say, “I do not testify.” Say, “He is only one god, and indeed I am disassociated from what you join (with Him).”
Research verse 6:19 →
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Those to whom We have given the Book recognize it just as they recognize their own sons. Those are the ones who have ruined their own selves, so they do not trust (in it).
Research verse 6:20 →
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
And who is more darkly unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah, or denies His signs? Indeed, the darkly unjust do not attain success.
Research verse 6:21 →
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
And on the Day We gather them all together, then We will say to those who made [others] join [with Allah], “Where are your partners—those whom you used to claim?”
Research verse 6:22 →
ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ وَٱللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ
Then their test-result was nothing but that they said, “By Allah, our Lord, we were not ones who joined (others with Him).”
Research verse 6:23 →
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
Look how they have lied against their own selves, and lost from them is what they used to fabricate.
Research verse 6:24 →
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُوكَ يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And among them is one who listens attentively to you, but We have placed upon their hearts coverings, so that they do not comprehend it, and in their ears a heaviness. And even if they see every sign, they will not trust in it, until when they come to you, they dispute with you; those who have covered [the truth] say, “This is nothing but writings of the former ones.”
Research verse 6:25 →
وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
And they forbid it and keep away from it; yet they cause nothing to perish except their own selves, while they do not perceive.
Research verse 6:26 →
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُوا۟ يَٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And if you could see when they are made to stand before the Fire, then they will say, “Oh, if only we were sent back, then we would not deny the signs of our Lord, and we would be among the believers.”
Research verse 6:27 →
بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
Rather, what they used to conceal before has now become apparent to them; and even if they were sent back, they would surely return to what they had been forbidden from, and indeed, they are surely liars.
Research verse 6:28 →
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ
And they said, “It is nothing but our near life, and we are not ones to be raised up.”
Research verse 6:29 →
وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَٰذَا بِٱلْحَقِّ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
And if you could see when they are made to stand before their Lord, He will say, “Is this not the reality?” They will say, “Yes indeed, by our Lord.” He will say, “So taste the correction for what you used to cover over.”
Research verse 6:30 →
قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُوا۟ يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ
Indeed, those have lost who denied the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour comes upon them suddenly, they will say, “Alas for us, over what we fell short regarding it,” while they are carrying their burdens upon their backs. Oh, how evil is what they are bearing.
Research verse 6:31 →
وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَلَلدَّارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
And the lowly life is nothing but play and distraction, while the later abode is better for those who are mindful (of protection). Will you not use your reason?
Research verse 6:32 →
قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَحْزُنُكَ ٱلَّذِى يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ
We certainly know that it surely grieves you, what they say. Yet, indeed, they are not declaring you to be a liar; rather, it is the wrongdoers who reject the signs of Allah.
Research verse 6:33 →
وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِى۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
And indeed, messengers were certainly denied before you, but they endured what they were denied and were hurt, until Our help came to them. And there is no changer of the words of Allah. And indeed, some of the report of the envoys has already come to you.
Research verse 6:34 →
وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِىَ نَفَقًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ
And if their turning away has become heavy upon you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel in the earth or a stairway into the sky so that you bring them a sign—yet if Allah had willed, He would surely have gathered them upon the guidance—so do not indeed be among the ignorant.
Research verse 6:35 →
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ
Only those who listen respond; while as for the dead, Allah will raise them, then to Him they are returned.
Research verse 6:36 →
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةً وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
And they say, “If only a sign were sent down upon him from his Lord!” Say, “Indeed, Allah is fully able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.”
Research verse 6:37 →
وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَٰٓئِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِن شَىْءٍ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ
And there is not any moving creature in the earth, nor any bird that flies with its two wings, but they are communities, similar to you. We have not fallen short in the Book in anything; then to their Lord they will be gathered.
Research verse 6:38 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
And those who have denied Our signs are deaf and dumb, in the darknesses. Whoever Allah wills, He lets go astray; and whoever He wills, He sets him upon a straight path.
Research verse 6:39 →
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Say, “Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah comes to you, or the Hour comes to you, is it someone other than Allah you call upon, if you are truthful?”
Research verse 6:40 →
بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ
Rather, it is Him alone you call upon, then He uncovers what you call on Him regarding, if He wills; and you forget what you join as partners.
Research verse 6:41 →
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
And indeed We sent [messengers] to communities before you, then We seized them with hardship and with harm so that they might plead in humble entreaty.
Research verse 6:42 →
فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
So why, when Our might came upon them, did they not plead in lowliness? Instead, their hearts hardened, and the shayṭān made seem appealing to them what they had been doing.
Research verse 6:43 →
فَلَمَّا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓا۟ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ
Then when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We opened upon them the gates of every thing, until when they rejoiced in what they had been given, We seized them suddenly, and then—there they were, utterly despondent.
Research verse 6:44 →
فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
So the rear of the people who had done wrong was cut off, and praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
Research verse 6:45 →
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَ
Say, “Have you considered: if Allah were to take your hearing and your sights, and seal upon your hearts, what god, other than Allah, could bring them to you?” Look how We vary the signs; then they turn aside.
Research verse 6:46 →
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
Say, “Have you considered: if the punishment of God comes upon you suddenly or openly, is anyone made to perish except the darkly‑wrongdoing people?”
Research verse 6:47 →
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
And We do not send the envoys except as bearers of good news and as warners; so whoever has attained faith and set things right, then no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve.
Research verse 6:48 →
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُونَ
And those who denied Our signs – the correction will touch them for what they used to deviate.
Research verse 6:49 →
قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Say, “I do not say to you that with me are the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the hidden, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I follow nothing except what is revealed to me. Say, ‘Is the blind equal to the seeing? Will you, then, not reflect?’”
Research verse 6:50 →
وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
And warn with it those who fear that they will be gathered to their Lord; they have no ally nor any intercessor apart from Him, so that they may be mindful (of Him).
Research verse 6:51 →
وَلَا تَطْرُدِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلْعَشِىِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُۥ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord in the early morning and the late afternoon, seeking His face. Nothing at all of their account is upon you, and nothing at all of your account is upon them. So if you drive them away, you would then be among the wrongdoers.
Research verse 6:52 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنۢ بَيْنِنَآ أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
And thus We have tested some of them by means of others, so that they say, “Are these the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor from among us?” Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful?
Research verse 6:53 →
وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوٓءًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And when those who are secure in Our signs come to you, then say, “Peace [be] upon you. Your Lord has written mercy upon Himself: that whoever among you has done an evil through ignorance, then turned back after it and set things right, then indeed He is ever-covering, ever-merciful.”
Research verse 6:54 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
And thus We distinguish the signs in detail, so that the path of the criminals becomes clearly apparent.
Research verse 6:55 →
قُلْ إِنِّى نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قُل لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
Say, “Indeed I have been forbidden from serving those whom you call upon apart from Allah. Say, ‘I do not follow your desires; I would certainly then have gone astray, and I am not of the guided.’”
Research verse 6:56 →
قُلْ إِنِّى عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِۦ مَا عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ يَقُصُّ ٱلْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ
Say, “Indeed, I am upon a clear proof from my Lord, yet you have denied it. What I have is not what you are trying to hasten. The judgment is only for God: He recounts the truth, and He is the best of those who separate (between matters).”
Research verse 6:57 →
قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِى مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
Say, “If what you are hastening were with me, the matter would certainly have been concluded between me and you; and Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers.”
Research verse 6:58 →
وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ
And with Him are the openings of the hidden; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is in the open land and the sea. And no leaf falls without His knowing it, nor any grain in the darknesses of the earth, nor anything fresh nor dry, but it is in a clear Book.
Research verse 6:59 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰٓ أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
And He is the One who fully takes you at night, and He knows what you have earned by day; then He raises you up in it so that a specified term may be completed. Then to Him is your return; then He will inform you of what you had been doing.
Research verse 6:60 →
وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ
And He is the overpowering One above His servants, and He sends over you keepers, until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him in full, and they do not fall short.
Research verse 6:61 →
ثُمَّ رُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ ٱلْحَٰسِبِينَ
Then they are returned to Allah, their true Patron. Indeed, to Him belongs the judgment, and He is swiftest of those who take account.
Research verse 6:62 →
قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
Say, “Who delivers you from the darknesses of the land and the sea? You call upon Him in humility and in secret, ‘If He delivers us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.’”
Research verse 6:63 →
قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ
Say, “Allah delivers you from it and from every great distress; then you (still) join (others) as partners.”
Research verse 6:64 →
قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Say, “He is the One capable of raising up against you a correction from above you or from beneath your feet, or of clothing you in factions and making some of you taste the hardship of others.” Look how We vary the signs, so that they might understand.
Research verse 6:65 →
وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ
Yet your people have denied it, while it is the truth. Say, “I am not a trustee set over you.”
Research verse 6:66 →
لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
For every report there is a settled point, and you will (then) know.
Research verse 6:67 →
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And when you see those who plunge into discussion concerning Our signs, then turn away from them until they plunge into a discourse other than it. And if the shayṭān makes you forget, then do not sit, after the reminder, with the wrongdoing people.
Research verse 6:68 →
وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
And there is nothing of their account upon those who are mindful (of God); but [this is] a reminder, so that they may become mindful.
Research verse 6:69 →
وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
And leave those who have taken their judgment‑way as play and diversion, and whom the lowly life has deluded. And remind with it, lest a soul be delivered over because of what it has earned; it will have, apart from God, no ally and no intercessor, and even if it were to offer every equivalent payment, it would not be accepted from it. Those are the ones who have been delivered over because of what they earned; for them is a drink from boiling hot [liquid] and a painful punishment for how they used to deny.
Research verse 6:70 →
قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٌ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَى ٱئْتِنَا قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Say, “Shall we call, apart from God, upon what does not benefit us and does not harm us, and be turned back upon our heels after God has guided us—like one whom the satans have lured down in the land, bewildered, while he has companions calling him to the guidance, ‘Come to us’? Say, ‘Indeed, God’s guidance—that is the guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.’”
Research verse 6:71 →
وَأَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
and that you uphold the prayer, and be wary of Him; and He is the One to whom you are gathered.
Research verse 6:72 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
And He is the One who created the heavens and the earth with truth. And on the Day He says, “Be,” then it is—His saying is the truth. And to Him belongs the dominion on the Day the trumpet is blown: Knower of the hidden and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the All‑Aware.
Research verse 6:73 →
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
And when Abraham said to his father, Azar, “Do you take idols as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in clear error.”
Research verse 6:74 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ
And thus We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he may be among those who are certain.
Research verse 6:75 →
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ
Then when the night covered him, he saw a star and said, “This is my Lord.” But when it departed, he said, “I do not love those that depart.”
Research verse 6:76 →
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِى رَبِّى لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
Then when he saw the moon emerging, he said, “This is my Lord.” But when it departed, he said, “If my Lord does not guide me, I will surely be among the misguided people.”
Research verse 6:77 →
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى هَٰذَآ أَكْبَرُ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
Then when he saw the sun emerging, he said, “This is my Lord; this is greater.” But when it disappeared, he said, “O my people, I am indeed disassociated from what you join (with Him).”
Research verse 6:78 →
إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Indeed, I have turned my face toward the One who split‑originated the heavens and the earth, as a deviant‑from‑error, and I am not of those who join [others with Him].
Research verse 6:79 →
وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى فِى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنِ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّى شَيْـًٔا وَسِعَ رَبِّى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And his people argued with him. He said, “Do you argue with me concerning Allah, while He has already guided me? And I do not fear what you join with Him—except if my Lord wills anything. My Lord has encompassed every thing in knowledge. Will you then not remember?”
Research verse 6:80 →
وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًا فَأَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْأَمْنِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
So how could I fear what you have made partners, while you do not fear that you have made, with Allah, partners for which He has not sent down upon you any authority? So which of the two groups has more claim to security, if you are (truly) knowing?
Research verse 6:81 →
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
Those who have trusted, and have not clothed their trust with darkness—those, for them is security, and they are the guided.
Research verse 6:82 →
وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٍ مَّن نَّشَآءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
And that is Our proof which We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise in ranks whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise, Knowing.
Research verse 6:83 →
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
And We granted him Isaac and Jacob; each one We guided. And Noah We had guided before, and from his offspring [We guided] David, and Solomon, and Job, and Joseph, and Moses, and Aaron. And thus do We recompense the ones who excel in doing good.
Research verse 6:84 →
وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
And Zechariah, and John, and Jesus, and Elias – each one was among the righteous.
Research verse 6:85 →
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And Ishmael, and Al‑Yasaʿ, and Jonah, and Lot — and each one We gave advantage over the worlds.
Research verse 6:86 →
وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
And from among their fathers, their descendants, and their brothers — and We selected them and guided them to a straight path.
Research verse 6:87 →
ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
That is Allah’s guidance; He guides by it whom He wills from among His servants. And had they joined [others] as partners, what they had been doing would indeed have been nullified away from them.
Research verse 6:88 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ
Those are the ones to whom We gave the Book, and the wise judgment, and the prophethood. So if these reject it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not, with respect to it, rejecters.
Research verse 6:89 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقْتَدِهْ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so by their guidance follow. Say, “I do not ask you for it any payment; it is nothing but a reminder for all communities.”
Research verse 6:90 →
وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍ مِّن شَىْءٍ قُلْ مَنْ أَنزَلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورًا وَهُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًا وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِى خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ
And they did not measure Allah with the true measure when they said, “Allah has not sent down anything upon any human.” Say, “Who sent down the Book which Moses brought as a light and guidance for the people? You make it into parchments, showing them and hiding much, and you were taught what you did not know — neither you nor your fathers.” Say, “Allah.” Then leave them in their plunging, playing.
Research verse 6:91 →
وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
And this is a Writing which We have sent down, blessed, confirming what is between its hands, and so that you may warn the Mother of the Towns and whoever is around it. And those who trust in the Later one believe in it, and they are ones who guard their prayer.
Research verse 6:92 →
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
And who is more darkly unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, “It has been communicated to me,” while nothing at all has been communicated to him; and one who says, “I will send down the like of what Allah has sent down”? If only you could see when the wrongdoers are in the engulfing depths of death, while the angels are stretching out their hands, [saying], “Bring out your selves! Today you are repaid with the torment of humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth, and for how you used to act arrogantly away from His signs.”
Research verse 6:93 →
وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
And indeed you have come to Us one by one, just as We created you the first time, and you have left behind your backs whatever We had entrusted to you. And We do not see with you your interceders whom you claimed were partners among you. The bond between you has certainly been cut off, and lost from you is what you used to claim.
Research verse 6:94 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلْحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ
Indeed, Allah is the splitter of the grain and the pit. He brings out the living from the dead, and He is the bringer-out of the dead from the living. That is Allah, so how are you turned away?
Research verse 6:95 →
فَالِقُ ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ
Splitter of the daybreak, and He made the night a stillness, and the sun and the moon for calculation. That is the apportioning of the Mighty, the Knowing.
Research verse 6:96 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
And He is the One who made the stars for you, so that you may be guided by them amid the darknesses of the land and the sea. We have indeed set out the signs in detail for a people who know.
Research verse 6:97 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ
And He is the One who brought you into being from a single self; then there is a place of settlement and a place of deposit. We have indeed set out the signs in detail for a people who comprehend.
Research verse 6:98 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّٰتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ ٱنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكُمْ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
And He is the One who sent down water from the sky; then We brought out with it the growth of every kind. So We brought out from it fresh greenery, from which We bring out grain layered upon grain; and from the date‑palms, from their emerging fruit, are clusters brought low; and gardens of grapevines, and the olive, and the pomegranate—resembling one another and yet not alike. Look at its fruit when it bears fruit and at its ripening. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.
Research verse 6:99 →
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ ٱلْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ وَخَرَقُوا۟ لَهُۥ بَنِينَ وَبَنَٰتٍۭ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
And they assigned to God partners: the jinn, though He created them; and they tore out for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glory be to Him, and exalted is He above what they describe.
Research verse 6:100 →
بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُۥ صَٰحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could there be for Him a child when there has not been for Him a female companion, while He has created every thing? And He is, of every thing, All-Knowing.
Research verse 6:101 →
ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
That is Allah, your Lord. There is no god except Him, Creator of every thing, so serve Him; and He is, over every thing, a trustee (the One entrusted with all affairs).
Research verse 6:102 →
لَّا تُدْرِكُهُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِيفُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
Sight does not fully attain Him, while He attains [all] sight; and He is the Gentle, the All‑Aware.
Research verse 6:103 →
قَدْ جَآءَكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَنْ عَمِىَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ
Indeed, insights have come to you from your Lord; so whoever perceives, it is for [the benefit of] his own self, and whoever is blind, then it is against it. And I am not a keeper over you.
Research verse 6:104 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ وَلِيَقُولُوا۟ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
And thus We vary the signs, so that they say, “You have studied,” and so that We may make it clear for a people who know.
Research verse 6:105 →
ٱتَّبِعْ مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Follow what has been inspired to you from your Lord — there is no god except Him — and turn away from the ones who join (others) as partners.
Research verse 6:106 →
وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ
And had Allah willed, they would not have joined [others with Him]; and We have not made you a keeper over them, and you are not a trustee in charge of them.
Research verse 6:107 →
وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
And do not revile those whom they call upon apart from Allah, so they would revile Allah in hostility, without knowledge. Thus We have made every community’s deed seem fair to them. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they had been doing.
Research verse 6:108 →
وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
And they swore by Allah, to the utmost of their oaths, that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, “The signs are only with Allah.” And what makes you perceive that when it comes, they will not believe?
Research verse 6:109 →
وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
And We turn their inner-hearts and their sights, just as they did not trust in it the first time; and We let them be, in their overstepping, wandering in confusion.
Research verse 6:110 →
وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ قُبُلًا مَّا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ
And even if We were to send down the angels to them, and the dead were to speak to them, and We were to gather every thing against them, face‑to‑face, they would not be ones to believe, unless Allah wills; but most of them are ignorant.
Research verse 6:111 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَٰطِينَ ٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلْجِنِّ يُوحِى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ ٱلْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ
And thus We have set up for every prophet an enemy: the rebellious ones of humankind and jinn. Some of them transmit to others an ornamented speech, as delusion. And had your Lord willed, they would not have done it; so leave them and what they fabricate.
Research verse 6:112 →
وَلِتَصْغَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفْـِٔدَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا۟ مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَ
And so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline toward it, and so that they may be pleased with it, and so that they may commit what they are (already) committing.
Research verse 6:113 →
أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْتَغِى حَكَمًا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلًا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
So is it, then, other than Allah that I should seek as a judge, while He is the One who has sent down to you the Book, set out in detail? And those to whom We have given the Book know that it is sent down from your Lord with the truth, so do not ever be among the doubters.
Research verse 6:114 →
وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And the word of your Lord has been brought to completion in truth and justice. There is no changer of His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Research verse 6:115 →
وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
And if you obey most of those who are on the earth, they will cause you to stray from the path of Allah; they follow nothing but conjecture, and they do nothing but estimate (things) by guesswork.
Research verse 6:116 →
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَن يَضِلُّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
Indeed, your Lord—He is most knowing of who strays from His path, and He is most knowing of those who are guided.
Research verse 6:117 →
فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
So eat from that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His signs.
Research verse 6:118 →
وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا ٱضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا لَّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
And what is [the matter] with you that you do not eat from what the name of Allah has been mentioned over, when He has already set out for you in detail what He has made forbidden to you—except what you have been driven to by necessity? And indeed, many surely lead [others] astray by their desires, without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord—He is most knowing of those who exceed the limits.
Research verse 6:119 →
وَذَرُوا۟ ظَٰهِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ ٱلْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَقْتَرِفُونَ
And abandon the outward of the offence and its inward. Indeed, those who earn the offence will soon be repaid for what they used to perpetrate.
Research verse 6:120 →
وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسْقٌ وَإِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ
And do not eat from that over which the name of Allah has not been mentioned; for indeed, it is surely grave deviancy. And indeed, the satans certainly transmit revelation to their allies so that they may argue with you; and if you obey them, you are surely ones who join (others) with Him.
Research verse 6:121 →
أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورًا يَمْشِى بِهِۦ فِى ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
So is one who was dead, then We gave him life and made for him a light by which he walks among the people like one whose likeness is in the darknesses, not one going out from them? Thus is made adorned for the concealers what they had been doing.
Research verse 6:122 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا۟ فِيهَا وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
And thus We have set up, in every town, the greatest of its criminals so that they may scheme within it; yet they do not scheme except against their own selves, while they are not aware.
Research verse 6:123 →
وَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤْتَىٰ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥ سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَمْكُرُونَ
And when a sign comes to them, they say, “We will never believe until we are given the like of what was given to the messengers of Allah.” Allah is most knowing where He places His message. Those who have committed crimes will soon be struck with humiliation in the presence of Allah, and a severe punishment, because of what they used to scheme.
Research verse 6:124 →
فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
So whoever Allah intends to guide, He opens up his chest for submission; and whoever He intends to let go astray, He makes his chest tight, constricted, as though he were laboriously ascending into the sky. Thus does Allah set the impurity upon those who do not trust (in Him).
Research verse 6:125 →
وَهَٰذَا صِرَٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
And this is the path of your Lord, straight. We have indeed set out the signs in detail for a people who take heed.
Research verse 6:126 →
لَهُمْ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
For them is the abode of peace with their Lord, and He is their close guardian because of what they used to do.
Research verse 6:127 →
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثْوَىٰكُمْ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
And [remember] the Day He gathers them all [together]: “O assembly of the jinn, you have greatly multiplied [your share] of humankind.” And their close associates from among humankind will say, “Our Lord, some of us enjoyed [benefit] through others, and we have reached our term which You appointed for us.” He will say, “The Fire is your place of stay, remaining therein, except as Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise, Knowing.”
Research verse 6:128 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّى بَعْضَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
And thus We turn some of the wrongdoers over to others because of what they used to earn.
Research verse 6:129 →
يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا قَالُوا۟ شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰفِرِينَ
“O assembly of the jinn and humankind! Did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My signs and warning you of the encounter of this Day of yours?” They said, “We have borne witness against ourselves.” And the lowly life of this world deluded them, and they bore witness against themselves that they had been deniers.
Research verse 6:130 →
ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَٰفِلُونَ
That is because your Lord was not to be one who destroys the communities with injustice while their people are unaware.
Research verse 6:131 →
وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَٰتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
And for each there are ranks arising from what they have done, and your Lord is not unaware of what they do.
Research verse 6:132 →
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنۢ بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَآءُ كَمَآ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ
And your Lord is the One free of need, possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can take you away and cause, after you, whatever He wills to succeed [you], just as He brought you into being from the offspring of another people.
Research verse 6:133 →
إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَـَٔاتٍ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Indeed, what you are promised is surely coming, and you are not ones to frustrate [it].
Research verse 6:134 →
قُلْ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّى عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلدَّارِ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
Say, “O my people, act according to your standing; indeed, I am acting. Then you will come to know who it is for whom the outcome of the abode will be. Indeed, the wrongdoers do not attain success.”
Research verse 6:135 →
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ ٱلْحَرْثِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَآئِهِمْ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
And they assigned for God, out of what He brought into being of cultivation and grazing livestock, a portion. Then they said, “This is for God,” according to their claim, “and this is for our partners.” So what was for their partners does not reach God, while what was for God — that reaches their partners. How bad is what they judge!
Research verse 6:136 →
وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ
And thus, the killing of their children was made attractive to many of the associators by their partners, so that they might ruin them and so that they might confound for them their way of life. And had Allah willed, they would not have done it; so leave them and what they fabricate.
Research verse 6:137 →
وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَنْعَٰمٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَٰمٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَٰمٌ لَّا يَذْكُرُونَ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
And they say, “These are livestock and cultivation, restricted: none tastes them except whom we wish” — by their assertion. And [they say], “Livestock whose backs are made forbidden, and livestock over which they do not mention the name of Allah” — fabrication against Him. He will recompense them for what they used to fabricate.
Research verse 6:138 →
وَقَالُوا۟ مَا فِى بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَآءُ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
And they said, “What is in the bellies of these livestock is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our mates; but if it is a dead one, then they are partners in it.” He will recompense them for their description; indeed, He is Wise, Knowing.
Research verse 6:139 →
قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَتَلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ سَفَهًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُوا۟ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱفْتِرَآءً عَلَى ٱللَّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِينَ
Those have indeed lost who killed their children in frivolity, without knowledge, and who declared unlawful what Allah had provided them, fabricating against Allah. They have surely strayed, and they had not been guided.
Research verse 6:140 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَ جَنَّٰتٍ مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَٰتٍ وَٱلنَّخْلَ وَٱلزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَٰبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَٰبِهٍ كُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦٓ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِۦ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
And He is the One who brought into being gardens, raised on structures and without structures, and date-palms, and crops whose produce is diverse, and the olive and the pomegranate, resembling and not resembling. Eat from its fruit when it bears fruit, and give its due on the day of its harvest, and do not be extravagant; indeed, He does not love the extravagant.
Research verse 6:141 →
وَمِنَ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا كُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
And of the grazing animals [He produced] some for carrying loads and some spread out [low to the ground]. Eat from what Allah has provided for you, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; indeed, he is a clear enemy to you.
Research verse 6:142 →
ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٰجٍ مِّنَ ٱلضَّأْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمَعْزِ ٱثْنَيْنِ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ نَبِّـُٔونِى بِعِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Eight pairs: from the sheep, two, and from the goats, two. Say, “Is it the two males that He has made forbidden, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females have encompassed? Inform me with knowledge, if you are truthful.”
Research verse 6:143 →
وَمِنَ ٱلْإِبِلِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ ٱثْنَيْنِ قُلْ ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا ٱشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا لِّيُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And of the camels, two, and of the cattle, two. Say, “Is it the two males that He has made forbidden, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females have encompassed? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined this upon you? So who is more unjust than one who fabricates a lie against Allah to lead people astray without knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.”
Research verse 6:144 →
قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِى مَآ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Say, “I do not find, in what has been revealed to me, anything prohibited for an eater who eats it, except that it be a carcass, or blood poured out, or the flesh of swine – for indeed, it is filth – or a deviancy: that over which a call has been raised for other than Allah. But whoever has been compelled, without being one who seeks (it) nor one who exceeds (the limit), then indeed your Lord is All‑Covering (of faults), Merciful.”
Research verse 6:145 →
وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِى ظُفُرٍ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَقَرِ وَٱلْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَآ أَوِ ٱلْحَوَايَآ أَوْ مَا ٱخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَٰهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
And upon those who became Judaized We made forbidden every possessor of a claw, and from the cattle and the sheep We made forbidden to them their fats, except what their backs carry, or the inner organs, or what is mixed with bone. That is what We recompensed them with for their overstepping, and indeed We are surely truthful.
Research verse 6:146 →
فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍ وَٰسِعَةٍ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
So if they deny you, then say, “Your Lord is possessor of an all‑encompassing mercy; yet His might (in affliction) is not turned back from the criminal people.”
Research verse 6:147 →
سَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَىْءٍ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا۟ بَأْسَنَا قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ
Those who have joined [others with God] will soon say, “If God had willed, neither we nor our fathers would have joined [anything with Him], nor would we have declared anything forbidden.” In just this way those before them denied, until they tasted Our might. Say, “Do you have any knowledge with you, so that you bring it out to us? You follow nothing but conjecture, and you are nothing but fabricating by guesswork.”
Research verse 6:148 →
قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحُجَّةُ ٱلْبَٰلِغَةُ فَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَىٰكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Say, “So to Allah belongs the conclusive proof; and had He willed, He would surely have guided you all together.”
Research verse 6:149 →
قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَٰذَا فَإِن شَهِدُوا۟ فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ
Say, “Come on with your witnesses—those who bear witness that Allah has made this forbidden.” Then if they bear witness, do not bear witness along with them, and do not follow the cravings of those who have denied Our signs and those who do not trust in the Hereafter, while they set up equals to their Lord.
Research verse 6:150 →
قُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ إِحْسَٰنًا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُم مِّنْ إِمْلَٰقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Say, “Come, I will recite what your Lord has made inviolable upon you: that you do not join anything with Him, and (that you show) excellence toward the parents; and do not kill your children out of destitution — We provide for you and for them; and do not come near the indecencies, what is outward of them and what is inward; and do not kill the life which Allah has made inviolable, except with due right. This is what He has charged you with, so that you may reason.”
Research verse 6:151 →
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ مَالَ ٱلْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَٱعْدِلُوا۟ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ وَبِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْفُوا۟ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
And do not draw near the wealth of the orphan except by that which is best, until he reaches his full strength. And fulfill the measure and the balance with equity. We do not burden any soul except to its capacity. And when you speak, then be just, even if he is one of close kin. And with the covenant of Allah, fulfill. This is what He has enjoined upon you so that you may remember.
Research verse 6:152 →
وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِى مُسْتَقِيمًا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
And that this is My path, straight, so follow it; and do not follow the [other] paths, lest they split you away from His path. This He has enjoined upon you so that you may be mindful [and guard yourselves].
Research verse 6:153 →
ثُمَّ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ تَمَامًا عَلَى ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلًا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Then We gave Moses the Book, as a completion upon the one who excelled in doing good, and as a detailed distinguishing of every thing, and as guidance and mercy, so that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.
Research verse 6:154 →
وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
And this is a written decree that We have sent down, endowed with blessing, so follow it and protect yourselves, so that you may be shown mercy.
Research verse 6:155 →
أَن تَقُولُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ عَلَىٰ طَآئِفَتَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِنَا وَإِن كُنَّا عَن دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَٰفِلِينَ
So that you not say, “The Book was only sent down upon two groups before us, and we were indeed unaware of their studying.”
Research verse 6:156 →
أَوْ تَقُولُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْكِتَٰبُ لَكُنَّآ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا سَنَجْزِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْدِفُونَ
Or lest you say, “If only the Book had been sent down upon us, we would surely have been more guided than they.” So indeed there has come to you a clear proof from your Lord, and guidance, and mercy. So who is more darkly unjust than one who denied the signs of Allah and turned away from them? We shall repay those who turn away from Our signs with the evil of the punishment for what they used to turn away.
Research verse 6:157 →
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِىَ بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِى بَعْضُ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَٰنُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ ءَامَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِىٓ إِيمَٰنِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ ٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ
Are they waiting for anything except that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord should come, or that some of the signs of your Lord should come? On the day when some of the signs of your Lord come, no living soul will be benefited by its trust/faith if it had not trusted/believed before, or had not earned any good within its trust/faith. Say, “Wait; indeed, we are waiting.”
Research verse 6:158 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
Indeed, those who have split up their judgment‑way and become factions – you are not, in any respect, from them. Their matter is only to Allah; then He will inform them of what they had been doing.
Research verse 6:159 →
مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
Whoever comes with the good [deed]—then for him are ten of its likes; and whoever comes with the bad [deed] will not be recompensed except the like of it, and they are not wronged.
Research verse 6:160 →
قُلْ إِنَّنِى هَدَىٰنِى رَبِّىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ دِينًا قِيَمًا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Say, “Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path: an upright judgment‑order, the creed of Abraham, one who turns away (from deviation), and he was not among those who join (others).”
Research verse 6:161 →
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحْيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Say, "Indeed my ṣalāh, and my *nusukī*, and my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Research verse 6:162 →
لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُۥ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
He has no associate. And by that I have been commanded, and I am the foremost of those who submit.
Research verse 6:163 →
قُلْ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِى رَبًّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
Say, “Shall I seek, apart from Allah, a lord—while He is the Lord of every thing? And no living self acquires anything except against itself, and no bearer (of a load) bears the load of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about that in which you had been differing.”
Research verse 6:164 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَٰتٍ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌۢ
And He is the One who has made you successors in the earth, and raised some of you above others in (many) steps, so that He may test you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in the consequence, and indeed, He is surely All‑covering (of faults), Ever‑merciful.
