Surah Al-An'am (6:137)

وَكَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

And thus, the killing of their children was made attractive to many of the associators by their partners, so that they might ruin them and so that they might confound for them their way of life. And had Allah willed, they would not have done it; so leave them and what they fabricate.
