الٓمٓ
Alif–Lam–Meem.
Research verse 30:1 →
غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ
The Romans have been overcome.
Research verse 30:2 →
فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
in the nearest land; and they, after their being overcome, will surely overcome,
Research verse 30:3 →
فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Within a few years. To God belongs the matter, before and after; and on that day the believers will rejoice.
Research verse 30:4 →
بِنَصْرِ ٱللَّهِ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
by Allah’s support. He supports whomever He wills, and He is the All‑Mighty, the Ever‑Merciful.
Research verse 30:5 →
وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
[It is] Allah’s appointment; Allah does not break His appointment, but most people do not know.
Research verse 30:6 →
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرًا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ
They know an outward aspect of the nearer life, while they, with regard to the later one, are heedless.
Research verse 30:7 →
أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَٰفِرُونَ
Have they then not reflected within themselves that Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except with truth and for a specified term? Yet indeed, many of the people are deniers of the meeting with their Lord.
Research verse 30:8 →
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Have they not journeyed in the land so that they look at how the outcome was of those before them? They were stronger than them in power, and they stirred up the land and developed it more than they have developed it; and their messengers came to them with clear proofs. So it was not for Allah to wrong them, but they themselves were wronging their own selves.
Research verse 30:9 →
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
Then the outcome of those who committed the worst was that they denied the signs of Allah and had been ridiculing them.
Research verse 30:10 →
ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Allah originates the creation, then He brings it back; then to Him you are returned.
Research verse 30:11 →
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
And the Day the Hour stands, the criminals will be dumbfounded in despair.
Research verse 30:12 →
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَآئِهِمْ شُفَعَٰٓؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ كَٰفِرِينَ
And there will not be for them, from among their partners, any intercessors; and they will be deniers of their partners.
Research verse 30:13 →
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ
And the Day the Hour stands, on that Day they will separate into groups.
Research verse 30:14 →
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَهُمْ فِى رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ
So as for those who have believed and done the sound, wholesome deeds, then they will be in a meadow, being gladdened.
Research verse 30:15 →
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآئِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ
And as for those who covered [up] and denied Our signs and the meeting of the Later [life], they are the ones made present in the punishment.
Research verse 30:16 →
فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ
So glory be to Allah at the time when you enter the evening and at the time when you enter the morning.
Research verse 30:17 →
وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ
And to Him belongs the praise in the heavens and the earth, and in the evening, and at the time when you enter the midday.
Research verse 30:18 →
يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَيُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
He brings out the living from the dead, and He brings out the dead from the living, and He gives life to the earth after its death; and in this way you will be brought out.
Research verse 30:19 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ
And among His signs is that He created you from dust; then, at once you are human beings spreading out.
Research verse 30:20 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
And among His signs is that He created for you, from your own selves, pairs, so that you may come to rest with them; and He set between you loving‑kindness and mercy. Surely in that are signs for a people who reflect.
Research verse 30:21 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ خَلْقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّلْعَٰلِمِينَ
And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variation of your tongues and your colors. Indeed, in that are surely signs for those who know.
Research verse 30:22 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
And among His signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Surely in that are signs for a people who listen.
Research verse 30:23 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَيُحْىِۦ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
And among His signs is that He shows you the lightning, [causing] fear and hope, and He sends down water from the sky, then by it He gives life to the earth after its death. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use their reason.
Research verse 30:24 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ
And among His signs is that the sky and the earth stand firm by His command; then, when He calls you with a call from the earth, at once you are coming out.
Research verse 30:25 →
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ كُلٌّ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ
And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth; all, to Him, are humbly compliant.
Research verse 30:26 →
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَهُ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
And He is the One who initiates the creation, then He brings it back, and that is easier for Him. And to Him belongs the highest likeness in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
Research verse 30:27 →
ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
He has set forth for you a likeness from your own selves: Is there, among what your right hands possess, any sharing-partners for you in what We have provided for you, so that you are equal in it, fearing them as your own selves? Thus We distinguish the signs in detail for a people who use their reason.
Research verse 30:28 →
بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَمَن يَهْدِى مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ
Rather, those who have done wrong follow their own desires without any knowledge; so who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And they have no helpers.
Research verse 30:29 →
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
So set your face steadily toward the judgment‑order, as a deviant‑from‑bending one: the originating pattern of God upon which He has originated the people. There is no altering of God’s creation. That is the upright judgment‑order, but most of the people do not know.
Research verse 30:30 →
مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Turning back toward Him, and be wary of Him, and uphold the prayer, and do not be among those who join [others as] partners.
Research verse 30:31 →
مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
from those who split up their dīn and became factions—each party exulting in what it has with it.
Research verse 30:32 →
وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
And when harm touches the people, they call their Lord, turning back to Him; then when He makes them taste a mercy from Him, behold, a group of them is joining others with their Lord.
Research verse 30:33 →
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
so that they cover up what We have brought to them. So enjoy [yourselves], for soon you will know.
Research verse 30:34 →
أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يُشْرِكُونَ
Or have We sent down upon them an authority, so it is speaking with what they had been associating [with Him]?
Research verse 30:35 →
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ
And when We make the people taste a mercy, they exult in it; but if a bad [thing] strikes them because of what their hands have sent ahead, then suddenly they fall into despair.
Research verse 30:36 →
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Have they then not seen that Allah spreads out the provision for whom He wills and measures it (out)? Surely in that are signs for a people who trust (in Him).
Research verse 30:37 →
فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
So give the near-relative his due, and the needy and the son of the path. That is better for those who desire the face of Allah, and it is they who are the successful.
Research verse 30:38 →
وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًا لِّيَرْبُوَا۟ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ
And anything you give as an increase so that it may grow within people’s wealth does not grow with Allah; but anything you give as zakah, seeking the Face of Allah – it is they who are the ones multiplied.
Research verse 30:39 →
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَىْءٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Allah is the One who created you, then provided for you, then causes you to die, then brings you to life. Is there, among your partners, anyone who does anything at all of that? Perfect is He in glory, and exalted above what they join (with Him).
Research verse 30:40 →
ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Degeneration has become evident on the dry land and the sea because of what the hands of people have earned, so that He makes them taste some of what they have done, so that they might return.
Research verse 30:41 →
قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ
Say, “Travel through the land, then look how the outcome was of those before; most of them had been joiners (of others with Him).”
Research verse 30:42 →
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ ٱلْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ
So set your face steadily toward the upright judgment‑order, before a Day comes—there is no turning it back—from Allah. On that Day they will split apart.
Research verse 30:43 →
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ
Whoever covers [the truth]—then upon him is his covering; and whoever does a sound deed, then they are laying down [a foundation/bed] for themselves.
Research verse 30:44 →
لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
so that He may recompense those who have believed and done the sound deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not love the concealers (of the truth).
Research verse 30:45 →
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
And among His signs is that He sends the winds as bearers of good news, and so that He may let you taste something of His mercy, and so that the ships may run by His command, and so that you may seek of His bounty, and so that you might show gratitude.
Research verse 30:46 →
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And indeed We sent, before you, messengers to their people, and they came to them with clear proofs; then We exacted retribution from those who committed crime, and supporting the believers was truly incumbent upon Us.
Research verse 30:47 →
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَٰلِهِۦ فَإِذَآ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
Allah is the One who sends the winds, so they stir up a cloud, then He spreads it out in the sky as He wills, and He makes it into pieces, so you see the downpour coming out from its midst; then when He strikes with it whom He wills among His servants, thereupon they become full of glad expectation.
Research verse 30:48 →
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ
And truly they had been, before it was sent down upon them—before that—ones plunged into despair.
Research verse 30:49 →
فَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِ رَحْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
So look to the traces of Allah’s mercy: how He brings the earth to life after its death. Indeed, that is surely One who brings the dead to life, and He is powerful over every thing.
Research verse 30:50 →
وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّا لَّظَلُّوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ يَكْفُرُونَ
And if We were to send a wind, and they then saw it turned yellow, they would surely persist, after that, in (their) denial.
Research verse 30:51 →
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
So you do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear the call when they turn away, retreating.
Research verse 30:52 →
وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِ ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
And you are not one to guide the blind away from their straying; you make none hear except those who trust in Our signs, so they are at peace in willing submission.
Research verse 30:53 →
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْقَدِيرُ
Allah is the One who created you from weakness, then after weakness He made strength, then after strength He made weakness and grey-haired old age. He creates whatever He wills, and He is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful.
Research verse 30:54 →
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ
And on the Day the Hour stands forth, the criminals will swear that they did not remain except (for) an hour; just like that they used to be turned away.
Research verse 30:55 →
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
And those who were given the knowledge and the faith will say, “You certainly remained, in Allah’s decree, until the Day of the Rising; so this is the Day of the Rising, but you used not to know.”
Research verse 30:56 →
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
So on that Day, the excuse of those who did wrong will not benefit them, and they will not be granted any restoration to favor.
Research verse 30:57 →
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ
And We have indeed set forth for the people, in this Qur’an, [illustrations] of every kind of likeness; yet if you were to come to them with a sign, those who have covered [the truth] would certainly say, “You are nothing but ones who make things void.”
Research verse 30:58 →
كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
In this way Allah imprints upon the hearts of those who do not know.
Research verse 30:59 →
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ
So endure, for the promise of Allah is a reality; and let not those who are not certain make you light (in conduct / unsteady).
