وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
By the night when it envelops,
Research verse 92:1 →
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
And by the day when it becomes manifest,
Research verse 92:2 →
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
And by what created the male and the female,
Research verse 92:3 →
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
Indeed, your striving is surely diverse.
Research verse 92:4 →
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ
So as for whoever gives and is conscious (of God),
Research verse 92:5 →
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
and confirms the most excellent (outcome).
Research verse 92:6 →
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
Then We will indeed ease him toward the most easy [way].
Research verse 92:7 →
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
But as for he who is stingy and deems himself self-sufficient,
Research verse 92:8 →
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
and denied the most excellent (outcome).
Research verse 92:9 →
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
Then We will ease him toward hardship.
Research verse 92:10 →
وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ
And his wealth will not avail him when he plunges down.
Research verse 92:11 →
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
Indeed, upon Us is [the task of] guidance.
Research verse 92:12 →
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
And indeed, to Us belong the later [realm] and the earlier [one].
Research verse 92:13 →
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
So I have warned you of a fire that flares up.
Research verse 92:14 →
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى
None will be made to suffer it except the most wretched.
Research verse 92:15 →
ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
the one who denied and turned away
Research verse 92:16 →
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى
And the most cautious will be kept away from it,
Research verse 92:17 →
ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
The one who gives his wealth so as to become purified,
Research verse 92:18 →
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ
And there is not for anyone with him any favor that is to be repaid,
Research verse 92:19 →
إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
but only seeking the face of his Lord, the Most High,
Research verse 92:20 →
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ
And indeed, he will surely be content.
Research verse 92:21 →
