قٓ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ
Qāf. By the Qur’ān, full of excellence,
Research verse 50:1 →
بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
Rather, they were astonished that a warner came to them from among themselves; so the deniers said, “This is a strange thing.”
Research verse 50:2 →
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌ
“When we have died and become dust—this is a far‑fetched return.”
Research verse 50:3 →
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ
We have indeed known what the earth takes away from them, and with Us is a preserving record.
Research verse 50:4 →
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
Rather, they have denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused, unsettled state.
Research verse 50:5 →
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
So have they not considered the sky above them—how We built it and beautified it, and it has no openings?
Research verse 50:6 →
وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ
And the earth – We have extended it, and We cast into it stabilizing (mountain) masses, and We caused to grow in it, from every kind, a delightful pair.
Research verse 50:7 →
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
As an insight and a reminder for every devoted, returning servant.
Research verse 50:8 →
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ
And We sent down from the sky a blessed water, then by it We caused gardens and the grain of the harvest to grow.
Research verse 50:9 →
وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
And the date-palms, tall, having clustered emerging fruit.
Research verse 50:10 →
رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ
As provision for the servants, and We gave life thereby to a dead town; just like that is the coming‑out.
Research verse 50:11 →
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
Before them, the people of Noah, and the companions of the well, and Thamud denied.
Research verse 50:12 →
وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍ
And ʿĀd, and Pharaoh, and the brothers of Lot,
Research verse 50:13 →
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ — each one denied the messengers, so My warning became true.
Research verse 50:14 →
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
So were We worn out by the first creation? Rather, they are in a confusion regarding a new creation.
Research verse 50:15 →
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
And indeed We created the human being, and We know what his self quietly suggests within him, and We are nearer to him than the cord of the neck-vein.
Research verse 50:16 →
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
When the two receivers receive, on the right and on the left, one seated.
Research verse 50:17 →
مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
He does not emit any speech but that there is, with him, a watchful one, ever‑ready.
Research verse 50:18 →
وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
And the stupor of death came with the truth; that is what you used to turn aside from.
Research verse 50:19 →
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ
And the Trumpet has been blown; that is the Day of the Threat.
Research verse 50:20 →
وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
And every soul has come; with it is a driver and a witness.
Research verse 50:21 →
لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
You were certainly in heedlessness of this, so We removed your covering from you, and so your sight today is sharp.
Research verse 50:22 →
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ
And his companion will say, “This is what is with me, all‑ready.”
Research verse 50:23 →
أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
“Cast into Hell every excessively-covering, obstinate one.”
Research verse 50:24 →
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
one excessively withholding of good, transgressing, and causing doubt.
Research verse 50:25 →
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ
the one who made, along with Allah, another god; so cast him into the intense punishment.
Research verse 50:26 →
قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
His companion will say, “Our Lord, I did not cause him to transgress; rather, he was in far‑reaching error.”
Research verse 50:27 →
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
He said, “Do not dispute in My presence, for I had already sent ahead to you the threat.”
Research verse 50:28 →
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
The statement is not changed with Me, and I am not one who greatly wrongs the servants.
Research verse 50:29 →
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ
The Day We say to Hell, “Have you been filled?” and it says, “Is there any increase?”
Research verse 50:30 →
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
And the Garden was brought near to those who are mindful, not [any] distant [thing],
Research verse 50:31 →
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
This is what you are promised—for every frequent returner, every diligent keeper.
Research verse 50:32 →
مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ
whoever feared the All-Merciful in the unseen and came with a turning heart.
Research verse 50:33 →
ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ
“Enter it in peace; that is the Day of abiding.”
Research verse 50:34 →
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
For them is whatever they will therein, and with Us there is an increase.
Research verse 50:35 →
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
And how many a generation before them We destroyed, who were stronger than them in force, and so they bored through the lands—was there any escape?
Research verse 50:36 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
Indeed, in that is surely a reminder for whoever has a heart, or casts the hearing while he is a witness.
Research verse 50:37 →
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
And We have certainly created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, and no fatigue has touched Us at all.
Research verse 50:38 →
فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ
So endure what they say, and glorify with the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the setting.
Research verse 50:39 →
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
And during the night, then glorify Him, and [also] at the backs of the prostrations.
Research verse 50:40 →
وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
And listen on the Day when the caller will call out from a place close by,
Research verse 50:41 →
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ
The Day they hear the Cry in truth – that is the Day of the Emergence.
Research verse 50:42 →
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ
Indeed, it is We — We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the return.
Research verse 50:43 →
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
The Day the earth splits open away from them, [and they come out] swiftly; that is a gathering easy for Us.
Research verse 50:44 →
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them as a compeller. So remind, by the Qur’an, whoever fears My warning.
