يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, do not go ahead in front of Allah and His messenger, and be wary of Allah; indeed, Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Research verse 49:1 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ
O you who have attained trust/security, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak out loudly to him in speech as the loud speaking of some of you to others, lest your deeds be nullified while you are not aware.
Research verse 49:2 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱمْتَحَنَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
Indeed, those who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah – those are the ones whose hearts Allah has put to the test for mindfulness (of Him). For them is forgiveness and a tremendous reward.
Research verse 49:3 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَآءِ ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Indeed, those who call out to you from behind the chambers—most of them do not reason.
Research verse 49:4 →
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ صَبَرُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And if they had endured until you came out to them, it would have been better for them; and Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
Research verse 49:5 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِن جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ أَن تُصِيبُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَٰدِمِينَ
O you who have attained faith, if a deviator comes to you with a report, then clarify, lest you strike a people in ignorance and then become, over what you have done, regretful.
Research verse 49:6 →
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِى كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ وَزَيَّنَهُۥ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكُفْرَ وَٱلْفُسُوقَ وَٱلْعِصْيَانَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ
And know that within you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to comply with you in much of the matter, you would surely fall into hardship; but Allah has made faith beloved to you and has adorned it in your hearts, and He has made detestable to you the covering-over (of truth), the defiantly departing, and the disobedience. Those – they are the ones who are rightly guided.
Research verse 49:7 →
فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَنِعْمَةً وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
As a bounty from Allah and a pleasant favor; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
Research verse 49:8 →
وَإِن طَآئِفَتَانِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِنۢ بَغَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى تَبْغِى حَتَّىٰ تَفِىٓءَ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِن فَآءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ
And if two groups from among the believers mutually fight, then set things right between them. But if one of the two oversteps against the other, then fight the one that is overstepping until it returns back to Allah’s command. Then if it has returned, set things right between them with justice, and be strictly just; indeed, Allah loves those who act with strict justice.
Research verse 49:9 →
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
The believers are only brothers, so set things right between your two brothers, and be wary of Allah so that you may be shown mercy.
Research verse 49:10 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَآءٌ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُنَّ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا۟ بِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِ بِئْسَ ٱلِٱسْمُ ٱلْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
O you who have attained faith, let no people mock a people; it may well be that they are better than them. And let no women [mock] women; it may well be that they are better than them. And do not fault-findingly stab at your own selves, and do not hurl [at one another] by titles. How vile is the designation: “deviant outrage” after faith! And whoever does not turn back, then those – they are the ones who do wrong.
Research verse 49:11 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ ٱلظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا۟ وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O you who have attained faith, keep away from much conjecture; indeed, some conjecture is an offence. And do not probe (into others), and let not some of you speak against others in their absence. Would any one of you love to eat the flesh of his brother, dead? You would loathe it. So be wary of Allah; indeed, Allah is ever-returning (to those who return), ever-merciful.
Research verse 49:12 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ
O people, We have indeed created you from a male and a female, and We have made you into communities and clans so that you may come to recognize one another. Indeed, the most honored of you, in the presence of Allah, is the one most guarded (in wary mindfulness). Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
Research verse 49:13 →
قَالَتِ ٱلْأَعْرَابُ ءَامَنَّا قُل لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قُولُوٓا۟ أَسْلَمْنَا وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ ٱلْإِيمَٰنُ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَإِن تُطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ لَا يَلِتْكُم مِّنْ أَعْمَٰلِكُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
The desert‑dwellers said, “We have come to trust.” Say, “You have not come to trust; rather say, ‘We have yielded,’ for the trust has not yet entered into your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His messenger, He will not diminish you in anything of your deeds. Indeed, Allah is Ever‑Covering (of faults), Ever‑Merciful.”
Research verse 49:14 →
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتَابُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ
The believers are only those who have trusted in Allah and His Messenger, then did not fall into doubt, and strove with their wealth and their (own) lives in the path of Allah; those – they are the truthful.
Research verse 49:15 →
قُلْ أَتُعَلِّمُونَ ٱللَّهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Say, “Are you informing Allah about your judgment‑way, while Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth? And Allah is, of every thing, all‑knowing.”
Research verse 49:16 →
يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا۟ قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا۟ عَلَىَّ إِسْلَٰمَكُم بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَىٰكُمْ لِلْإِيمَٰنِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
They count it as a favor upon you that they have submitted. Say, “Do not count your submission as a favor upon me; rather, it is Allah who counts it as a favor upon you that He has guided you to secure faith, if you are truthful.”
Research verse 49:17 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Indeed, Allah knows the hidden (realities) of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is all‑seeing of what you do.
Research verse 49:18 →
