وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوًا
By those that scatter [things] in scattering.
Research verse 51:1 →
فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًا
And by those that carry a burden,
Research verse 51:2 →
فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرًا
and by those that run/flow with ease,
Research verse 51:3 →
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا
and so, those who distribute a matter,
Research verse 51:4 →
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
Indeed, what you are promised is surely true.
Research verse 51:5 →
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
And indeed, the Judgment will surely fall.
Research verse 51:6 →
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
And by the sky, possessor of interwoven tracks.
Research verse 51:7 →
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
Indeed, you are surely in a differing speech.
Research verse 51:8 →
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
Turned away from it is the one who has been turned away.
Research verse 51:9 →
قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
Ruined are the conjecturers,
Research verse 51:10 →
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
those who are, in a covering, inattentive.
Research verse 51:11 →
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
They ask, “When is the Day of Judgment?”
Research verse 51:12 →
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
The Day when they are being tried upon the Fire,
Research verse 51:13 →
ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
“Taste your ordeal; this is what you used to hasten for.”
Research verse 51:14 →
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Indeed, the ones who are mindful (of protection) are in gardens and springs,
Research verse 51:15 →
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
taking what their Lord has brought to them; indeed, they had been, before that, doers of good.
Research verse 51:16 →
كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
They used to sleep but little of the night,
Research verse 51:17 →
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
and in the pre-dawn times they, themselves, seek covering-forgiveness.
Research verse 51:18 →
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
And in their wealth there was a due share for the asker and the deprived.
Research verse 51:19 →
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
And on the earth are signs for those who are certain.
Research verse 51:20 →
وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
And in your own selves—will you not then perceive?
Research verse 51:21 →
وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
And in the sky is your provision, and that which you are promised.
Research verse 51:22 →
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
So by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, indeed it is surely the truth, just like the fact that you do speak.
Research verse 51:23 →
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
Has the account of Abraham’s honored guests come to you?
Research verse 51:24 →
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
When they entered upon him and said, “Peace,” he said, “Peace — [you are] a people unfamiliar.”
Research verse 51:25 →
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
So he slipped away to his people, then came with a fat calf.
Research verse 51:26 →
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
So he brought it near to them and said, “Will you not eat?”
Research verse 51:27 →
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
Then he sensed fear from them; they said, “Do not fear,” and they gave him good news of a knowledgeable boy.
Research verse 51:28 →
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
So his wife came forward in a cry, then struck her face and said, “An old barren woman!”
Research verse 51:29 →
قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
They said, “Just so has your Lord said; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing.”
Research verse 51:30 →
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
He said, “So what is your concern, O you the ones sent?”
Research verse 51:31 →
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
They said, “Indeed, we have been sent to a people who are criminals.”
Research verse 51:32 →
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
so that We may send upon them stones from clay,
Research verse 51:33 →
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
marked out, with your Lord, for the extravagant ones.
Research verse 51:34 →
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
So We brought out whoever had been in it of the believers.
Research verse 51:35 →
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
So We did not find within it except a single household from among those who submit.
Research verse 51:36 →
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
And We left within it a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
Research verse 51:37 →
وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
And in Moses [too], when We sent him to Pharaoh with a manifest authority.
Research verse 51:38 →
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
So he turned away with his power and said, “A magician or one veiled (in mind).”
Research verse 51:39 →
فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
So We seized him and his forces, then We hurled them into the sea, while he was one who had incurred blame.
Research verse 51:40 →
وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
And in ʿĀd [was a sign], when We sent upon them the sterile wind.
Research verse 51:41 →
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
It leaves nothing of anything it comes upon without making it like decayed remains.
Research verse 51:42 →
وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
And in Thamud [was a sign], when it was said to them, “Enjoy [yourselves] until a time.”
Research verse 51:43 →
فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
So they exceeded all bounds regarding the directive of their Lord, and the blast seized them while they were looking on.
Research verse 51:44 →
فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
So they were not able [to offer] any standing, and they were not ones who could help [themselves].
Research verse 51:45 →
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ
And the people of Noah before—indeed, they had been a people who deviate (from bounds).
Research verse 51:46 →
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
And the sky – We built it with [Our] power, and indeed We are surely ones of vast capacity.
Research verse 51:47 →
وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ
And the earth We spread out, so how excellent are We as arrangers.
Research verse 51:48 →
وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
And of every thing We created [it] as two paired kinds, so that you may remember.
Research verse 51:49 →
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
So flee towards Allah; indeed, I am to you, from Him, a clear warner.
Research verse 51:50 →
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
And do not set up, along with Allah, another god. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
Research verse 51:51 →
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
In just this way, no messenger ever came to those before them but that they said, “(He is) a magician or one possessed.”
Research verse 51:52 →
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Did they enjoin one another to this? Rather, they are an overstepping people.
Research verse 51:53 →
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
So turn away from them; then you are not one to be blamed.
Research verse 51:54 →
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And remind, for indeed the reminder benefits the believers.
Research verse 51:55 →
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
And I did not create the jinn and humankind except so that they serve [Me].
Research verse 51:56 →
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
I do not desire from them any provision, nor do I desire that they should feed Me.
Research verse 51:57 →
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
Indeed, Allah—He is the Ever‑Provider, possessor of strength, the firm.
Research verse 51:58 →
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
So indeed, for those who have done wrong there is a share like the share of their companions; so let them not seek to hasten it.
Research verse 51:59 →
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
So ruin is for those who covered [the truth], because of their Day which they are promised.
