كٓهيعٓصٓ
Kaf. Ha. Ya. ‘Ayn. Sad.
Research verse 19:1 →
ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ
A recounting of the mercy of your Lord to His servant, Zakariyya.
Research verse 19:2 →
إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّا
when he called his Lord with a hidden calling
Research verse 19:3 →
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
He said, “My Lord, indeed the bone has weakened from me, and the head has flared up with grey hair, and I have not been, with my calling upon You, my Lord, wretched.”
Research verse 19:4 →
وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا
And indeed I have feared the heirs after me, and my wife has been barren, so grant me from Your very presence a protecting ally.
Research verse 19:5 →
يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
who will inherit me and inherit from the house of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, one approved.
Research verse 19:6 →
يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا
“O Zakariyya, indeed We bring you joyful news of a boy—his name is Yaḥyā; We have not made, for him, any namesake before.”
Research verse 19:7 →
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا
He said, “My Lord, how can there be a boy for me, when my wife has been barren and I have reached, from old age, decrepitude?”
Research verse 19:8 →
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًٔا
He said, “So it is.” He said, “Your Lord: it is easy for Me, for I have created you before, when you were not a thing.”
Research verse 19:9 →
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا
He said, “My Lord, appoint for me a sign.” He said, “Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, while being sound.”
Research verse 19:10 →
فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
So he went out to his people from the sanctuary, then indicated to them that you must glorify [God] morning and evening.
Research verse 19:11 →
يَٰيَحْيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا
“O Yaḥyā, take hold of the Book with strength.” And We granted him discernment while [still] a boy.
Research verse 19:12 →
وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا
And compassion from Us, and purity; and he was one who was ever-conscious [of God].
Research verse 19:13 →
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
And [We made him] devotedly good toward his parents, and he was not an overbearing, defiant one.
Research verse 19:14 →
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
And peace upon him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he is raised up alive.
Research verse 19:15 →
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا
And recall in the Book Mary, when she withdrew away from her people to an eastern place.
Research verse 19:16 →
فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا
So she took, apart from them, a concealment; then We sent to her Our spirit, and it appeared to her as a balanced human.
Research verse 19:17 →
قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا
She said, “Indeed, I seek protection in the All-Merciful from you, if you are one who is mindful (of God).”
Research verse 19:18 →
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًا زَكِيًّا
He said, “I am only a messenger of your Lord, so that I may grant you a pure boy.”
Research verse 19:19 →
قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا
She said, “How can there be for me a boy, when no human has touched me, and I have not been one who seeks (sexual) desire?”
Research verse 19:20 →
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا
He said, “Just so. Your Lord has said, ‘It is easy for Me, so that We may make him a sign for the people and a mercy from Us.’ And it has been a decided matter.”
Research verse 19:21 →
فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا
So she conceived him, then she withdrew with him to a far place.
Research verse 19:22 →
فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا
So the labor pains drove her to the trunk of the date‑palm. She said, “If only I had died before this and had been a thing forgotten, left out of mind.”
Research verse 19:23 →
فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا
Then he called to her from below her, “Do not grieve; your Lord has set beneath you a running course.”
Research verse 19:24 →
وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا
And shake toward yourself the trunk of the palm tree; it will make fresh, moist fruit fall upon you, fully ripened.
Research verse 19:25 →
فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًا فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّا
So eat and drink and let your eye be cooled. Then if you see any human from among mankind, say, "Indeed I have vowed to the All-Merciful *ṣawman*, so I will not speak today to any human.
Research verse 19:26 →
فَأَتَتْ بِهِۦ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُۥ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْـًٔا فَرِيًّا
So she came with him to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have indeed brought something outrageous.”
Research verse 19:27 →
يَٰٓأُخْتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا
“O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, and your mother was not one who sought (sexual) misconduct.”
Research verse 19:28 →
فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا
So she gestured toward him. They said, “How can we converse with one who has been in the cradle, a small child?”
Research verse 19:29 →
قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّا
He said, “Indeed, I am a servant of Allah; He has granted me the Writing, and has made me a prophet.”
Research verse 19:30 →
وَجَعَلَنِى مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَٰنِى بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّا
And He has made me a source of blessing wherever I may be, and has instructed me with the prayer and the zakah for as long as I remain alive.
Research verse 19:31 →
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا
And [He has made me] devoted toward my mother, and He has not made me an overbearing, miserable one.
Research verse 19:32 →
وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَىَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا
And the peace is upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised up alive.
Research verse 19:33 →
ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ
That is Jesus, son of Mary — the statement of the Truth, about which they are in doubt.
Research verse 19:34 →
مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
It was never for Allah to take any child. Glory be to Him! When He decides a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it comes to be.
Research verse 19:35 →
وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
And indeed, Allah is my Nurturing Lord and your Nurturing Lord, so serve Him; this is a straight, firmly‑established path.
Research verse 19:36 →
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Then the factions differed among themselves, so ruin to those who covered [the truth], from the witnessing of a tremendous Day.
Research verse 19:37 →
أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
Make them hear and make them see on the Day they come to Us; but the darkeners (wrongdoers) today are in evident straying.
Research verse 19:38 →
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter has been brought to a conclusion, while they are in heedlessness and they are not believing.
Research verse 19:39 →
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ
Indeed, it is We — We who inherit the earth and whoever is upon it, and to Us they are returned.
Research verse 19:40 →
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
And mention in the Book Abraham; indeed, he was an intensely truthful one, a prophet.
Research verse 19:41 →
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنكَ شَيْـًٔا
When he said to his father, “My dear father, why do you serve what does not hear, and does not see, and does not avail you in anything?”
Research verse 19:42 →
يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّى قَدْ جَآءَنِى مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓ أَهْدِكَ صِرَٰطًا سَوِيًّا
O my father, indeed knowledge has certainly come to me of that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to a level path.
Research verse 19:43 →
يَٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَصِيًّا
O my father, do not worship the Satan; indeed, the Satan has always been rebellious toward the All-Merciful.
Research verse 19:44 →
يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَٰنِ وَلِيًّا
O my father, I am indeed afraid that a punishment from the All-Merciful might touch you, and then you would become an ally to Satan.
Research verse 19:45 →
قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ ءَالِهَتِى يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ وَٱهْجُرْنِى مَلِيًّا
He said, “Are you one who turns away from my gods, O Abraham? If you do not stop, I will surely stone you, so leave me for a long while.”
Research verse 19:46 →
قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكَ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِى حَفِيًّا
He said, “Peace be upon you. I will soon seek covering‑forgiveness for you from my Lord; indeed, He has always been toward me most attentive and caring.”
Research verse 19:47 →
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّا
And I will withdraw from you and from what you call upon apart from Allah, and I will call upon my Lord; it may be that I will not be wretched through my calling upon my Lord.
Research verse 19:48 →
فَلَمَّا ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا
So when he withdrew from them and from what they serve apart from Allah, We granted to him Isaac and Jacob, and each one We made a prophet.
Research verse 19:49 →
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا
And We granted them, out of Our mercy, and We made for them a highly exalted tongue of truth.
Research verse 19:50 →
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was one made pure, and he was a messenger and a prophet.
Research verse 19:51 →
وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَٰهُ نَجِيًّا
And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and We brought him near as one in intimate confidential discourse.
Research verse 19:52 →
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ نَبِيًّا
And We granted him, out of Our mercy, his brother Aaron as a prophet.
Research verse 19:53 →
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولًا نَّبِيًّا
And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to the promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet.
Research verse 19:54 →
وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرْضِيًّا
And he used to instruct his household to the prayer and the zakah, and he was, with his Lord, one approved.
Research verse 19:55 →
وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِدْرِيسَ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّا
And mention in the Book, Idris; indeed, he was a most-truthful one, a prophet.
Research verse 19:56 →
وَرَفَعْنَٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا
And We raised him to an exalted standing-place.
Research verse 19:57 →
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا
Those are the ones upon whom Allah bestowed pleasant good (favor) from among the prophets, from the offspring of Adam, and from those We carried along with Noah, and from the offspring of Abraham and Israel, and from those whom We guided and selected. Whenever the signs of the All-Merciful are recited to them, they fall down, prostrating and weeping.
Research verse 19:58 →
فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
Then there succeeded after them a later generation who wasted the prayer and followed the lusts, so they will soon encounter deviation.
Research verse 19:59 →
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْـًٔا
Except whoever turned back, and trusted, and did what is sound—then those are the ones who enter the Garden, and they are not darkened in anything.
Research verse 19:60 →
جَنَّٰتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِى وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَأْتِيًّا
Gardens of lasting settlement which the All-Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen; indeed, His promise has always been one to be arrived at.
Research verse 19:61 →
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلَّا سَلَٰمًا وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا
They do not hear therein any idle talk—only peace—and theirs is their provision therein, morning and evening.
Research verse 19:62 →
تِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِى نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّا
That is the garden which We cause, from among Our servants, whoever was ever‑cautious (God‑wary) to inherit.
Research verse 19:63 →
وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ لَهُۥ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّا
And we do not come down except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us and what is between that, and your Lord has never been one who forgets.
Research verse 19:64 →
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَٱعْبُدْهُ وَٱصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيًّا
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them; so serve Him, and endure for His service. Do you know for Him any namesake?
Research verse 19:65 →
وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا
And the human says, “Is it that when I have died, I will indeed surely be brought out alive?”
Research verse 19:66 →
أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًٔا
Does the human not remember that We created him before, when he was not a thing?
Research verse 19:67 →
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّا
So, by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will surely make them present, all around Hell, kneeling.
Research verse 19:68 →
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عِتِيًّا
Then We will indeed pull out, from every faction, those who are most intense in defiance against the All-Merciful.
Research verse 19:69 →
ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيًّا
Then, indeed, We are most knowing of those who are more suited to it for exposure to its heat.
Research verse 19:70 →
وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّا
And there is none of you except that he will arrive at it; that has been a binding decree upon your Lord, decisively settled.
Research verse 19:71 →
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا
Then We will deliver those who were conscious (of Us), and We will leave the darkeners/oppressors therein, fallen on their knees.
Research verse 19:72 →
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّا
And when Our signs are recited to them as clear [ones], those who have covered [the truth] say to those who have attained trust, “Which of the two groups is better in station and more excellent in council-gathering?”
Research verse 19:73 →
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَٰثًا وَرِءْيًا
And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were better in furnishings and in sight.
Research verse 19:74 →
قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَدًّا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا
Say, “Whoever is in the misguidance – then let the All‑Merciful extend for him an extension – until, when they see what they are promised, whether the punishment or the Hour, then they will know who is worse in position and weaker in forces.”
Research verse 19:75 →
وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ هُدًى وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا
And Allah increases those who have found guidance in guidance; and the enduring, sound deeds are better, with your Lord, in recompense and better in (ultimate) return.
Research verse 19:76 →
أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا
So have you considered the one who covered up Our signs and said, “I will surely be given wealth and children”?
Research verse 19:77 →
أَطَّلَعَ ٱلْغَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
Has he peered into the unseen, or has he taken with the All-Merciful a covenant?
Research verse 19:78 →
كَلَّا سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ مَدًّا
No indeed! We will soon write down what he says, and We will stretch out for him, from the punishment, an outstretching.
Research verse 19:79 →
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًا
And We will inherit from him what he says, and he will come to Us alone.
Research verse 19:80 →
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمْ عِزًّا
And they have taken, apart from Allah, gods so that they may be for them a strength.
Research verse 19:81 →
كَلَّا سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّا
No indeed! They will soon disavow their worship of them and will become against them an adversary.
Research verse 19:82 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّا
Have you not seen that We have sent the devils upon the concealers [of truth], driving them with a vehement driving?
Research verse 19:83 →
فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا
So do not hasten concerning them; We are only counting for them a counting.
Research verse 19:84 →
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًا
The Day We gather the God-conscious to the All-Merciful as a delegation.
Research verse 19:85 →
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًا
and We will drive the criminals to Hell as a thirsty herd.
Research verse 19:86 →
لَّا يَمْلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
They will not possess the intercession, except one who has taken, with the All-Merciful, a covenant.
Research verse 19:87 →
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا
And they said, “The All-Merciful has taken a child.”
Research verse 19:88 →
لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِدًّا
You have certainly brought something monstrous.
Research verse 19:89 →
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلْجِبَالُ هَدًّا
The heavens nearly burst apart from it, and the earth splits, and the mountains collapse in a shattering.
Research verse 19:90 →
أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا
because they have called for the Most Merciful a child.
Research verse 19:91 →
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
And it does not befit the All-Merciful to take a child.
Research verse 19:92 →
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِى ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًا
There is none in the heavens and the earth except that he comes to the All-Merciful as a servant.
Research verse 19:93 →
لَّقَدْ أَحْصَىٰهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّا
He has indeed enumerated them and counted them out, counting.
Research verse 19:94 →
وَكُلُّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فَرْدًا
And each one of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone.
Research verse 19:95 →
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وُدًّا
Indeed, those who have attained trust and done sound deeds – the All-Merciful will soon set up for them loving affection.
Research verse 19:96 →
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا
So indeed We have made it easy by your tongue, so that you may give glad tidings with it to those who are mindful (of God), and warn with it a people of fierce disputation.
Research verse 19:97 →
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًۢا
And how many a generation We destroyed before them: do you sense from them anyone, or hear for them even a faint sound?
Research verse 19:98 →
