سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
Declare the transcendence of the name of your Lord, the Most High,
Research verse 87:1 →
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
The One who created, then made [it] well‑proportioned,
Research verse 87:2 →
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
And the One who measured out, then guided.
Research verse 87:3 →
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
And the One who brings out the pasture,
Research verse 87:4 →
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
then He made it dried-out debris, darkened.
Research verse 87:5 →
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
We will make you recite, so you will not forget,
Research verse 87:6 →
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
Except what Allah wills. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden.
Research verse 87:7 →
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
And We will ease you for the easiest [way].
Research verse 87:8 →
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
So remind, if the reminder is to benefit.
Research verse 87:9 →
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
Soon will remember it the one who fears.
Research verse 87:10 →
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
And the most wretched will keep away from it,
Research verse 87:11 →
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
who will be exposed to the greatest Fire,
Research verse 87:12 →
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
then he will neither die in it nor live.
Research verse 87:13 →
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Indeed, he has succeeded who lets himself become pure,
Research verse 87:14 →
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
and remembers the name of his Lord, then performs the prayer.
Research verse 87:15 →
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
No; you give precedence to the nearer life.
Research verse 87:16 →
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
while the later [life] is better and more enduring.
Research verse 87:17 →
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Indeed, this is surely in the former scriptures,
Research verse 87:18 →
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
the written pages of Abraham and Moses
