إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
When the sky is split apart,
Research verse 82:1 →
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
And when the stars are scattered apart,
Research verse 82:2 →
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
And when the seas are made to burst forth,
Research verse 82:3 →
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
And when the graves are upheaved,
Research verse 82:4 →
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
Every soul will know what it sent ahead and what it left behind.
Research verse 82:5 →
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
O human being, what has deluded you away from your Lord, the Noble?
Research verse 82:6 →
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
the One who created you, then made you well‑proportioned, then set you in due balance,
Research verse 82:7 →
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
In whatever configuration He willed, He composed you.
Research verse 82:8 →
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
No indeed! Rather, you are denying the Judgment.
Research verse 82:9 →
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
And indeed, there are surely guardians over you,
Research verse 82:10 →
كِرَامًا كَٰتِبِينَ
honourable, writing (ones),
Research verse 82:11 →
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
they know whatever you do.
Research verse 82:12 →
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
Indeed, the devotedly good will surely be in bliss.
Research verse 82:13 →
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
And indeed, the wicked are surely in a blazing fire.
Research verse 82:14 →
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
They will be exposed to it on the Day of Judgment.
Research verse 82:15 →
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
and they will not be absent from it.
Research verse 82:16 →
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
And what has made you realize what the Day of the Judgment is?
Research verse 82:17 →
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Then what can make you realize what the Day of the Judgment is?
Research verse 82:18 →
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
A Day when no self will control anything for any self, and the affair on that Day will belong to God.
