طسٓمٓ
Ṭā Sīn Mīm.
Research verse 26:1 →
تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
These are the signs of the clarifying Book.
Research verse 26:2 →
لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
It may be that you are destroying yourself that they are not becoming believers.
Research verse 26:3 →
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ
If We should will, We would send down upon them from the sky a sign, so their necks would remain to it humbled.
Research verse 26:4 →
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
And no reminder comes to them from the All-Merciful, newly sent, but they are from it turning away.
Research verse 26:5 →
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
So they have indeed denied, and soon there will come to them the reports of what they used to mock.
Research verse 26:6 →
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
Have they then not looked to the earth: how much We have caused to grow in it of every generous pair?
Research verse 26:7 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign, while most of them have not been believers.
Research verse 26:8 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:9 →
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And when your Lord called out to Moses: “Come to the people who are darkly unjust.”
Research verse 26:10 →
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ
the people of Pharaoh – will they then not shield themselves?
Research verse 26:11 →
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ
He said, “My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me.”
Research verse 26:12 →
وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ
and my chest becomes tight, and my tongue does not move freely, so send [a message] to Aaron.
Research verse 26:13 →
وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
And there is against me a guilt, so I fear that they will kill me.
Research verse 26:14 →
قَالَ كَلَّا فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
He said, “No indeed! So go, both of you, with Our signs; surely We are with you, listening.”
Research verse 26:15 →
فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
So go both of you to Pharaoh, and say, “Indeed, we are a messenger of the Lord of all the realms.”
Research verse 26:16 →
أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
that: “Send the Children of Israel along with us.”
Research verse 26:17 →
قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
He said, “Did we not bring you up among us as a newborn, and you stayed among us, from your lifetime, for years?”
Research verse 26:18 →
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And you committed your deed which you committed, while you were among the deniers.
Research verse 26:19 →
قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
He said, “So I did it then, while I was among those who are astray.”
Research verse 26:20 →
فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
So I fled from you when I feared you; then my Lord granted me discernment in judgment and made me among the messengers.
Research verse 26:21 →
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
And is that a blessing you are counting to me—that you have subjugated the Children of Israel?
Research verse 26:22 →
قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Pharaoh said, “And what is the Lord of the worlds?”
Research verse 26:23 →
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
He said, “(He is) Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, if you are ones of certainty.”
Research verse 26:24 →
قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ
He said to those around him, “Will you not listen?”
Research verse 26:25 →
قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
He said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your earliest forefathers."

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ
He said, “Indeed, your envoy who has been sent to you is surely deranged.”
Research verse 26:27 →
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
He said, “(He is) Lord of the east and the west and whatever is between them, if you are using your reason.”

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ
He said, “If you indeed take a god other than me, I will most surely make you [one] of those confined in prison.”
Research verse 26:29 →
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍ مُّبِينٍ
He said, “Even if I were to come to you with a clear thing?”
Research verse 26:30 →
قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
He said, “Then bring it, if you are among the truthful.”
Research verse 26:31 →
فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
So he threw his staff, and suddenly it was a clear serpent.
Research verse 26:32 →
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ
And he pulled out his hand, and suddenly it was white for the onlookers.
Research verse 26:33 →
قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
He said to the assembly around him, “Indeed, this one is surely a knowledgeable magician.”
Research verse 26:34 →
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
He wants to bring you out from your land by his sorcery, so what do you command?
Research verse 26:35 →
قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
They said, “Put him and his brother off for a while, and dispatch in the cities gatherers.”
Research verse 26:36 →
يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ
who will come to you with every intensely-practicing, knowledgeable magician.
Research verse 26:37 →
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
So the magicians were gathered for the appointed time of a known day.
Research verse 26:38 →
وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
And it was said to the people, “Are you going to gather together?”
Research verse 26:39 →
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ
so that we may follow the magicians, if it is they who are the ones prevailing.
Research verse 26:40 →
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ
So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, “Will there indeed be for us a reward if we are the ones who prevail?”
Research verse 26:41 →
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
He said, “Yes — and indeed, you will then surely be among those brought near.”
Research verse 26:42 →
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
Moses said to them, “Throw down whatever you are going to throw.”
Research verse 26:43 →
فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ
So they threw down their ropes and their staffs and said, “By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are the ones who will prevail.”
Research verse 26:44 →
فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was snatching up what they were perverting.
Research verse 26:45 →
فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ
So the magicians were cast down, prostrating.
Research verse 26:46 →
قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
They said, “We have trusted in / committed ourselves to the Lord of all realms.”
Research verse 26:47 →
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
The Lord of Moses and Aaron.
Research verse 26:48 →
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
He said, “Have you trusted in him before I give you leave? Indeed, he is surely your great one who taught you the sorcery. So you will certainly know: I will most surely cut off your hands and your feet in alternation, and I will most surely crucify you all together.”
Research verse 26:49 →
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
They said, “No harm; indeed, to our Lord we are returning.”
Research verse 26:50 →
إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, we long that our Lord will cover for us our misdeeds, since we have been the first of the believers.
Research verse 26:51 →
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
And We communicated to Moses: “Set out with My servants; indeed, you are surely to be followed.”
Research verse 26:52 →
فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
So Pharaoh sent in the towns gatherers,
Research verse 26:53 →
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ
“Indeed, these are surely a small, few group.”
Research verse 26:54 →
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
And indeed, they are truly angering us.
Research verse 26:55 →
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ
and indeed, we are all on guard.
Research verse 26:56 →
فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
So We brought them out from gardens and springs
Research verse 26:57 →
وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ
and treasures, and a noble station,
Research verse 26:58 →
كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
Just so; and We made the Children of Israel inherit it.
Research verse 26:59 →
فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ
So they pursued them as they were entering into sunrise.
Research verse 26:60 →
فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
Then when the two multitudes came to see one another, the companions of Moses said, “Indeed, we are surely to be overtaken.”
Research verse 26:61 →
قَالَ كَلَّآ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
He said, “No indeed! Surely my Lord is with me; He will soon guide me.”
Research verse 26:62 →
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
So We inspired to Moses, “Strike the sea with your staff,” then it split, and each section became like a tremendous mountain.
Research verse 26:63 →
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
And We brought the others near there.
Research verse 26:64 →
وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
And We delivered Moses and all those who were with him.
Research verse 26:65 →
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
Then We caused the others to drown.
Research verse 26:66 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign; and most of them had not been believers.
Research verse 26:67 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:68 →
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
And recite to them the account of Abraham.
Research verse 26:69 →
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
When he said to his father and his people, “What is it that you serve?”
Research verse 26:70 →
قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ
They said, “We serve idols, so we remain devotedly stationed to them.”
Research verse 26:71 →
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
He said, “Do they hear you when you call?”
Research verse 26:72 →
أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?
Research verse 26:73 →
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
They said, “Rather, we found our fathers doing likewise.”
Research verse 26:74 →
قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
He said, “So have you considered what you had been serving,
Research verse 26:75 →
أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ
you and your earliest forefathers,
Research verse 26:76 →
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
So indeed, they are an enemy to me—except the Lord of the worlds,
Research verse 26:77 →
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
The One who created me, and so it is He who guides me,
Research verse 26:78 →
وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ
And [it is] He who provides me with food and gives me drink.
Research verse 26:79 →
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
And when I fall ill, then He is the One who heals me.
Research verse 26:80 →
وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
And [He is] the One who causes me to die, then brings me to life,
Research verse 26:81 →
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
And [He is] the One in whom I hope that He will cover for me my misstep on the Day of Judgment.
Research verse 26:82 →
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
My Lord, grant me discernment, and join me with the righteous.
Research verse 26:83 →
وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
And grant me a tongue of truth among the later ones.
Research verse 26:84 →
وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
And make me among the inheritors of the Garden of bliss.
Research verse 26:85 →
وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
And forgive my father; indeed, he has been among those who are astray.
Research verse 26:86 →
وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are raised.
Research verse 26:87 →
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ
The Day when neither wealth nor sons will benefit.
Research verse 26:88 →
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
except whoever comes to Allah with a sound, intact heart.
Research verse 26:89 →
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
And the Garden was brought near to those who are mindful (of God).
Research verse 26:90 →
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ
And the Blaze will be laid bare for the deviant ones.
Research verse 26:91 →
وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
And it was said to them, “Where is what you had been worshipping?”
Research verse 26:92 →
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ
apart from Allah? Do they help you, or do they help themselves?
Research verse 26:93 →
فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
Then they will be tumbled into it, they and the deviators,
Research verse 26:94 →
وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ
And the forces of Iblees, all together.
Research verse 26:95 →
قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ
They will say, while they are in it, mutually disputing,
Research verse 26:96 →
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
By Allah, we were indeed in evident misguidance.
Research verse 26:97 →
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
when we made you equal with the Lord of the worlds,
Research verse 26:98 →
وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
And none made us stray except the criminals.
Research verse 26:99 →
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ
So what is [there] for us—no intercessors at all,
Research verse 26:100 →
وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ
and nor any loyal, intimate companion.
Research verse 26:101 →
فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
So if only there were for us a return, then we would be among the believers.
Research verse 26:102 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign, and most of them had not been believers.
Research verse 26:103 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:104 →
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
The people of Noah cried lies to the envoys.
Research verse 26:105 →
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When their brother Noah said to them, “Will you not be conscious (in wary restraint)?”
Research verse 26:106 →
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
Indeed, I am to you a secure messenger.
Research verse 26:107 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah, and obey me.
Research verse 26:108 →
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any reward; my reward is only upon the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 26:109 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah and obey me.
Research verse 26:110 →
قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ
They said, “Shall we believe you, while the most despicable ones have followed you?”
Research verse 26:111 →
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
He said, “And what knowledge do I have of what they had been doing?”
Research verse 26:112 →
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
Their reckoning is only upon my Lord, if you would but sense it.
Research verse 26:113 →
وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And I am not one to drive away the believers.
Research verse 26:114 →
إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
I am nothing but a clear warner.
Research verse 26:115 →
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ
They said, “If you do not cease, O Noah, you will surely be among those who are pelted.”
Research verse 26:116 →
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ
He said, “My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.”
Research verse 26:117 →
فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
So decide between me and between them with a decisive decision, and deliver me and whoever is with me from among the believers.
Research verse 26:118 →
فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
So We delivered him and whoever was with him in the heavily loaded ship.
Research verse 26:119 →
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
Then, afterward, We drowned the remaining ones.
Research verse 26:120 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign, while most of them were not believers.
Research verse 26:121 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:122 →
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
ʿĀd belied the envoys.
Research verse 26:123 →
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When their brother Hūd said to them, “Will you not be conscious (of God)?”
Research verse 26:124 →
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
Indeed, I am to you a secure messenger.
Research verse 26:125 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah, and obey me.
Research verse 26:126 →
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any reward; my reward is only upon the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 26:127 →
أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ
Do you build on every height a sign, [only] to play around?
Research verse 26:128 →
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ
And you take fortified constructions so that you might remain forever?
Research verse 26:129 →
وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ
And when you seize, you seize with overpowering force.
Research verse 26:130 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah and obey me.
Research verse 26:131 →
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
And be wary of the One who has extended you with what you know,
Research verse 26:132 →
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ
He extended you with livestock and sons,
Research verse 26:133 →
وَجَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
and gardens and springs,
Research verse 26:134 →
إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Indeed, I fear for you the correction of a tremendous Day.
Research verse 26:135 →
قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ
They said, “It is all the same to us whether you admonish, or whether you are not among the admonishers.”
Research verse 26:136 →
إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
This is nothing but the character of the former ones.
Research verse 26:137 →
وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
and we are not ones to be punished.
Research verse 26:138 →
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
So they denied him, so We caused them to perish. Indeed, in that is a sign, while most of them were not believers.
Research verse 26:139 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:140 →
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Thamud cried lies to the envoys.
Research verse 26:141 →
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When their brother Ṣāliḥ said to them, “Will you not be conscious (of God)?”
Research verse 26:142 →
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
Indeed, I am to you a secure messenger.
Research verse 26:143 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be conscious of Allah and obey me.
Research verse 26:144 →
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any reward; my reward is only upon the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 26:145 →
أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ
Are you to be left, here in what is present, in security,
Research verse 26:146 →
فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
in gardens and springs,
Research verse 26:147 →
وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ
And crops, and palm trees whose emerging fruit is thick‑clustered.
Research verse 26:148 →
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَٰرِهِينَ
and you carve out from the mountains houses, exultant.
Research verse 26:149 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be conscious of Allah and follow me.
Research verse 26:150 →
وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
And do not obey the command of the extravagant.
Research verse 26:151 →
ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
those who bring ruin in the land and do not set things right
Research verse 26:152 →
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
They said, “You are only one of those under a spell.”
Research verse 26:153 →
مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
You are nothing but a human, like us; so bring a sign, if you are among the truthful.
Research verse 26:154 →
قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
He said, “This is a she‑camel; she has a share of drink, and you have a share of drink, on an appointed day.”
Research verse 26:155 →
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
And do not touch her with any evil, lest the punishment of a tremendous day seize you.
Research verse 26:156 →
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ
Then they mutilated her, and so they entered the morning as ones regretful.
Research verse 26:157 →
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
So the punishment took hold of them. Indeed, in that is a sign, while most of them were not believers.
Research verse 26:158 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:159 →
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
The people of Lot denied the envoys.
Research verse 26:160 →
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When their brother Lot said to them, “Will you not be conscious (in wary restraint)?”
Research verse 26:161 →
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
Indeed, I am to you a secure messenger.
Research verse 26:162 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah, and obey me.
Research verse 26:163 →
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any reward; my reward is only upon the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 26:164 →
أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Do you come to the males from among all the beings?
Research verse 26:165 →
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
And do you leave what your Lord created for you from your pairs? No, you are a people who cross the limits.
Research verse 26:166 →
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ
They said, “If you do not cease, O Lot, you will surely be among those driven out.”
Research verse 26:167 →
قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ
He said, “Indeed, regarding your deed, I am surely among those who loathe.”
Research verse 26:168 →
رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ
My Lord, deliver me and my family from what they are doing.
Research verse 26:169 →
فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
So We delivered him and his people, all together,
Research verse 26:170 →
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
except an old woman, among those who remained behind.
Research verse 26:171 →
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
Then We annihilated the others.
Research verse 26:172 →
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
And We rained upon them a rain, and how bad was the rain of those who had been warned.
Research verse 26:173 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign, while most of them were not believers.
Research verse 26:174 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:175 →
كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers.
Research verse 26:176 →
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When Shuʿayb said to them, “Will you not be conscious (in wary restraint)?”
Research verse 26:177 →
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ
Indeed, I am to you a secure messenger.
Research verse 26:178 →
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
So be wary of Allah and obey me.
Research verse 26:179 →
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any reward; my reward is only upon the Lord of all realms.
Research verse 26:180 →
أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ
Fulfil the measure, and do not be among those who incur loss.
Research verse 26:181 →
وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
And weigh with the straight balance.
Research verse 26:182 →
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
And do not diminish people in their things, and do not roam about in the land as corrupters.
Research verse 26:183 →
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And be wary of the One who created you and the earlier-formed multitude.
Research verse 26:184 →
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ
They said, “You are only one of those overpowered by sorcery.”
Research verse 26:185 →
وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
And you are nothing but a human being like us, and indeed we assume you are surely among the liars.
Research verse 26:186 →
فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
So make fall upon us pieces from the sky, if you are among the truthful.
Research verse 26:187 →
قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
He said, “My Lord is most knowing of what you do.”
Research verse 26:188 →
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
So they denied him, and thereupon the punishment of the Day of the Canopy seized them; indeed, it was the punishment of a tremendous day.
Research verse 26:189 →
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
Indeed, in that is a sign; yet most of them were not believers.
Research verse 26:190 →
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
And indeed, your Lord—He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
Research verse 26:191 →
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And indeed, it is surely a sending‑down from the Lord of the worlds.
Research verse 26:192 →
نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ
The trustworthy spirit has descended with it.
Research verse 26:193 →
عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ
upon your heart, so that you may be among the warners
Research verse 26:194 →
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّ مُّبِينٍ
in a clear, Arabic tongue
Research verse 26:195 →
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And indeed, it is surely in the writings of the former ones.
Research verse 26:196 →
أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
And was it not a sign for them that the knowledgeable ones of the Children of Israel know it?
Research verse 26:197 →
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ
And if We had sent it down upon some of the non-Arabs,
Research verse 26:198 →
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ
then had he recited it to them, they would not have been believers in it.
Research verse 26:199 →
كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
In this way We have made it pass into the hearts of the criminals.
Research verse 26:200 →
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
Research verse 26:201 →
فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
so it comes upon them all of a sudden while they are not aware.
Research verse 26:202 →
فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ
so they will say, “Are we being granted respite?”
Research verse 26:203 →
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
So is it then Our punishment that they are seeking to hasten?
Research verse 26:204 →
أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ سِنِينَ
So have you considered: if We let them enjoy (things) for years,
Research verse 26:205 →
ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ
then there came upon them what they had been promised.
Research verse 26:206 →
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ
It did not avail them, that which they had been allowed to enjoy.
Research verse 26:207 →
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
And We did not bring any town to ruin but that it had its warners.
Research verse 26:208 →
ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ
As a reminder; and We were not ever wrongdoers.
Research verse 26:209 →
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
And it was not the devils that came down with it.
Research verse 26:210 →
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
And it is not fitting for them, nor are they able.
Research verse 26:211 →
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
Indeed, they are surely isolated away from the hearing.
Research verse 26:212 →
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ
So do not call, along with Allah, upon another god, lest you become among the ones subjected to punishment.
Research verse 26:213 →
وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ
And warn your nearest clan.
Research verse 26:214 →
وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And lower your wing for whoever has followed you, from among the believers.
Research verse 26:215 →
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
But if they defy you, then say, “Indeed, I am clear of what you are doing.”
Research verse 26:216 →
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
And entrust yourself to the Mighty, the Compassionate.
Research verse 26:217 →
ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
the One who sees you when you stand up,
Research verse 26:218 →
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ
and your turning about among those who prostrate,
Research verse 26:219 →
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
Indeed, He – He alone – is the All‑Hearing, the All‑Knowing.
Research verse 26:220 →
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
Shall I inform you about whom the devils descend?
Research verse 26:221 →
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
They descend upon every excessive fabricator, sinful.
Research verse 26:222 →
يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَٰذِبُونَ
They cast the hearing, and most of them are liars.
Research verse 26:223 →
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ
And the poets – the deviators follow them.
Research verse 26:224 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
Have you not seen that they wander in every valley,
Research verse 26:225 →
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ
and that they say what they do not do,
Research verse 26:226 →
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
Except those who have believed and done sound deeds and remembered God abundantly and obtained help after they had been wronged. And those who have wronged will soon know to what overturning they will be overturned.
Research verse 26:227 →
