الٓر كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ
Alif Lām Rā. A written decree We have sent down to you, so that you may bring people out from the darknesses into the light, by the leave of their Lord, to the path of the Mighty, the Praiseworthy.
Research verse 14:1 →
ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ
[It is] Allah, the One to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and ruin is for the concealers [of the truth] from a crushing punishment.

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
Those who prefer the present life over the later one, and block [others] from the path of Allah and seek to make it crooked – those are in far‑gone misguidance.
Research verse 14:3 →
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
And We did not send any messenger except with the tongue of his people, so that he might make [matters] clear to them; then Allah lets go astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs: "Bring out your people from the darknesses into the light, and remind them of the days of Allah." Surely in that are signs for every one who greatly endures and is greatly grateful.
Research verse 14:5 →
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
And when Moses said to his people, “Remember Allah’s pleasant favor upon you, when He delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, imposing on you the evil of the torment, and they were slaughtering your sons and letting your women live on; and in that was a tremendous test from your Lord.”
Research verse 14:6 →
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ
And when your Lord made it known: “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you; but if you cover [it in ingratitude], then indeed My punishment is surely severe.”
Research verse 14:7 →
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ
And Moses said, “If you are ungrateful, you and whoever is on the earth all together, then indeed Allah is surely self‑sufficient, praiseworthy.”
Research verse 14:8 →
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ
Has there not come to you the report of those before you: the people of Noah, and ʿĀd, and Thamūd, and those after them—none knows them but Allah? Their messengers came to them with clear evidences, but they put their hands into their mouths and said, “We indeed have covered over / rejected what you have been sent with, and we are indeed, regarding that to which you are calling us, in a doubt that stirs suspicion.”
Research verse 14:9 →
قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Their messengers said, “Is there any doubt about Allah, the Splitter‑open / Originator of the heavens and the earth? He calls you so that He may cover for you some of your tails (i.e., consequences of your trailing deeds) and defer you to a specified term.” They said, “You are nothing but humans like us; you want to bar us from what our fathers used to serve, so bring us an evident authority.”
Research verse 14:10 →
قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Their messengers said to them, “We are nothing but humans like you; but Allah bestows (His) favor upon whom He wills among His servants. And it has not been for us to come to you with any authority except by Allah’s permission; and upon Allah, then, let the believers rely.”
Research verse 14:11 →
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
And what is [the matter] with us that we should not rely upon Allah, while He has guided us to our paths? And we will certainly endure regarding what you cause us to suffer. And upon Allah, then, let those who rely place their reliance.
Research verse 14:12 →
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَا فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And those who covered [the truth] said to their messengers, “We will surely drive you out from our land, or you will surely return into our creed.” So their Lord communicated by inspiration to them, “We will surely cause the wrongdoers to perish.”
Research verse 14:13 →
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِى وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ
And We will surely settle you in the land after them. That is for whoever feared My standing and feared My warning.
Research verse 14:14 →
وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
And they sought an opening [for decisive judgment], and every overbearing, obstinate one was thwarted.
Research verse 14:15 →
مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍ صَدِيدٍ
Beyond him is Hell, and he is given drink from water of festering discharge.
Research verse 14:16 →
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ
He will gulp it down, yet he can scarcely make it pass; and death comes to him from every place, but he is not one who dies; and beyond that for him is a harsh torment.
Research verse 14:17 →
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ
The likeness of those who have denied their Lord: their deeds are like ashes which the wind has been made fierce against on a stormy day; they are not able, from what they have earned, to obtain anything. That is the far-reaching loss of the way.
Research verse 14:18 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
Have you not seen that Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth? If He wills, He can take you away and bring a new creation.
Research verse 14:19 →
وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ
And that is not beyond Allah in might.
Research verse 14:20 →
وَبَرَزُوا۟ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا فَقَالَ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ قَالُوا۟ لَوْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَيْنَٰكُمْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَجَزِعْنَآ أَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِن مَّحِيصٍ
And they will emerge to God, all together; then the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we used to be followers for you, so can you spare us, from the punishment of God, anything at all?" They will say, "If God had guided us, we would surely have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we panic or whether we endure; there is for us no escape."
Research verse 14:21 →
وَقَالَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى فَلَا تَلُومُونِى وَلُومُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُم مَّآ أَنَا۠ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصْرِخِىَّ إِنِّى كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِن قَبْلُ إِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
And the satan will say, when the matter has been decided, “Indeed, Allah promised you the promise of truth, and I promised you, but I broke my promise to you. And I had no authority over you except that I called you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I am not one to answer your cries for help, and you are not ones to answer my cry for help. Indeed, I have rejected what you had made me share in before. Indeed, the wrongdoers—for them is a painful punishment.”
Research verse 14:22 →
وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ
And those who had believed and done the sound/wholesome deeds were made to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, remaining therein permanently by the leave of their Lord; their greeting therein is “Peace.”
Research verse 14:23 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ
Have you not seen how Allah sets forth a likeness: a wholesome word, like a wholesome tree—its root is firmly fixed, and its top is in the sky.
Research verse 14:24 →
تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
It gives its produce at every time by the leave of its Lord. And Allah sets forth the likenesses for mankind so that they may remember.
Research verse 14:25 →
وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ ٱجْتُثَّتْ مِن فَوْقِ ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِن قَرَارٍ
And the likeness of a foul word is as a foul tree, torn up from above the earth; it has no place of settlement.

يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ
Allah makes firm those who have attained trust, by the firm word, in the low life and in the later one; and Allah lets the darkeners go astray, and Allah does whatever He wills.
Research verse 14:27 →
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ ٱلْبَوَارِ
Have you not seen those who exchanged Allah’s favor for denial, and made their people alight in the abode of ruin,
Research verse 14:28 →
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا وَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ
Hell — they will be exposed to its fire; and how miserable a place of settlement it is.
Research verse 14:29 →
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ
And they set up rivals for Allah so as to lead [people] astray from His path. Say, “Enjoy [your] enjoyment, for indeed your ultimate destination is the Fire.”
Research verse 14:30 →
قُل لِّعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌ لَّا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَٰلٌ
Say to My servants who have attained faith that they should establish the prayer and spend out of what We have provided them, secretly and openly, before a Day comes in which there is no sale and no close friendship.
Research verse 14:31 →
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِىَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
Allah is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down water from the sky, then brought out with it, from the fruits, provision for you; and He has subjected for you the ships, so that they may run in the sea by His command, and He has subjected for you the rivers.
Research verse 14:32 →
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيْنِ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ
And He has subjected for you the sun and the moon, tirelessly working, and He has subjected for you the night and the day.
Research verse 14:33 →
وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ
And He has given you, out of all that you asked Him for. And if you try to count Allah’s favor, you will not be able to encompass it in number. Indeed, the human being is certainly most wrongful, intensely ungrateful.
Research verse 14:34 →
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ
And when Abraham said, “My Lord, make this settlement secure, and keep me and my children away from that we serve the idols.”
Research verse 14:35 →
رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ فَمَن تَبِعَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنِّى وَمَنْ عَصَانِى فَإِنَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
My Lord, indeed they have caused many of the people to stray; so whoever follows me, then he is of me, and whoever defies me, then indeed You are Covering, Merciful.
Research verse 14:36 →
رَّبَّنَآ إِنِّىٓ أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِى بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِى زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَٱجْعَلْ أَفْـِٔدَةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ تَهْوِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ وَٱرْزُقْهُم مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ
Our Lord, I have settled some of my offspring in a valley without cultivation, near Your inviolable House. Our Lord, so that they may establish the prayer. So make hearts from among the people incline toward them, and provide for them from the fruits, so that they may show gratitude.
Research verse 14:37 →
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ
Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we make public, and nothing at all is concealed from Allah in the earth nor in the heaven.
Research verse 14:38 →
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى ٱلْكِبَرِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ
All praise belongs to Allah, the One who granted me, despite old age, Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is surely Hearing of the call.
Research verse 14:39 →
رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ
My Lord, make me one who establishes the prayer, and [also] from my offspring. Our Lord, and accept my calling.
Research verse 14:40 →
رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْحِسَابُ
Our Lord, cover for me, and for my two parents, and for the believers, on the Day the reckoning stands forth.
Research verse 14:41 →
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَٰفِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
And do not ever reckon Allah to be unmindful of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is only deferring them until a Day when the sights will be fixed (in stunned stare).
Research verse 14:42 →
مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِى رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ هَوَآءٌ
Rushing, with their heads raised, their glance does not turn back to them, and their hearts are [like] empty air.
Research verse 14:43 →
وَأَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَخِّرْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍ
And warn the people of the Day when the punishment comes to them, so those who have done wrong will say, “Our Lord, postpone us to a near term: we will answer Your call and follow the messengers.” “But were you not, before, the ones who swore that there would be no passing away for you?”
Research verse 14:44 →
وَسَكَنتُمْ فِى مَسَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
And you settled in the dwellings of those who had wronged their own selves, and it became clear to you how We acted with them, and We set forth the examples for you.
Research verse 14:45 →
وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ ٱلْجِبَالُ
And they certainly devised their devising, while their devising is with Allah — even if their devising were such that, from it, the mountains would be made to vanish.
Research verse 14:46 →
فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ
So do not ever reckon that Allah is one who breaks His promise to His messengers. Indeed, Allah is strong, possessor of vengeance.
Research verse 14:47 →
يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ ٱلْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَبَرَزُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَٰحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ
The Day the earth will be changed to other than this earth, and the heavens [likewise], and they will emerge before Allah, the One, the Subduer.
Research verse 14:48 →
وَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِى ٱلْأَصْفَادِ
And you will see the criminals on that Day chained together in the shackles,
Research verse 14:49 →
سَرَابِيلُهُم مِّن قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ
Their tunics will be of tar, and the Fire will envelop their faces.
Research verse 14:50 →
لِيَجْزِىَ ٱللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ
so that Allah may repay every soul for what it has earned. Indeed, Allah is swift in the reckoning.
Research verse 14:51 →
هَٰذَا بَلَٰغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنذَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَلِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
This is a reaching-deliverance for humanity, so that they may be warned by it, and so that they may know that it is only one God, and so that those endowed with core understanding may take heed.
