Surah At-Tawbah (9:5)

فَإِذَا ٱنسَلَخَ ٱلْأَشْهُرُ ٱلْحُرُمُ فَٱقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَٱحْصُرُوهُمْ وَٱقْعُدُوا۟ لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَخَلُّوا۟ سَبِيلَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

So when the inviolable months have peeled away, then kill the associators wherever you encounter them, and seize them, and hem them in, and sit for them at every lookout. But if they turn back, and uphold the prayer, and give the purifying due, then clear a path for them. Indeed, Allah is Ever-Covering [of faults], Ever-Merciful.
