Surah At-Tawbah (9:17)

مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يَعْمُرُوا۟ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ شَٰهِدِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِم بِٱلْكُفْرِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ

It was not for the associators that they should inhabit / tend the mosques of Allah while bearing witness against themselves with the denial. Those are the ones whose deeds have been nullified, and in the Fire they will be ones who abide.
