Surah At-Tawbah (9:113)

مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن يَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى قُرْبَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

It was not for the prophet and those who had believed to seek covering-forgiveness for the joiners-of-partners, even if they were possessors of close kinship, after it had become clear to them that they are companions of the Blaze.
