Surah An-Nisa (4:20)
وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ ٱسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَءَاتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَىٰهُنَّ قِنطَارًا فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا۟ مِنْهُ شَيْـًٔا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥ بُهْتَٰنًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا
And if you intend the exchanging of one partner in place of another, and you have given one of them a great sum, then do not take anything from it. Would you take it as a blatant fabrication and an evident sin?
