Surah Ghafir (40:85)

فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمْ إِيمَٰنُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا۟ بَأْسَنَا سُنَّتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى قَدْ خَلَتْ فِى عِبَادِهِۦ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

So their trust/faith did not benefit them when they saw Our might; [that is] the pattern of Allah which has indeed passed on among His servants, and the deniers lost out there and then.
