Surah Az-Zumar (39:26)

فَأَذَاقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخِزْىَ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

So Allah made them taste the disgrace in the lowly life, while the punishment of the later (life) is greater—if only they had been knowing.
