Surah Al-Baqarah (2:90)
بِئْسَمَا ٱشْتَرَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَنفُسَهُمْ أَن يَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بَغْيًا أَن يُنَزِّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ فَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ عَلَىٰ غَضَبٍ وَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
Miserable indeed is that for which they bartered away their own selves: that they would deny what Allah has sent down, out of transgression that Allah should send down from His bounty upon whom He wills among His servants. So they came back laden with wrath upon wrath, and for the deniers is a degrading punishment.
