Surah Al-Baqarah (2:87)

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ بِٱلرُّسُلِ وَءَاتَيْنَا عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَأَيَّدْنَٰهُ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُكُمُ ٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقًا كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقًا تَقْتُلُونَ

And indeed We gave Moses the Book, and We caused [messengers] to follow after him in succession. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the clear evidences, and We strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. So is it that whenever a messenger came to you with what your [own] selves did not desire, you acted arrogantly—then a group [of them] you denied, and a group you are killing?
