Surah Al-Baqarah (2:240)

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَٰجًا وَصِيَّةً لِّأَزْوَٰجِهِم مَّتَٰعًا إِلَى ٱلْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ فَإِنْ خَرَجْنَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى مَا فَعَلْنَ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِنَّ مِن مَّعْرُوفٍ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

And those among you who are taken in full (in death) and leave spouses behind: a directive for their spouses is provision for enjoyment up to a year, without expulsion. Then if they go out, there is no burden upon you regarding what they do concerning themselves, in a recognized way. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.
