Surah Al-'Ankabut (29:40)
فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنۢبِهِۦ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
So each one We seized for his own tail‑offense: among them were those upon whom We sent a stone‑flinger, and among them were those whom the piercing cry seized, and among them were those with whom We caved in the earth, and among them were those whom We drowned. And God was not to wrong them, but they themselves were wronging their own selves.
