Surah Ar-Ra'd (13:6)
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
And they urge you on in haste for the bad thing before the good, while the exemplary punishments have already passed away before them. Yet surely your Lord is indeed possessor of covering‑forgiveness for mankind despite their wrongdoing, and surely your Lord is indeed severe in the follow‑up retribution.
