Surah Ar-Ra'd (13:32)

وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ

And indeed, messengers were surely mocked at before you; then I gave respite to those who covered [the truth], then I seized them — so how was My requital?
