وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
Ruin is for every backbiter, fault-finder,
Research verse 104:1 →
ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
the one who amassed wealth and tallied it up,
Research verse 104:2 →
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ
He reckons that his wealth has made him last.
Research verse 104:3 →
كَلَّا لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ
No indeed! He will surely be flung into the Crusher.
Research verse 104:4 →
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ
And what can make you realize what al-Ḥuṭamah is?
Research verse 104:5 →
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ
(It is) the fire of Allah, the kindled (one),
Research verse 104:6 →
ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ
which rises up to reach the hearts.
Research verse 104:7 →
إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ
Indeed, it is closed in upon them,
Research verse 104:8 →
فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ
in outstretched supports.
